Hi from NZ, Cley is where my Ancestors came from 17th century I am also a surf fisherman About your bait being stripped Put a bobble float on the end of you tackle then hooks a stop with a running sinker This will take the Bait off the seabead We also get plagued by crabs This has worked well for me in the past Keep at it mate I only use one rod and keep it in my hands all the time more fish are hooked this way by feel not sight
Thanks for the message. I will try your float rig . All tips gratefully received . I’m Norfolk born and bred, can trace my family back hundreds of years, all Norfolk people. Some have left these shores, there maybe some in NZ. Good luck with your fishing.
