Thank you so much for going over all this! I had so much fun playing and adjusting the fire water monsters. I loved Relm but outside piling a bunch of water monster I was still learning things. This one looks fun too, but I’m nowhere the pilot you are so it’ll be fun to figure out how to play different things. Would like your opinion on something. We’ve been putting together demo decks and held events to bring in new folks. I’m curious your take on more easier to pilot archetypes that may not crush meta but at least make them feel competitive. When I started the FF15 starter and FF13 starter were good with tweaks, but with your experience I’m curious what more is out there in your eyes. Thanks again!
Torrey here! To be honest, I haven't given much thought to building beginner decks. I spend most of my time working on monster decks that I wouldn't recommend to newer players. I still think the Cat XIII and Cat XV starters are decent places to start as a newer player. Both decks have decently powerful yet linear lines.
@@dWatchGuard All good, was curious if something came to mind as that “next level” to build for. I started in February and had my own journey. Big cat6 fan so when I saw how much you like Relm I was hooked. Thanks again.
Slightly disappointed on the lack of true Torrey Math TM but a fantastic watch. What do you think was the reason that Magissa in particular is so underplayed at the moment, especially considering the most well known pilot chose to play Knights with his fire cards in the tourney instead? Was there a matchup you were afraid of with the deck and avoided or is it just a deck that slipped under the radar?
@@GhoulSRL I think it is a combination of the deck being difficult to pilot, people overestimating the amount of water in the room, and people underestimating the decks potetial into earth. If you think everyone is bringing earth and water, and you think magissa loses to both decks, i can understand why more people didn't bring her.
This is how I knew it was time to get married; my wife told someone “He’s a 7CP play for 5 innately but sometimes he’s a 9CP play and the tempo swing is enough to win the game.”
