Great game. I have the first edition and have never won! Still have a blast playing. Btw Edinburgh is not Edinboro but pronounced Edinbru as in the u sound (not u the letter).
This looks so good! I wasn’t interested until you unboxed it a few weeks ago. My wallet thinks I’m crazy …the big issue will be my lack of dice rolling capabilities … I also really think the historical commentary on the cards are genius!
You can actually mail away for an easy to follow and fairly cost effective dice rolling improvement program. Its called new dice until you find the one lucky one out there. HAHAHAHAHAHA
It is a great game. I am getting back into war gamming and of the few I have purchased so far this one was the first that I really loved. But it is really hard to win.
Hi Grant. I really appreciate these playthroughs you do. Great learning tool. Would love to see you do 2 player playthroughs with Alexander. Any chance? Michael
Hey, great video. Should not You resolve cavalries clashes as a first ones in the tactical battle (they are marked as first and second - I did not play this game, but I assume this simulates outflanking) ?
It's a really fun game by the designer, but I question Worthington's proofreading as there many silly obvious errors in this edition, which I have been summarizing on the game's BGG page. None are gamebreaking or really affect gameplay if you have common sense. Just really sloppy.
Thanks for the great playthrough, you inspired me to get this off my shelf of shame and have a play. A really enjoyable game. Thanks again.
I have the original by VPG, great game! Excellent play through.👍🇬🇧
Hadn't been interested in this until watching this. Now towards the top of my wish list. Excellent play through.
A really terrific design by John Welch, many thanks for this look Grant. Really enjoyed the narrative, SOS videos are always welcome! :)

@@grantkleinhenz6789 Ha Ha Ha! I love it! I’ve contemplated getting my wife to roll for me, but the only game I can get her to play is freaking Crib!
I feel your pain.

Very challenging.
Great game. Love the battle parts.
In battle the infantry in each section are added together plus die roll and compared, not 1 v 1.
I will revisit that rule. Must have missed that. Thanks.

I have the 1st edition, trying to get those counters up to A and B is so difficult.
