11:10 Well Blizzard lied, per usual. They kinda doubled the amount of drops per boss (which answers the doubling of players in the raid) but they did not compensate the fact that you can only raid once a week now. In order to compensate for not being able to do the raid twice per week (or every 3rd day) you need to have doubled the drops yet again. In other words, in order for a raider to achieve the same amount of loot as we did in Gnomeregan and Blackfathom Depths, the loot would have needed to be quadrupled, but they doubled it. The current state makes us receive 50% less loot per week (for those of us who actually raided twice a week that is).
You are correct and i would add that in order for drops to stay the same you would need to allow the same item dropping twice from the boss
All they needed to do was keep 10 man raids, double the loot drops and that was it. Phases arent supposed to last for long so why limit the opportunity for players to get drops?
You’re actually the best, thanks for keeping us up to date!
Bro, I love your warlock vids. Especially the PvP clips you throw in and explain what you do and why you do it. I learn so much from them and it's a big help for me while leveling my own warlock. Thanks a lot and please keep 'em coming!
Another fun one! Really enjoy your thoughts and the PvP clips, cheers.
Thank you for all the super dope videos, can I recommend/ask if you can start adding an updated link of your full build in the Description of the vids. Including Gear/Talents/Enchants/Runes. Would be super helpful :D

my current build
Playing as a SL lock, I've encountered challenges with the intense burst damage in pvp often overwhelming my defensive capabilities and healing potential. Rogues, in particular, can quickly burst me down during a Kidney Shot, while Shamans' burst damage can outpace my healing abilities, leaving me vulnerable in those encounters.
Things should change this weekend with Blizzard reducing damge in half. Still, some classes like Rogue and Spriest will need adjustments.
Nice video mate!.Wanted to point out that as long as blizzard keeps balancing the classes according to warcraft logs i think raid will be the main content of the game even if you dont even do it
What do you think of the invocation rune? I find it fun against other players who have their rank 7 PvP set. Having the triple proc with 48% crit chance (demonic grace) at 6s point nets a pretty big burst!
Hey great vids! Do you prefer Felguard or is UA solid with the new buff?
Both are good
Clean language, good info you got a follow. Keep up the good work.
Hey man, great vid. may i ask where you got the info that they nerfed the darkmoon torment card? The only thing i am able to find is that they changed it so only procs from melee?
Yeah so unfortunately they did not communicate this. I have the darkmoon card torment and even made a video how op it was. You can see it on my channel. Unfortunately now however it does not proc from dot applications anymore. Which makes it bad for us. The only spells it will proc off are haunt and wand/melee attack. I tested all this thoroughly
Thank you for the reply. Pretty sad because i was looking forward to getting this. Good thing i didn't, saved me alot of gold : /.@@goldbowser
Hey man what trinkets do you recommend instead of the nightmare card deck? Thinking about going back to rune of perfection since the resists keep happening.
Good idea!
Hey Listery, is there a way that you can confirm that UA benefits from the affliction resist talent "Suppression". It seems that UA resists a lot more than corruption and agony while spec'd 3/5 suppression in pvp.
Havent tested it, but i might
Our opinions differ alot on the topics in this video since I am extremely casual, playing around 1-4 hours per week. However, I would like to say that I have enjoyed your content since I started a warlock. You are a great source of information for warlock related topics and your tips make my pvp seem like I play 40 hours a week. I look forward to watching your stuff through P4 and maybe even beyond
Thank you, appreciate your support, means a lot
Im still pretty new to wow and idk if i missed it in the vid but whats your talent tree breakdown?

Sod is not for you buddy, this is for casual dad deep pockets chill wow fan boy wanna be. Mobs have too much HP ST is too hard for casuals. Your opinion is valid for retail not for what Sod has set out to do. Needs class balance and pve nerfe not boost. Rep needs to be made easier not just for lifeless no lifers. Emerald was a grind and a half.
i mean compare this emerald wardens rep grind to argent dawn. or to zandalari. or to winterspring sabre faction.
emerald wardens rep is a joke in comparison
i wouldnt say that SOD only for Casuals andy with 25 kids and 39 works. A lot of those dad's played Classic vanilla and continue playing era. This is not only about time investment. You need to organize and manage ur efforts to reach you'r goal.
have hard time on winning Sp. any tips?
What nameplates are you using for the enemies?
heyo man ! Can you share your WA tracking haunt / drain life Cd and the other one tracking the debuff you've put on your target ? would be lovely !
Haunt/drain life cd i made myself using addon tellmewhen. Debuff on target if you are talking nameplates thats threatplates
Do you play the same spec while raiding or do you have destro as off-spec?
Soul link is not good for raiding. Go Destro or Nightfall Ruin for Raids :)
Hey dude, any thoughts on the recent dampening test?
I dont like it so far
@@goldbowser this is my experience as well. Not sure how it feels against pallies, but over on alliance shamans feel oppressive as hell now and one or two healers can keep an entire by alive now.
@@michaeldolin6688 as usual blizz measure was way too extreme. They should reverse it by half.
If you played ally, you would see how op shaman are, it's insane imo
They are strong. I duel them regularly. You need to get them into fear. Do this by utilizing felguard charge stun and death coil. Destroy tremor and chain fear. They cant ground or interupt while in fear. Play it safe. If u cant get them in fear you can/will lose and die.
I will try to record some duels next days and give you 1v1 class guides.
@@goldbowser that would be helpful! Every other class I open world as lock its not to bad but shaman man haha that damn fear totem
@@goldbowser That would be great! You can also make PvP tier list with every class.
Can I get link to talents please?

the tornement or something
A great video and you hit the nail on the head.
Phase 3 is stale. If you didn't manage to play at phase 3 launch and no life incursions to accrue thousands of gold youre shit out of luck now in both being able to group and make decent gold to keep up with inflation.
The world is pretty much completely dead and empty. Everyone and their dog is either doing incursions till their eyes bleed or Wild Offering runs. Lowbies (sub lvl 40 have no chance of doing anything in dungeons)
There is a complete lack of content in Phase 3.
Old raids needed to scale up, to give us things to do besides waiting a week to attempt a time waste raid.
It's unfathomable that Gnomer loot is considered bis for certain classes and ST drops are downgrades...how is this a thing?
PVP is still rotten. Class balance is complete trash.
We have things locked behind rep grind, some of them from classic, but no real meaningful way besides regrinding that rep to attain them. SoD is seasonal, things should be slightly easier seeing as we're on limited time.
I completely agree with your take on rep grinding, I like to explore do world and do quests to level so the hours I spend doing that give me some return, but mindlessly farming rep doing the same activity over and over again for hours to get a upgrade is horrible, feels horrible
I've discovered that there are still active zerg groups tackling the emerald reputation grind, and the gold rewards remain quite decent. Personally, I haven't struggled with gold shortages during this phase. Assessing the activity in lower-level zones is tricky; while I've seen players leveling up in these zones while grinding tailor materials, it's anecdotal evidence, lacking concrete proof of whether these zones are truly deserted or not.
While running WO can be tedious, the chance for pre-BiS (BiS) items in both ZF and Mara makes these runs feel worthwhile, even if you don't get the specific drop you're hoping for. I agree that something needs addressing regarding older raids. Despite their relevance due to some items still being BiS, the disappointment of getting lower-tier gear in ST can diminish the excitement of gearing up.
Premades are still active, not exclusive to phase 3, but the burst-centric pvp is a significant drawback for me. PvP often becomes a race to unleash your burst damage first, with limited counterplay against certain classes, detracting from the pvp experience.
The reputation grind remains a pain, particularly from revered to exalted in wsg due to premades dominating the scene. Increasing reputation gains for losses might encourage more balanced matches, but the risk of teams intentionally throwing games to exploit this system is a concern.
It's interesting how they've streamlined leveling to facilitate reaching end-game content, yet the reputation grind remains unchanged, which feels inconsistent given the time constraints in SOD. Your suggestion of easing the rep grind is a good idea.
i've notice your texture flickering and i thought it was just me or my PC good thing i see it happening to you as well. wtf is up with wow?
I would like some type of resilience gear. I still have nightmares about shamans
Would you be able to share your WA?
Which one? The button icons over my unitframe? I did them myself with an addon called tellmewhen
@@goldbowser for your dots. I'll check that addon out. Thanks.
@@jordanw6597 above enemy nameplates? Thats an addon called threatplates
don't you need to apply haunt first??
No. Only before drain life. Also haunt breaks fear easily
@@goldbowser Man if any one is gonna know it's you. But prior all my research said to haunt first so dots get the haunt buff. Not after. I could be wrong but I thought snutz also applied haunt first. I think I've confused myself lol cheers.
@@7xXSE7ENXx7 you are right, haunt should be first so it boosts the other dots dmg. Also apply it first to make sure u get that heal asap.
So you are right its good to be applied first. But as I wrote, sometimes when you open with getting opponents into fear, then haunt would just break that effect.
@@goldbowser Right yeah that makes sense, appreciate it mate.
I would really like to see you do a raid aswell one day as fun as all this world pvp is =)
Haha , okay i will consider to record next raid :)
ran ST twice now and got 2 nightmare seeds and no other loot -_-;
sorry to hear, guess we will unfortunately experience more runs like that during p3.
Please mute discord when you're recording for your videos. I hear them in each one and every time I get trolled into checking my discord.
Same haha
:D yea ill try to think of that, sorry
i'm personally not having fun in pvp at all, the grind to rank 7 was just fucking awful, I think my overall win rate in BG's was something like 25% as alliance which is just embarrassing and not fun, and a vast majority (like 80%+) of the games wern't even close or "good games", but just pure stomping where one side just quits, honestly would have been better off just AFKing and not even playing the game.
Open world pvp is only fun if youre the one doing the ganking, but if youre the victim it feels fucking awful. I spent 40+ minutes trying to zone into mara to solo farm my BOED the other night and a group of 20+ horde were just camping the scepter room, not doing runs or anything, literally just camping alliance so they couldnt get in, and it was late enough at night where there was literally only 1 layer, i ended up just logging off and again was better off just not playing the game. (there's starting to be a theme here where not playing the game is better than playing the game)
There's way too much damage still and way too many instant cast CC's with basically no counter play to them, including 41 yard range dots that can stun, dots that are 5x your health pool that can stun, essentially permanent traps that make you unable to move your character, 5 second silence, 20 different fucking pets, let alone players having no basic understanding of strategy or how their class functions in a battleground setting.
I know it's "casual classic wow" and a "weird level bracket" and im not expecting the game to be perfectly balanced but the classes that are S tier in pvp right now are just so far ahead of every other class in the game that isnt S tier that it just makes the entire pvp experience not fun at all.
Also the emerald warden ring is fucking awful, low % proc, basically unusable garbage RNG slot machine dog shit.
As far as casters complaining in PVE, I think they have every right to. Again I don't expect the game to be perfectly balanced, but the gap is something like 30-40% lower than melee classes, which is flat out egregious. It's the sizes of the gaps in both pve and pvp that is scary, to be off by a such huge margins really does feel like we're beta testing.
sorry to hear you arent having fun, i dont want to argue your points except on roar of the sacrifice. the uptime and proc chance is insanely good.
regarding your last paragraph: why does it matter that casters do less damage than melee classes?
It's not a matter of just doing "less damage", but rather 30%-40% less damage. That is a wide enough gap that it makes me personally feel like I am not offering as much to the raid as I could be, when I could just play a class that does 30% more damage with basically no repercussion. The only reason to bring casters at all is because they can fulfill some raid mechanic the melee cant do, heal/dispel, or offer the melee a buff at this point. I play 5 different chars and lead 2 guilds and some of my casters are felling pretty discouraged because they do such little damage compared to everyone else and they complain about spending half their time dispelling and moving, and essentially not dpsing, which they picked a dps class and want to dps.@@goldbowser
As far as the emerald warden exalted ring, It's probably at its best on a warlock or priest snap shotting dots, you're right, but it is a lowly 5% proc chance. It's definitely not something you can reliably guarentee to proc and fights are so short id rather just take flat damage. If it was something like darkmoon card greatness in wotlk for example with 35% proc chance and 45s internal cooldown id be using it for sure, but with just a 5% proc chance it's basically unusable, once in every 20 casts is just so bad, in pvp and pve. Some fights are so short in ST you're not even getting 20 casts off lol @@goldbowser
@@koopk1 thanks for your explanation. I get it
Fully agree with you ! After second ST id i stop raiding . Not iteresting at all. Everything what u did say actually so true ! Thanks for sharing you'r thoughts :) I'm not alone .
It's too fast in general. PvP is twitchy. Bang, bang, bang, bang. Back when I was a kid lol... I remember original WOW. PvP for the main was a 60 second ordeal. I remember long attrition based combat that was tactical- not over in seconds. That's actually one of the reasons I quit wow years ago. It got too twitchy.
You make a valid point, i agree!
hah like 1v1 roug and warrior :D it takes like 1 or 2 min for roug to dmg control and refresh the combat and bam warior with just 3 clean slashes in the end kill the roug :D
It has its faults, but over all i think they did a good job. its a long beta test, you cant sattisfy every one who plays the game. Im having a blast and im a classic andy, i stoped playing after OG wrath and have spent to much time on private servers, Cant w8 for lvl 60 !
How do you deal with this anoying paladin that insta bubble and legit oneshot you every time whe you cant cast on them
Check my videos, i own all paladins. Movement and positioning is key. Run away when they bubble
As someone who also plays an insane amount of SOD one of the biggest complaints I have that is adjacent to the theme you talk about in this video is the lack of things to do at each level cap per phase. On my main I am able to be in a spot where I can afk and not worry about anything within a week-week and a half of the phase launch. After that week and a half or so I find myself once again farming gold, killing players in the open world or leveling an alt because I have farmed pre-bis (which consists of mostly raid loot from the phase prior). I wish there was a grind that was long and grueling but had rewards for time investment. Like you said, the incursion/emerald wardens rep is farmable within 10 hours. I remain hoping for something that takes 100 hours to farm that isn't exploitable with a group and draws players into the open world. Make the reward for that rep lucrative for gold, give cosmetics, or maybe a unique effect tied to professions so it isn't thought to be associated with BiS lists or raid required gear.
I am hopeful that at level 60 the increased number of available raids such as the new phase raid, MC, Ony, and potentially more if they start us already in phase 6 of original wow, will sate my need for time investment outlets. Again, I acknowledge this desire is from the perspective of a sweaty, time unrestricted player, but I want it regardless for the game I love. Thanks for the thought provoking video.
Thanks for your comment, couldnt have written it any better myself. Feels good to see like minded people like you.
I love this video, I have been against the speed leveling from the beginning,.. there NEVER should have been XP boosting in SoD whatsoever. That way when you make a level it actually MEANS something and you extend your experience and fun from 1 week to 4 weeks. Instead of instantly making the level cap each level feels good. SoD has felt WAY too fast and WAY too easy,..
Hey there, appreciate your comment. Great feeling to see someone like minded :)
I would say that as well if it weren't coming in phases.
all of these "guides" and not a talent time stamp

Fun died with phase 3, i went back to classic cause of that.
When i saw the first playes where 50 before i could even log in cause of the servers.
Same with eco , i made thousands with potions before phase 3 with tradeing, main fun for me.
They really should do something for the pvp players. A grind like it used to be... i'm on the edge to quit. It's a total joke
Would be awesome to get real pvp content
Your take on gold is skewed. If you missed all the ridiculous first moments of incursions, and if you’re not an economist, or even a real gold savvy player, this isn’t a reality.
You can do incursions today and make 30-50g an hour just by doing quests. Check my incursion guide video. Also you can do mara princess runs and disenchant the blue dagger for shards. This will yield 50g an hour.
There are several more ways to farm gold like this.
Put in the work and you will be rewarded.
@@goldbowser the economy is in shambles. HAving to double the effort just to keep up with this garbage inflation thanks to lazy Devs isn't fun or really productive in any way.
@@thevlaka if you are farming items or mats they will typically be inflated as well and yield more gold from auction house
Didn't people make 700+ gold doing incursions in just a few hours on first day of patch?
@@koffin522 i think yes but it wasnt me. I started when those times were over and quests rewarded 50rep in feralas.
Can we have some update of talent? Cus Life tap works on pet as well now.
No, I don't agree with your opinion on "balance". The difference is not small. It is huge and it is not OK. I am a dps class and don't want to be invited to raids for the utility as you say. Nor to support other casters only. Maybe it is ok with you since your main focus is PvP where warlocks are borderline OP, especially the build you are playing. But for me that enjoy PvE as, well, no.
Even in pve, to me its much more important to play 97+ logs, i.e. being among the best of my class, than how i perform relative to warriors. If the raid was actually challenging I would view this differently
@@goldbowser the difficulty doesn't matter that much. just knowing that, when you join a raid, you are less valuable than someone who picked a different class, is enough to cause people to become disinterested in playing. A small difference is fine, balance levels come and go, but when warriors are doing 2x the dps of casters with their cooldowns up, and 50% more when not, the caster might as well stay in town and let the real classes raid. when i raid i try to bring my best performance, and if my best performance is half of someone else's it reflects poorly on me. it's not entirely my fault since I don't have control over balance, but I do have control over continuing to play a class that can't keep up. people like to feel like they are contributing and pulling their weight, giving value to their raid slot.
currently a minimum 99 warlock is ~935 dps on hakkar. 935 dps on a warrior gets you an 88 parse. in my book 88 is solid but needs improvement, but for the warlock, they are basically pushing the maximum possible. just in case you were curious, it looks like a minimum 99 for warrior on the same fight is ~1500 dps, greater than 50% more for the same level of class mastery just for choosing differently on the character creation screen.
@@Maxvla thanks for your explanation. I get your point.
