I feel like I *strongly liked* the first season but *loved* this season. Some people have complained, wanting more sex scenes. This season had one sex scene but still managed to have as much tension and flirtatious/sexual energy as the first. I’m sad for Pen and Eloise 😭 Now we have to wait another year or two for season 3. 💀
I wanted the #Kanthony wedding too. They‘re so annoying for not giving it to us 😩 Can’t wait to see more of them in Season 3 & 4. I hope we get as much of them as we did the Featheringtons

I swear I don't even watch romance/dramas, but when my wife turned this on I was hooked 15 minutes into the first episode! I'm in my 30's and have NEVER cried watch anything until Bridgerton Season 2. I cried like 4 times, well really more then that because I've re-watched the last dance like 15 times and cried every time it gets to the part where their grasped hands drop in front of their faces and you can see the sadness in Kate's face. I've now went on to watch season one, and I'm ADDICTED to all things Bridgerton now. Looking forward to season three JUST because Simone Ashley(Kate) said we will see more of KANTHONY next season. I really enjoy your reactions, and I have now watched all of them for this season of Bridgerton. Keep up the great work!
I’m the same. I normally don’t like romance dramas but my best friend adores them and the last time I visit her she had season 2 of Bridgerton on and insisted I give it a shot. I loved every second and then went on to watch season 1 and now recently the Queen Charlotte spin off and I’m in love. Nothing is touching Kanthony for me but I do love everything else in the Bridgerton universe

When Kanthony danced together at the ball and lowered their hands and Kate got emotional….ughhhh, that’s when the tears came for me. We got to see the very moment she realized she was loved by him and was finally open to receive it. The actors did an incredible job🙌🏾 They deserve Emmys for that moment alone let alone the rest…PERFECTION✨✨✨
I hate seeing Pen and Eloise fight, but it was a really good scene and a long time coming tbh. I’m really curious about what Pen is going to do in season 3. She got dragged by Eloise and lost her best friend. Then she got dissed by Colin. The Whistledown persona really is all she has now. I don’t know how she can continue as Whistledown now that Eloise knows, but Penelope seemed pretty defiant at the end of the episode.
In the books it's her favourite flowers and there's alot of symbolism and imagery with tulips! I wish there were more tulips in the show but her wearing flowers in her hair and having tulip sleeves was a nice nod to Kate's love for them in the book
I freakin love the whole kanthony in the ball, from how they approaching each other, and being playfully with that fingers counting, start dancing and that “just keep looking at me” in his deep soft voice! i’m dead. THIS SEASON IS FREAKIN WILL ALWAYS BE MY FAVORITE!
Waited for hours for this reaction. I truly loved this season. I watch season 1 once and never rewatched it again. But for season 2, I watched it literally 5 times already (skipping some scenes though). I am in love with Anthony and Kate. I just so loved their dance in Ep 8. Finally, they let their guards down, especially Anthony, who cared so much about his reputation, his family's name. During that dance, he only cared about Kate. And the Queen even felt the love they shared to the point that she literally saved both families from scandal. Ughhhh also Edwina 😍 Cant wait for them to go back to Season 3. Yes! I really hope we get more of Kate and Anthony in season 3. I loved their chemistry. I agree with you and other posts, feels like we got other subplots like the Featheringtons when I would have rather seen more Kate and Anthony, like their wedding. This season was wonderful
When it comes to the Penelope/Lady Whistledown situation we need to understand something. This is the 1800s women are dependent on their male counterparts to survive unless they have a gift that’s extraordinary (opera singer). Keep in mind even in that they are dependent on male fans. Penelope home life situation is quite tumultuous. Her father is murdered and even before than the family finances are in dire straits. With the limited opportunities available to her being who she is she became a 1800 gossip mag. And earned her coin to save for a rainy day. Eloise has always had the support of family and finances. And while Penelope has talked about the Bridgertons it was never out malice also it was a way for her to protect them Colin in s1 and Eloise s2.

I felt for Pen because she clearly has her own issues but I was like girl, you did not have to go that hard on her in that paper😭at most she should've just kept it at Eloise was seen getting a little close to a "commoner" and left it there, that would've caused enough scandal that would've also died down eventually.
I think they are gonna do for Colin something along the lines of what they did for Anthony this season! I remember i truly hated his controlling and misogynistic ass in season 1 and didn't find him in the least attractive. They managed to turn all of those feelings on their head completely THIS season, so I have some faith in the writers of this show!
Exactly! Colin will get his glow up and character arc. They will make sure we are fully invested. Pen needs her character arc as well because she is quite nasty and defiant right now. But I know they will sort her out as well.

I was checking all day for your reaction and then yes finally. I am so happy with this whole season, definitely more chemistry than season 2. Anthony never looked at anyone the way he looked at Kate and his smile in the end was that of true happiness. I can't imagine season 3 getting any better than this. I find Eloise kind of annoying but I didn't quite know why until Penelope hit the nail on the head. She's all talk I wanna see her do something with her knowledge.
*People seem to hate Penelope but be reminded, that if she hadn't written bad about Eloise on the papers, Eloise would've been fully destroyed by Queen anyway. That would have been a much bigger scandal in my opinion, especially for something she hadn't done.* At least Penelope wrote about something that Eloise indeed did. Idk what's rocket science to understand that people intentionally try to degrade Penelope's character. She's the one who's been suffering from destitution, uncaring family, unaffectionate mother, judgment society, unrequited love and the pain of being friend zoned from time to time. There's too much a young girl can endure. Just imagine yourself in that situation. You would understand her dilemma and pain.

Shonda unfortunately tend to destroy the good relationships like she does on Grace's Anatomy. That's why between Pen and Eloise it went from like sisters to enemies. Great reaction anyway 👍 I loved this season and revisited it with you. Benedict is not bi in the book, so I don't think they will go in that road. But they might add a little bit of spice in the porridge. There shouldn't also be a 3rd wheel but we never now. What I do no, is that the book is packed of love scene from the get go, so I don't think that they will stay vanilla like they did for season 2. I enjoyed the flirtatious eyes, moment, word. And the way you just realised ad the end that Theo is kinda hot. I Hope that you'll find a deeper and sexy love! May God bless you with that. Spoiler: I know that you hate Colin but DON'T skip his season, if you cared for Pen.
when i watched the last ep and found out they skipped the wedding and only showed a short honeymoon scene it killed meee, like you put us through all that just to not reward us???
I really wished they reworked the last three episodes so that we could see Kanthony married and more of Anthony's reason for marrying without love. In the series, he is heartbroken from last season, but in the books he is still dealing with the trauma of his father's sudden death. I would've done it like this: episode 6 - Anthony suddenly decides to propose to Kate, not Edwina, in front of everyone before her family leaves his house. Episode 7- They get married but Anthony still refuses to acknowledge his feelings and introduces the idea of no love in their marriage while also working through his childhood trauma caused by his father's death, plus the drama of Edwina feeling betrayed, and Kate gets frustrated with her marriage/sister situation and still goes for the ride that caused the accident. Episode 8 - the aftermath where Edwina forgives Kate and Anthony finally overcomes his issues and comes to terms with loving Kate.

But she was kind of living her dream though Edwina because she also believed that she owed Mary for taking care of her (she obviously somewhere feel guilty that she was the reason Sheffield fortune was kept away from Mary and Edwina). I mean even after doing those things with Anthony and him asking her for marriage, she refused because Anthony never said I love u till that time and she could not allow it. Both the characters go through the arc. Also I think the reason they did not show wedding was because people(us fans) sonewhere would have complared both the weddings. Also I believe a lot of fans would have complained about not getting representation right if they would have shown Kathani wearing a white wedding dress marrying in a church. Sure Edwina was also shown like that but she was trying to get in the society while Kate always had her own personality (and that included her culture in it).She had stronger Indian roots than Edwina. So now fans can actually imagine their wedding with her wearing a red gown or Sari (as many of their ff shows). I know someone from the show said that Edwina would not have come to Kate's wedding and that is why they did not show but I do not believe that.
@@dilsedesi1704 I'm talking about how I think they should've mashed the TV series with the actual book's events. In the book, he never proposes to Edwina and Edwina doesn't like him that much. I know the series wanted to have more drama, but I think they could've created that drama for Anthony and Kate post-marriage, like what is in the book. Kate also had trauma from her mother dying, which is never shown in the series. I wished their story was more about that rather than about the two sisters falling for the same man. Also, Edwina would've 100% showed up for their wedding. No showing up wouldn't make sense for her personality. That's another problem I have with the show is they kind of changed her personality to make her more mean and jaded.
@@tosh4771 I know I have read the book and I would have loved some backstory on Kate's mother in the show. Maybe we'll get that in S3. Simone said that Kanthony had just started but honestly imo I liked the show better than book because that forced marriage plot due to bee sting was just uggh. Also Edwina barely had any personality. I like the arc she went through the season. But I agree, they could have made her a little bit more perceptive and mature. But we can't get everything. Also Anthony behaves like an a**hole so many times in the books. I really did not like his personality in the books but the show Kanthony has made me a Bridgerton fanatic.

I know people say Season 1 was crap or whatever, but I don't agree. I will say Season 2 is more dramatic and over-the-top, which is common with TV Shows but I absolutely love Bridgerton cause ALLL the characters feel like real people, the script is amazing, the actors are talented af and it's so well done. What's not to like?

They managed to turn all of those feelings on their head completely THIS season, so I have some faith in the writers of this show!
Exactly! Colin will get his glow up and character arc. They will make sure we are fully invested. Pen needs her character arc as well because she is quite nasty and defiant right now. But I know they will sort her out as well.

I was checking all day for your reaction and then yes finally. I am so happy with this whole season, definitely more chemistry than season 2. Anthony never looked at anyone the way he looked at Kate and his smile in the end was that of true happiness. I can't imagine season 3 getting any better than this. I would love to see your reactions to more steamy movies and series.

Watched a lot of reactions to this season, but none made me laugh as much as you did😂😭. So many prime moments like cursing the horse, how much you called out how hot their tension was... Loved it, truly and utterly loved every second of it!!!
I find Eloise kind of annoying but I didn't quite know why until Penelope hit the nail on the head. She's all talk I wanna see her do something with her knowledge.

At least Penelope wrote about something that Eloise indeed did. Idk what's rocket science to understand that people intentionally try to degrade Penelope's character.
She's the one who's been suffering from destitution, uncaring family, unaffectionate mother, judgment society, unrequited love and the pain of being friend zoned from time to time. There's too much a young girl can endure.
Just imagine yourself in that situation. You would understand her dilemma and pain.
Um she could’ve proved that she was whistledown, taking responsibility for her actions and not flinging her best friend under the bus.

Cause the only responsibility at those times for being a Lady Whistledown was complete ruination, whole family banned from society, sisters can never get married, brothers are shunted from their peers, and well, if Queen is involved, then it'd be a wonder you'd even be allowed to live there.
Writing scandal sheets was a HUGE thing for woman those times. In fact, writing ANYTHING.

Benedict is not bi in the book, so I don't think they will go in that road. But they might add a little bit of spice in the porridge. There shouldn't also be a 3rd wheel but we never now.
What I do no, is that the book is packed of love scene from the get go, so I don't think that they will stay vanilla like they did for season 2. I enjoyed the flirtatious eyes, moment, word. And the way you just realised ad the end that Theo is kinda hot.

when i watched the last ep and found out they skipped the wedding and only showed a short honeymoon scene it killed meee, like you put us through all that just to not reward us???
I really wished they reworked the last three episodes so that we could see Kanthony married and more of Anthony's reason for marrying without love. In the series, he is heartbroken from last season, but in the books he is still dealing with the trauma of his father's sudden death. I would've done it like this: episode 6 - Anthony suddenly decides to propose to Kate, not Edwina, in front of everyone before her family leaves his house. Episode 7- They get married but Anthony still refuses to acknowledge his feelings and introduces the idea of no love in their marriage while also working through his childhood trauma caused by his father's death, plus the drama of Edwina feeling betrayed, and Kate gets frustrated with her marriage/sister situation and still goes for the ride that caused the accident. Episode 8 - the aftermath where Edwina forgives Kate and Anthony finally overcomes his issues and comes to terms with loving Kate.
@@tosh4771And do u really think Kate would have said yes to the wedding without Anthony saying I love you. She clearly always wanted a love match but she put aside her desires for her family. But she was kind of living her dream though Edwina because she also believed that she owed Mary for taking care of her (she obviously somewhere feel guilty that she was the reason Sheffield fortune was kept away from Mary and Edwina). I mean even after doing those things with Anthony and him asking her for marriage, she refused because Anthony never said I love u till that time and she could not allow it. Both the characters go through the arc. Also I think the reason they did not show wedding was because people(us fans) sonewhere would have complared both the weddings. Also I believe a lot of fans would have complained about not getting representation right if they would have shown Kathani wearing a white wedding dress marrying in a church. Sure Edwina was also shown like that but she was trying to get in the society while Kate always had her own personality (and that included her culture in it).She had stronger Indian roots than Edwina. So now fans can actually imagine their wedding with her wearing a red gown or Sari (as many of their ff shows).
I know someone from the show said that Edwina would not have come to Kate's wedding and that is why they did not show but I do not believe that.
@@dilsedesi1704 I'm talking about how I think they should've mashed the TV series with the actual book's events. In the book, he never proposes to Edwina and Edwina doesn't like him that much. I know the series wanted to have more drama, but I think they could've created that drama for Anthony and Kate post-marriage, like what is in the book. Kate also had trauma from her mother dying, which is never shown in the series. I wished their story was more about that rather than about the two sisters falling for the same man. Also, Edwina would've 100% showed up for their wedding. No showing up wouldn't make sense for her personality. That's another problem I have with the show is they kind of changed her personality to make her more mean and jaded.
@@tosh4771 I know I have read the book and I would have loved some backstory on Kate's mother in the show. Maybe we'll get that in S3. Simone said that Kanthony had just started but honestly imo I liked the show better than book because that forced marriage plot due to bee sting was just uggh. Also Edwina barely had any personality. I like the arc she went through the season. But I agree, they could have made her a little bit more perceptive and mature. But we can't get everything. Also Anthony behaves like an a**hole so many times in the books. I really did not like his personality in the books but the show Kanthony has made me a Bridgerton fanatic.

I know people say Season 1 was crap or whatever, but I don't agree. I will say Season 2 is more dramatic and over-the-top, which is common with TV Shows but I absolutely love Bridgerton cause ALLL the characters feel like real people, the script is amazing, the actors are talented af and it's so well done. What's not to like?

And the seasons follow the books, and by the books Benedict already has his partner, Sophie. But imagine how nice it would be if they made a bisexual character dealing with it at the worst possible time, it would be interesting
It's just frustrating that they can't be queer even though apparently love cured racism within the show! But it would have been nice if Ben or Eloise had a bf and gf respectively before Sophie and Phillip come along!
@@Sanji-Writes yes it makes me so sad, I would love to see how they handled it, obviously queer people existed back then but they sure spent their whole lives hiding, imagine what that approach would be like, it would be very interesting. Of course before sophie or phillip came along. I think they could even, if they could, have put something like that. For example with benedict, he's always at these artists' parties, always going out like this, they could have already confused him about sexuality if they wanted to, there was an opening for that. But unfortunately the series is very realistic about the period that passes, so I highly doubt that will happen 😞

I heard people say that Kate and Anthony didn't have any chemistry? Like wut!? They didn't have sex for 7 episodes and they had me wrapped and invested all the way. The over did the "almost kisses" tho. These people that can't see the chemistry, are like Edwina; blind to whats in front of them
