Sarah & Kelan, Leichhardt Falls is a cracking spot. We were there 2 years, no bugger there got a couple of fish too. Nearly every trip, the LC cops a cracked or chipped screen we repair with Ufixit windscreen repair warm inside with cig lighter does a great job ,Super cheap sell them .I just used it on the way home from Broome. When u get to Broome go on Kimberley cruise, the fishing in s/hot. Safe travels.

I not long finished doing the Gibb twice (came back to head back to Perth) and about 50kms from home in Perth a passing vehicle flicked up a stone on the bitumen and cracked my screen the whole width!!!

Super glue is ok, but the best thing is clear nail polish. Right at the end of the crack (can I say that?🤔) or just on the chip. Inside and out. Dry’s a bit clearer and super strong

So glad you did some our favourite spots. We love Karumba and the sunset there. Sadly I have not had your luck at catching fish on two visits. Savanah Way from Normanton to Leichhardt Falls is amazing although no water when we were there but the croc still had a pool to hang out in. Looking forward to the next instalment. Travel safe. Oh BTW you are very fortunate to have only lost one windscreen. We have lost 3 in two years. Sucks.

I did this trip backwards from Karumba to Cairns. Best drive I did on a motor cycle even with rain from Atherton tablelands to Cairns. Beautiful country.
You’ve really captured the raw beauty of the gulf country. Leichhardt River Falls is definitely on the bucket list. Heading that way slowly (currently at Chinchilla). You guys are an inspiration!

If you get a cracked windscreen and are in the middle nowhere, take a 1 or 1.5 mm diamond tipped drill bit and make a hole at the end of the crack(s). Don't use superglue but rather the Loctite version (it's not cheap for a 50ml bottle but does a better job). I'm not a dentist, but I know that a dentist will go to the end of a cracked tooth and do the same thing, to stop the crack spreading. If you have a cracked windscreen, park your vehicle facing North in Summer and South in Winter - leaving the front windows slightly open, a bit, to dissipate the cabin heat. Job done.

Blue Salmon great FRESH straight from the sea guys. That Charter should have put you on way better Fish like massive Grunter and Threadfin Salmon that are way way way better eating after seeing where that charter was located. It should have been out further on the edge of where the dirty water met the clean water. I know because I lived there. Anyway all good your happy with that feed. But a disgrace to the charter not putting you guys and the rest of the punters on quality fish.
They must have been flying past to flick a stone wish folks out there slow down seeing a vehicle on side off a dirt gravel rd , show some respect and curiosity its easy to do and its free gee wiz

Absolutely loved Leichhardt Falls we went from Hells Gate to Boorooloola NT that took us 2 day rough as road towing a Cub Camper still unforgettable.

In 2017, when we went to Leichardt Falls there was no water flowing at all. Good to see that you had better conditions when you were there.

fits with 80-100mm either side, must be a different box! both vans are going well! no issues we have been doing some really hectic roads!
