Your theme music started and from the other room, my husband yelled, "It's Darcy!!" You're getting famous even amongst the non-stitching crowd now! 😆 I love the new fabric colors! The snowflake was perfect - made me laugh!
There is a thing like sticky cardboard. It's mostly used for gaming posters, and it's even acid-free. I buy mine at a big DIY store that also has frames, and they will cut the cardboard to the right size.
Hi Darcy! I must be living under a rock because I have not seen your floss tubes before this morning! There are always those people out there, they have nothing better to do with their lives so I’m happy you found a way around it. Lol I’ve been thinking about red fabric in the last month and didn’t want something just plain and you showed your fabric and I loved it! 😍 so I hopped over to your Etsy and fully expected you to live in the US and I wouldn’t be able to get it because of the $$ difference and duty etc. I couldn’t believe you were Canadian, what an awesome surprise! Woohoo! I clearly hadn’t watched past this episode so I didn’t know. I was excited to see you weren’t sold out and snatched it up! Lol 😂 I can’t wait to get it! I will be scoping out your Etsy shop often!
Thank you so much!! People are liking the red fabric, I've sold out twice already and am making more as we speak! I'll have yours in the mail tomorrow! Thank you!!! 🇨🇦
Hi Darcy 💗 Love the yellow fabric! That’s next on my shopping list. I like the idea of slightly larger cuts. Ohhh…love the red!!! Instead of cardstock, you can use comic book backing boards. They are acid free! Thanks for the framing tutorial! ‘‘Twas awesome 💗
So... in talking about Merry fn Christmas! Love the snowflake for the snowflakes, perfect!!! My sister & I play Scrabble... one evening, she put cl i t as a word... my turn I added mas to it... we laughed!!! Now every Christmas we say Merry Cli t mas to each other!!!
Thank you so much for sharing how you frame Darcy! The measuring made absolute sense and is much better than the trial and error I usually do of just moving things round about 20 times!! I will definitely be taking tips from the professional framer stitch man
Red and yellow are fun colors. Life is just too short for boring fabric. On a wall is definitely better than in a drawer, and while sometimes people seem to think otherwise, the cross stitch police really aren’t going to come for any of us. Heh. Although now I’m picturing it, and that would be hilarious. They probably have the prettiest badges… stitched in silk. On beige. 😂
OOH that red is NICE although that Throne of Blood clip is now my new nightmare. I like this new format! Its always so hard to remember what on earth happened since "the last video".
Love it. I like to pretend I’m a professional framer with my driver gun and tape gun and I use core board (the foamy one) and pins. But really there’s a lot of eyeballing involved and I refuse to use a ruler for anything 😂 I tried lacing and really hated it. If it looks good and it works for you then it’s the perfect method. Never mind the chaotic back lol
Thanks for showing a great way to get those finished pieces out of the drawer and up on a wall. Very good idea that will take a lot less effort and time than pins and lacing. What weight is your cardstock? It seems to be quite sturdy. Take care!
I don't think it was cardstock exactly, maybe a bit of a sturdier step up. It was a big piece of something that I found at Michaels. That's a technical term - "a big piece of something" 😂
I cannot believe that someone reported you on Etsy. That is terrible but you handled it professionally in my eyes. Love your Sunflower Cottage and the song too. Thank you for showing us on how to frame a cross-stitch piece. I would not lace mine so I love how you do yours and for my first small project I am going to try your way. You are very talented in what you do: Create, Cross Stitch, Dying Fabric & now Framing. All I can say is that you are awesome. Keep up the great work that you do. Happy Stitching.
Darcy! Good to see you again. Listen, there are plenty of products on Etsy with the 'F' word. Who cares? I'm personally not a fan, so i just don't look at/buy those things. I did like your work-around. I've been collecting your fabrics - love the yellow. You should know that most dyers call them 'brights' and 'neutrals' (not 'boring').😅 Thanks for the several Wonderful Life clips. I never got to watch it this past Christmas, even though it is the Ultimate Christmas Movie. Hugs to Miss Maple❤
There’s always those who like to be offended 🙄 They would be disappointed if they didn’t find any reason to be I’m sure. Love the red fabric, loved your update .. though I feel the need now to watch Goodfellas again 😅 Looking forward to seeing your new start progress
Was the person named KAREN? People need to get a life! BTW we all use our own janky was to frame and finish, you were just brave enough to share with us! ❤ love your silliness!
Whoever reported you to the Etsy police were being snowflakes for sure! Love Jacob's voice but I wanted to hear your thoughts on Sunflower Cottage. I can't read lips Man! I do like Trapeze Girl too. It's very nice. I like you're expanding your color choices and fabric sizes. I wish you the very best this year!!
I couldn't tell where it came from. Someone suggested it might have been Etsy's program randomly scanning for inappropriate stuff, but I don't think so because there was nothing inappropriate in the title or write-up. You would have had to look at the picture. Definitely an uptight American 🤣
Love both of your red and yellow color ways, Darcy. Enjoyed your video today.
Your theme music started and from the other room, my husband yelled, "It's Darcy!!" You're getting famous even amongst the non-stitching crowd now! 😆 I love the new fabric colors! The snowflake was perfect - made me laugh!
The fabrics are SOOOO pretty!! I love me some super bold and bright fabrics, there definitely needs to be more color!
There is a thing like sticky cardboard. It's mostly used for gaming posters, and it's even acid-free. I buy mine at a big DIY store that also has frames, and they will cut the cardboard to the right size.
OMGosh, Throne of Blood! I used to show clips of that when I taught Macbeth to high school seniors. 💙your videos.
It's one of the best Shakespeare adaptations!
Thank you for answering ALL of my questions :) Heading over to Etsy now

@ thank you, I can’t wait! 🇨🇦
A snowflake for the snowflakes made me laugh so hard, thanks for brightening my morning. Bought some fabric, can’t wait for it to arrive.
Did u say stitch man not getting up! Lol
I so want that happy face chart to be called ‘Have A Day’. It’s so good.

That's fantastic 😂
I loved your tutorial. I will be framing something later this week and will totally give it a try. Just bought a bunch of your fabric, so nice.
Thank you!!!
That red! 😮😍 Waiting patiently for you to dye some more! Please!
They sold out fast! I just did 4 more though!
@StitchManDarcy and I just bought one (and a couple of friends because they can't travel to Australia alone!)
I am loving your dyed fabric! Thank you so much for the professional framing tutorial! 💝
The professionalist 😂

Such a professional 😂 Thank you!! I'm looking forward to watching your new video later tonight!
I kind of frame like you just did. But I use two-sided tape. Your red material is just gorgeous.
Two sided tape is a good idea, I might try that next!! Thank you!
That red fabric is phenomenal!
Thank you!! I'm pretty thrilled with it 😂

Thank you for your framing video. Let's face it, haven't we all gotten professional frame jobs for $300 that we weren't 100% happy with the results?
OOH that red is NICE although that Throne of Blood clip is now my new nightmare. I like this new format! Its always so hard to remember what on earth happened since "the last video".
@@meghanpoco2833 You should try it! I miss you! It's so hard to remember when the first of the month is without you!! 😂
I just got "hang in there" I think it's going to be my Trump inauguration project...

I was sure you were going to use Red Green’s secret weapon.
I almost did. I bet it would have worked perfectly 🤣

Do you think the salespeople at Micheal's will know where to find "a big piece of something" in the store? 🤣
That Jacob piece is really fantastic with those blue shades. Were they the called for colors? Love your red fabric too.
I'm 99% sure I used the called for colors. It was DMC 3750 and 932.

What an amazing compliment! Thank you!!
I still really like your yellow fabric.

I want to watch Goodfellas again now too. I watched Midnight Run last night. I'm in a De Niro mood. 😂
Can I request a new design? Clark Gable as Rhett Butler please. 🙏🏻
Was the person named KAREN? People need to get a life! BTW we all use our own janky was to frame and finish, you were just brave enough to share with us!
❤ love your silliness!
I'm discovering that! I watch these pro tutorials and assume everyone does it that way, but apparently not 😂
Whoever reported you to the Etsy police were being snowflakes for sure! Love Jacob's voice but I wanted to hear your thoughts on Sunflower Cottage. I can't read lips Man!
I do like Trapeze Girl too. It's very nice.
I like you're expanding your color choices and fabric sizes. I wish you the very best this year!!
Love both your red and yellow fabrics! I cannot believe someone reported you on Etsy. Get a life🙄
Was it coming from the US? I find that Canadians swear like they breathe and Americans seem to be so horribly offended by swearing...
I couldn't tell where it came from. Someone suggested it might have been Etsy's program randomly scanning for inappropriate stuff, but I don't think so because there was nothing inappropriate in the title or write-up. You would have had to look at the picture. Definitely an uptight American 🤣
