      @TrapChrisYGO Thank you! When facing floodgates like that, timing is key, as they can be a double-edged sword. I kept it on the board for my opponent's turn so they could not OTK me and then got rid of it on my next turn so I could combo off and win the game.
      By the way, I was supposed to have another video come out Saturday night, but I got held over at work everyday this week, so it will not be out until next week. Sorry about the wait.

    three traptrix gardens is interesting, any reason you run the full 3 instead of relying on the search from pudica more? great matched btw

      @@andrekerlin7731 Honestly, I just like seeing the card in my opening hand; it makes your plays much more explosive. Pudica is a big target for hand traps too, so I like baiting them out with her when I already have the field spell in hand. A lot of players do not realize either, that the search effects of Mantis and Myrmeleo are not hard once per turns, so if you have multiple copies in your hand and the field spell, you can get multiple searches off of them, while not wasting your normal on Pudica. It is also especially better if you are running a pure version of the deck and not any sub engines.
      That being said, 2 is probably the correct ratio for the card, which I have know for a while, but as I continue to optimize my build, it will probably get down to as I get continue to playtest and get access to more cards for the strategy.

    Why called by the grave doesnt negate holuteia? Does it miss timing or trap card are faster so the chain effect resolve before??

    • @stoic_hero_tcg
      @stoic_hero_tcg  3 місяці тому +1

      @@Agamennonem Called by the Grave has to banish the monster in order to negate, so if you chain an effect that summons (like I did) or otherwise removes the card from the GY so that the effect of Called by can not banish that card itself, then the effect fizzles out. That is why it is usually best to activate it in response to something instead of just on its own, as you can interrupt your opponent's plays, but it can also be interrupted.

      @stoic_hero_tcg  3 місяці тому

      @@d22268 Not everyone rips Nib on 5, and a lot of Traptrix players greed and go into Pinguicula before Rafflesia. He probably was waiting until I got a more established board (as some players do), especially since he had the Imperm in hand to negate any potential negates to it, but did not know how Traptrix operates. The amount of people that forget the extra deck ones are immune to all traps effects is astonishing.
      I usually run 2 Shade Brigandine, but this was a new test build I was messing with for this event. I have not had Banishing be a brick yet and the deck absolutely destroys Tear decks (but has started to struggle against Lightsworn variants).

    The trap cards really depend on the current meta deck. I removed all card with effect of destroying enemy card cus of yubel. Thats that traptrix i run and i played couple games in lv18 dc cup with it. I really recommend the black goat laugh. I value it really high because it can be used set and in graveyard too. So u can send it to the graveyard as cost for the traptix too. The effect of selecting monster and making unable to special summon is crazy.

      @@valplay1155 I unfortunately only made it to 17 due to the time constraint of usually having less than an hour a day to play and life stuff keeping from playing the event for a few days.
      This event was my first playtest since getting Maxx "C" for the deck. My ratios were a bit off, but I got a lot of good info from it so I will be posting a revised version here soon.
      My deck design has always been avoiding destruction effects as much as possible to minimalize my opponent capitalizing on them, so it is a good strategy, especially with as you mentioned Yubel becoming more prevalent. Deep Dark Trap Hole is an interesting inclusion in yours. I have been having a lot of success with Banishing Trap Hole. It hits so much of the meta, especially common starters and extenders.
      I can see why you like TBGL, but it is just not my cup of tea, really. I have thought about experimenting with Transaction Rollback, as there are so many games I could of clenched out with one more activation of Gravedigger's Trap Hole. I really like the recursion of Lost Wind for the deck too, won so many games because of it. Honestly like seeing it over Infinite Impermanence outside of going second a lot of the times, as the attack reduction and permanent negation is so much more useful most of the time.

      @valplay1155 3 місяці тому +1

      @stoic_hero_tcg traptrix really depends on preference ngl. The ratio of the traptrix monsters are different, and people use different trap cards. I used to use lost wind before TBGL cus i saw in one of your vid and I liked it.
      At some point, I saw someone using traptrix with aroma 😭

      @stoic_hero_tcg  3 місяці тому +1

      @@valplay1155 Yeah, Aroma, Ragnaraika, Beetrooper, Mathmech, there are a lot of sub-engines people are experimenting with right now. I definitely feel like Traptrix needs something currently though, as recent releases are causing it to struggle against decks it use to always handle easily before.
      By the way, I did finally watch that replay you told me about on another video. I have a commentary video in the works for it, I have just been dealing with sickness and allergies, not to mention time constraints, so I have not been able to finish recording the commentary for it yet.

      @@Raff_Craft_001 Interesting build. Ragnaraika definitely has potential, but it plays very differently to Traptrix and most of its removal effects are destruction, which I tend to avoid. That being said, I have thought about incorporating Ragnaraika Mantis potentially for a guaranteed trap, or the water Link 3 to pop backrow outside of Traptrix Mantis, which occasionally gets hit by Called by the Grave. I am currently experimenting with 1 Ragnaraika Butterfly in Master Duel, but that is about it.
