Once again thank you so much for tuning in today!! And thank you so much for your support on my channel it means a lot to me!
Take care and God bless! And I'll catch you on my next video!!
I'm glad to see it only took 1 bottle to do that whole body. I've been buying nail polish for the last couple years and have quite a collection of great colors. Great video. Thanks for posting.
I've always wondered about this. There are some really neat colorshift/chameleon nail polish colors that would look cool on a car, and they're so much cheaper than model paints.
You can get the BEST colors from any nail polish line, great vid!!!!
The only thing, in my opinion, to be aware of, is to make sure what finished color you want, the primer color you may use for the nail polish will make a huge difference, but is great to use them, you have tons of options, great vid
For the eye candy pop there is a plethora of fingernail polish out there - anywhere from one dollar up to 13 depending . When I'm at family dollar I look for these and the most awesome blue is color craze 424 (one dollar) being a light metallic pigment you need a larger size needle and nozzle - I only use Tamiya 400 Leveling Thinner and cut the fingernail polish 1 to 1 .
Awesome tutorial Dylan. Great spray work as usual man.
Great airbrushing work! Build on brother!
Your so wholesome it’s amazing!
Awesome! That is the first time I seen nail polish sprayed.. I heard about it.. never seen it.. thanks for sharing!! Fred Henry said you’re doing a group build.. so I thought I would check your channel out!! Awesome stuff buddy!! Got you subbed!! Model On! ✌️
Awesome thank you so much I appreciate it!! Yeah the pro Street G,B is the one I'm hosting!
There's a rainbow of colors on nail polish
Good video Dylan, nice to know.
thanks for the info. i didnt know you could do this. AWESOME!!!
What kind of primer did you use? I just want to make sure I use the correct combo to prevent peeling and other mishaps.
Beings how he thinned it with lacquer, Im assuming he used a lacquer primer.
dou thats just silly sept ive thought of before didnt have the guts to try hate failure pet peeve i guess thanks for sharing might try on a diecast first great vid loved it
Thanks for the video
Do you use lacquer primer???
Tamiya
Which nozzle size and pressure best for this paint. I just started few months ago. I found that nail polish is hard to work with. Even with lacquer thinner, it remain very sticky.
The airbrush internet video had a 0.3mm needle size. Yeah, no polish is definitely a bit more challenging, but once you get the hang of it, you might be painting models with nail polish, not stop.
Dylan, just did my Chevelle and followed the directions. Was very thin and came out very dry. Any ideas? Thanks!
Use less thinner if it was to thin. Turn air pressure down if it came out dry.
As you were spraying the car with red, you said if it's runny it's too thin - but if you've already dumped your full bottle of nail polish into the thinner, and you don't have another bottle, you have no more to polish thicken it up and obviously you can't take the thinner back out. You've potentially wasted a bottle of polish and thinner. Or are you saying you should have a spare bottle of any colours you will be using just in case you make it up too thin ? - there must be a better way.
Well, either buy 2 bottles just in case. Or, use slightly less than 1:1 ratio. Or, turn the air pressure down and hold the airbrush further away from the model so it doesn't run. You need to be able to adjust to things because nothing is exactly perfect. Plan thjngs out and dont make mistakes. Easier said than done though.
Awesome video.
Question....what do you clean the airbrush with after you use nail polish?
My guess is that because he thinned the nail polish with lacquer thinner, you more than likely need to use lacquer thinner to clean the airbrush. It's a safe guess. Lacquer thinner is the only thing i use to clean my brush anyway.
@@BlueGillage I have since posting this, tried using some nail polish and I ended up using acetone to clean my brush when I was finished with it. The Nail polish was quite different to airbrush but ended up pretty good and the acetone cleaned it all up no problem.
