YES!! I have those. I have 2 6qt IPs and I love your videos. I tried the your recipe today and hubby and I really loved our egg salad sandwich. Thanks for getting back to me. :)
If I'm trying for fast and easy, I would've cut the egg up, and mixed it, all in the container the eggs were cooked in. In fact, I'm going to go make egg salad your way, right now! Thank you so much; I probably wouldn't have ever thought of this on my own :)
Great Idea! You've saved me a lot of time in the future. I skip chopping, just throw the mayo and eggs in whole and use a potato masher until I get the consistency I want.
Yes, I use a potato masher also, it works great! I used to use a pastry blender (not strong enough and broke), a fork or knife. The potato masher is sturdy and is regularly used, too.
Yeah we do that here too. Potato masher fork or spoon or whatever. It’s so funny this video. It’s bloody egg salad just dump your desired ingredients and mash it lol.
I'm 65 years old and have been eating egg salad as long as I can remember. Now that I am retired and doing more of the cooking, sites like this are of real interest to me. Which brings me to the point of my comment. In all my years I have never had egg salad with bacon bits. Green onion, celery, even chopped peppers but not bacon. Spam would be tasty and the next time I do ribs I am saving one to chop up and add to a batch of egg salad. I can't wait!!!!
In 65 yrs, have you ever needed a pressure cooker to cook an egg? I haven't. Pressure cookers cook @ temperatures above 212F. That turns egg whites into Plastic. This egg cooking technique is stupid.
@@ebenwaterman5858 It might have been useful if you had actually read my comment. My point was regarding the addition of the bacon bits not the pressure cooking. I will try the Instant Pot if only because I truly hate peeling hard boiled eggs.

I've learned so much from your fine videos. So many great recipes and techniques! I have the large Instant Pot, but for your egg method I use the 3 quart version, same amount of water, but increased time (9 or 10 minutes, depending on the number of eggs). Sometimes I just use two or three yolks and 6 whites. A paper towel is great for absorbing the water from the silicon cover before removing the container, and a cheese slicer with a single wire easily cuts the eggs in various directions. Thanks again!
Ok so ive done this twice since i watched this video and I'm hooked😎 thank you! whole grain mustard like miele and pickled celery with a sprinkle of dill is my fav for egg salad😋
A couple shakes of celery seed and maybe some fresh dill and parsely, if it's popped up in the garden or greenhouse. But normally egg salad is what i make from the eggs that didnt peel pretty. Make deviled or pickled eggs and the uglies get chopped into egg salad. Here's something i have found, farm fresh eggs need to just be left on the counter for about 2 weeks and they will peel easier. I used to get about 40 dozen eggs a week. Plus about 2 dozen bantam eggs (make great picklers). So i had room to experiment a bit and still had plenty for the farmers market. Thanks so much, Denise! I will try to do more with the Joule.
Needs some paprika and some whole grain mustard.
Thanks for this video. You two are so fun! My Scottish friend taught me to add a little minced celery and Champaign Mustard (maybe 1/2 teaspoon for this amount of eggs). The bacon idea sounds yummy. I did already order the silicon trivet, but haven't used it yet.
I think that silicone top you put on blocked the steam from reaching the top of the eggs. If you put a chopstick or two on before that silicone top, it would probably only take 5 minutes.
I dont like onions in my egg salad.but i use miracle whip and my mom used black olives in egg salad i also like honey mustard in me .its so good..
Just use a fork in the square dish and press the eggs with the back of a fork. Mix and stir egg salad in cooking dish. Never seen eggs cut into smal cubes before. I like pickles too!
