@@loryanlostourstory-yira9070 I'll definitely be putting out some future Riddim content in the future, I actually have a whole future Riddim preset pack I've been working on for Vital 😉
13:21 "It's a sustain. We want those little fragments trailing off at the end." I think it's a bit silly to add compression to a sound with no dynamics (which I almost always see in EDM tutorials) but increased release time does not add sustain, counterintuitively. The release is how long it takes the compressor to "let go". The more release time there is, the longer it will take for the compressor to stop lowering the volume of the signal. You actually get the most sustain with the smallest amount of release time as every time the sound gets quieter, the compressor would be quickly returning the sound to normal volume. It might be difficult to explain over text but lmk if you would like a video on this. Also there's a chance that the coders of Vital inverted the Release time control to make it more intuitive but I doubt it.
The point of me adding the multiband compression was to brighten and further sculpt the sound as well as to bring out some of the feedback/space that the chorus created
lmao, nope its not, BUT, Vital is just as dope if not better than Serum and its FREE. Beyond that, they work pretty similarily, so you could probably follow this in serum and end up with a similar sound
Most likely! They both have the same or similar effects, filters, and warp modes, theres a few key differences, but you should get a pretty similar result!
WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO LEARN HOW TO MAKE NEXT! ALSO FEEL FREE TO ASK ME ANY QUESTIONS :)
Papa Khan or Nuu$hi type, kinda interested to make music like them :D

Wait rewatch that timestamp you tagged, I was decreasing the release time, not increasing it. I understand how compression works.
