Corning Beef Brisket ~ Making The Brine

  • In this video I will be sharing the recipe of how I make the brine and the process of corning beef brisket. In a follow up video I will be smoking the corned beef brisket to serve with the cabbage & root vegetables to serve on Saint Patrick's Day.

    Brine Recipe Ingredients:
    1 Gallon Water
    1 Cup Canning & Pickling Salt
    1 & 1/2 to 2 Teaspoons Pink Curing Salt (Optional)
    1/2 Cup Pickling Spice
    1 to 2 Cinnamon Sticks
    2 Cups Brown Sugar
    1/4 Cup Minced Garlic

    A two week brine! I know I have never brined anything that long before. But that brine looked awesome. Made like I would make a brine. Of course any brine with Guinness is going to be awesome! 😉 Can’t wait to see the end result. You will easily sell out again! Glad Tali girl got her treat! 🤗

    Have you thought about using molasses? This is a great brine recipe. I copied it for the next time I make a brine.

      Actually Reginald I have used molasses for brining Salmon and Spanish Mackerel to smoke. I sometimes use dark brown sugar which lends a bit more flavor similar to molasses. Let me know how it turns out for you? Thank you & Thanks for watching!
