R211S testing with doors opening towards the platform + announcements! Exclusive look | MTA SIR

The Kawasaki R211S pilot set (100-104) was found doing some burn-in testing on a particular Saturday on the MTA Staten Island Railway. I was caught off guard when I realized that the doors of the last car were opening to the platform side, which usually does not happen during burn-in testing. The R211S will define the future of the SIR's fleet and will become the very first NTT (New Technology Train) to enter service on the SIR soon. Enjoy the new announcements!
