Today we are creating mostly Monogram cards with the new All Occasion Alphabet BetterPress Collection from Spellbinders. Of course I had to get the "M" and the "S" for my name so I wanted to ink those up and I have a couple of different ways on how you can use these to create different types of cards. The sky is really the limit with these though and don't forget they can be glimmered too so WOW the possibilities are truly endless!

I absolutely LOVE the idea of the gem centres - where are they from? They are smaller than any I have! I also had a similar idea of a die cut flower to mimic the florals in the plate (I am SO glad they used the same style floral on every letter...) I found 2 Spellbinders die flowers that I used in an upcoming video - when I edit it, I will take note of the sets and let you know (I got the centres from another set... and I also tried to use a sequin) I don't know if it's a closer match than what you found, but they were the closest I had in my stash. I also don't think it has to be the exact style - love your final cards, ESPECIALLY the two with the gem centres. Just takes it a couple notches higher! Sorry for the length - but I also know how you feel about the wink of Stella - you can never get the shine in a video like it is in person... it's almost frustrating 🤣 This is the first video of yours I have seen, I love your channel already. I am with you. The Black one is my favorite but I love them all. I love how you added the flowers the Ombre one and love what you are doing with your daughters card. Gosh I just love love love those letters. Questions for you though, I made some note cards from the LDRS initials already but I have a question. Do you think if you are giving them as a gift to someone do you think you should use their first name initial or their last name initial. I always thought the last name but I am not so sure right now....
Hi sweet friend, Thank you for your kind comments. There are so many ideas and options for these letters. I have not gotten the LDRS ones yet but I am thinking that maybe the SB ones could go as the large Monogram letter and the LDRS ones go on the sides for a full monogram?? I am going to see about ordering them possibly. I wasn't sure about the answer to your questions so I looked it up and ra across this website which had a vague answer but I think it allows both but usually the last initial like you are saying since usually monograms are for more formal things. I just used water to clean up mine but I don’t have better press ink I wonder if you tried the stazon ink remover if you could get it off? I saw one lady on another channel put just plastic over her chase and top plate to protect it from the ink and also she just unstuck her sticky mat a bit on her jeans before using it to hold her better press paper so it didn’t tear when she removed it have you tried that trick?
The stazon ink works about the same as the ink is solvent/oil based like the BP ink is. I have seen the acetate cover and that is probably safe IF you remove the same thickness from the shims underneith the magnetic plate. :-)
