this is one of not so many clearly explained channels out there and I must say I'm happy to see apple motion, resolve and blender all in one. like said... they go hand in hand in the world of movie making.
sometimes there is a tutorial for apple motion which I try to copy in davinci to see if I understood everything.
that one epic tutorial of 7 parts ... I wish to like to see more of those... yes i am greedy... no serious .. it was a great tutorial ... which contained knowledge, humour and very well explained content.
do this channel I started to try apple motion.
di I get it... no not really but at least I tried.
thank you for this channel .. 😊😊😊 much appreciated .

Hello Simon your apple motion videos are inspirational. I appreciate you sharing your time, talent, and tutorials. You’re a legendary visual effects artist. Teaching myself by means of UA-cam videos, it was your Fusion tutorials that came across my feed first. Shortly after, Blender tutorials began popping up. So I downloaded it to follow along. They were followed by Motion videos. I'm beginning to see the benefits and limitations of each piece of software and have come to the conclusion that I "need" all three. Okay, maybe want, not need.
I've consumed more content on UA-cam than any sane person should ever have, and without hesitation, I can easily say your content has been the easiest to understand, the most informative and the most engaging. All at no cost to me.
    I appreciate you. Thank you.

I really appreciate your channel. I've been a self taught videographer and editor semi professionally for a few years and have always wanted to get into motion graphics and animations for my own stuff and for more work opportunities. I always have HATED Adobe products and used Final Cut. I didn't even know Motion existed until stumbling across it, I can't even remember where. Though I learned the basics on my own, your tutorials have really given me a much wider scope to what is actually possible when you get more creative with all the seemingly simple little bits available. I'll watch many of them just to see what new little trick is there I never thought of. And it's not like there are really any other people making deep Motion tutorials I've seen.
Now I recently have become a full time video editor and motion graphic artist for a small company, and without learning Motion and your catalog of content, that wouldn't have been possible. Thanks a ton.

Have to say, I've been a watcher since the beginning and I massively appreciate your content. I'm not a serious designer or editor myself - well, I do sound design - but I just have an insatiable curiosity about how things work. Believe it or not, your content made a few things click in other areas and, ultimately, allowed me to get my head around differential geometry sufficiently well to finally grasp the General Theory of Relativity beyond mere intuition. I've always recommended in those places where audio and video peeps converge.

Hey Simon, I just wanted to know that you are an absolutely *monumental* inspiration to me when it comes to doing motion graphics in Apple Motion. For a while now, like you, I believe AE is expensive and it does not provide a fast and optimized user experience. It is mainly through your channel (and Dylan Bates') that I discovered just how much Apple Motion can do, especially for how little it costs.
I have since become a big advocate for Apple Motion everywhere online, and I always try to direct people to your channel if they want to get a sense of what you can do with Motion, and learn how to use Motion.
It's really unfortunately that there's a lack of resources for Apple Motion online compared to AE, but you are doing a huge favor and service to many of us Apple Motion learners with your frequent, high quality Apple Motion tutorials, and I'm incredibly grateful for your contribution to the Apple Motion community. Calling you a "legend" is simply an understatement at this point.
Please keep up the great work! I look forward to more of your tutorials.

That all comes down to the quality of the end product. It is impossible to sell what apple motion allows to create.

    • @JamesZhan
      @JamesZhan 8 місяців тому

@@ПавелГолузов-я4г But the thing is exactly that it does not all come down to the quality of the end product. If that was the case, I'd bet there would be a lot more people using Apple Motion.
The nuance here is that many people mistakenly think Apple Motion is just some kind of title editor, and they just go to AE by default for any kind of motion graphics work.
Simon's videos show that you can get very, very far with Apple Motion and most people can save that $20 a month for AE.

Thanks Simon for sharing the knowledge that software manuals either omit or could never contain.
I'm an on again off again VFX/3D hobbyist depending on if I have good enough hardware to run fusion etc.
For me the "final product" for tutorials on VFX channels isn't a goal I'm trying to reach BUT what I watch for is knowing the underlying technique primatives that can for the most part be software-agnostic; or just broadly knowing what some software is capable of.
Some things I've noticed about the youtube algorithm and VFX channels,
Over time I've noticed most VFX channels just do not break high subscriber numbers I hypothesize because of how niche the audience is & how insular the entire industry is as a whole vs common content approaches. Or put another way how low level and close to the metal the VFX process is while requiring both higher effort to make long tut videos by the content creator and the hardware for the learner to have access to run the software.
Like even a NukeFX artist barely breaks 60k subs, and I've seen several AE channels do VERY high quality content just fall off.
There's outliers with high sub counts but they seem to either be established AE channels, and or always doing tut's for fads of the moment like some effect from a recent movie; and most also seem to have their channel as a complementary to other business like selling assets, courses, or their own software(hitfilm) so they can burn time on production in building up a content library for a virtuous cycle.
About the only change I've seen with youtube for all this in the past few years was shorts , like how software such as blender would bubble shorts to the top real fast if I watched even a single blender video; but I don't think I've ever seen the algorithmic push as hard for any apple motion shorts, nor for resolve/fusion, or nukefx , or hitfilm shorts to popup in the same way as the blender stuff.
It's weird but that could have also been due to blenders renaissance following blender v3; or my own search echo chamber /shrug.

Simon, I run a woodworking channel where I give every design I make away for free. I link people to a webpage that has no ads where I spend hours doing step by step instructions, materials and tools used...I basically do it all for nothing and try to find the cheapest way to do it so that others that are starting out can jump in and get the same enjoyment I have with woodworking. I pay at least 300 a year just to keep the website running.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that I understand your position. UA-cam is unbearably stingy. I constantly see people talk about how I only do things because I'm getting that great ad revenue...but it's literally so small it doesn't pay for the materials or blades used to make the projects. I like knowing I'm helping others. I'm hoping that there is a magical guy in the sky and that he's proud of me for wanting to make others happy.
Anyway, thank you for showing the same passion that I try to show to others. I know what your position is. What you're doing is unheard of...it is above what most humans do: It's the act of doing for the sheer enjoyment of knowing you've enriched someone else. It's a labor of love. There is no greater human quality. In my case, I do it for my mental health. The world is so chaotic right now that doing something positive helps to round out the darkness outside of my home.
God bless you, Simon. Thank you. Your work has immensely helped me. If you're getting thumb downs, ignore them. I stopped looking at my youtube subscriber / views / likes and even comments because they took me away from what I love doing (believe me, it's incredibly difficult shielding my eyes away from the right side of the screen when I open studios and when I click on videos I need to edit the data for!).

I used your water droplet tutorial just recent to enchance an animation where it would have been nightmare fuel to have added any other way 🙏

Love the channel. I started with Motion and found your tutorials at the time to be very inspiring. Then started using Resolve, Blender and now Unreal Engine (it's also essentially available for free). They all have their unique benefits. Would love to see you get into Unreal Engine as well.

Dear colleague Simon! Believe me - not a single one of your videos escapes my attention and I immediately share your lessons with all interested parties in my public pages. This is how it was and how it will be as long as your videos are publicly available.

    Hello Simon,
I sometimes like your videos, especially the one on Apple Motion because that's the software I use among those you use. From now on, I would like all of your videos in order to help you as much as possible because your content is really well explained and of excellent quality! (While being free, thank you again!).
Thank you and good luck, see you soon for other videos!
PS: If the idea of doing Apple Motion tutorials on animations like MagnatesMedia, Vox, Iman Gadzhi would be great ;)
