Lathe Chuck Removal (screw on)

How to remove a screw on lathe chuck the easy way and with less chance of damage to your chuck.
This video shows the use of a simple bit (off cut) hex bar to easily remove the chuck.

Great tip thanks, been trying to figure out how to get my boxford apart.....now I've seen this it's obvious, just use an Allen key then you have a lever there too and if it's stiff stick a tube over it

Cheers, yep I use an allen key for a while but always ended up using the allen key for something else so was never there but the hex bar doesn't get used for owt ele so is always (!!!) on the lathe waiting. Thanks for watching.
