Why they should forget? If it was an Islamic scholar, you will say alakatakiti. With what is happening these last months,I notice there are plenty alakatakiti within onisheshe.

This is not what any Yoruba cultural matter can solve, this is a crime against the state, and the law should take its full cause. What we are looking at here is about Negligence, more so this is Criminal Negligence, where people who are supposed to be in charge of the safety of others, failed to carry out their obligations, thereby resulting to bodily harm/injury or even death as we have here, this is tantamount to culpable homicide, believe me, it is only the court that will decide if it is a Murder or Manslaughter case, the facts of the case will determine, whichever that they will be charged with wont be an easy deal still. Mr Laji, you are just being sentimental here, of course, i understand that our country is totally 'anything goes', on a good day, you should not say anything on what you lack the legal appreciation of, it is not about history here. If such a thing happens in a normal setting, even the Governor who allowed such program without ensuring proper safety guidelines and protocol i would by now have been impeached and facing the music with the other organisers. Lives mean nothing in our clime. This is not about Yoruba culture, exercise caution on how you are trying to trivialise on this. It is totally absurd to say the least.
The truth is you cannot say all those Oriyomi also backed their trials were also guilty of the offence for which they were charged. Inasmuch as those whose trials he backed were taken to court for the court to decide their culpability, why is it now an issue for him to also face trial for the court to also determine his own culpability too in this case? Let the law take its course like it has also done in the cases that Oriyomi has pushed against others. That is the fair thing. If the court finds him not guilty, so be it. We shouldn't base opinion on sentiments.
This issue is just stampede.. i beleve Govt will be fair.... its not intentional... during the NYSC emplyment stampede in Abuja who was held resposible...also during the custom rice sale in lagos.. many people died..was anybody held ? I think Govt should tread this cautiously... i quite sympathise with parents too
As far as I'm concerned, the parents who took their children to the an 8am event at 5 am should be held responsible for their kids' death for trespassing and child endangerment, not the organizers. If poverty, illiteracy, unruly, primitive behavior took away their senses, they should be held responsible.
