Monster Wood Chipper

Bandit Beast 4680 chipper knife conversion package. This operation generates biomass fuel for a local power plant that requires chips, not grindings. Traditional whole tree wood chippers can not handle the hard vibrations caused from shorter thick logs. The infeed chain also allows for higher production vs. traditional whole tree chippers which are difficult to feed more than one log at a time. Average 30 ton load in approximately 15 minutes. Significantly higher production is possible but production was constrained at this operation because just one knuckle-boom is used to feed and the loads are being hot loaded. 1050 hp Cat-27 with screens installed to control chip sizes.
