  • What do trees talk about? In the Douglas fir forests of Canada, see how trees “talk” to each other by forming underground symbiotic relationships-called mycorrhizae-with fungi to relay stress signals and share resources with one another.

      Your Grandfather is correct, not talk per se using vocal cords, but more of a vibrational connection between all things.
      It is verbalized in our prayers by the statement "all my relations" if you have heard before that is what is meant. Even the inanimate objects are made of "light . Don't believe me? Ask or research the studies being analyzed through and around the supecolliders. From what I have read, seen, and heard, (Hot Docs) from them about their documents regarding the studies. They have come to the conclusion that many things broken down to the subatomic levels are indeed made of light. Interesting topics to me, is it true? Read the research papers, watch the high-speed video recordings of the actual collisions. It will be a eye opening event for those of you who have not yet seen the footage. Where does this knowledge go from there? I do not know but at the very least, think about it, if only for a brief moment.
      Please forgive my verbosity, sometimes I tend to ramble on about things that interest me.

    Through mycorrhiza, trees and fungi work together to exchange water and nutrients, nurture seedlings, and even send warning signals when under threat. What are your thoughts on this unique form of communication?

    • @DownwardsRising
      @DownwardsRising 5 років тому +3

      Makes me respect mushrooms a lot more. I used to think they were just an ineradicable lawn weed leaving "fairy circles" and doing no good, but I guess they actually feed trees nutrients, and broadcast chemical arboreal response signals.
      If the mycorrhiza are doing the connecting, then how are they "hub trees" and not "hub mycorrhiza"? Do mycorrhiza only grow as singular links connecting two trees without connecting to other mycorrhiza or other trees as shown in the diagram? If a tree dies, do the connected linking mycorrhiza die with it, as also depicted?

      Makes you think how if a continent is covered in a forest, then that continent is technically "alive" as one enormous single creature. Like how organisms are made up of many connected cells working together to live. Imagine if we could communicate from far far away just by touching a tree from different ends of the forest. A telephone but organic and not manmade

    I went to the woods I always go to and the biggest and oldest tree twards the front fell over the root structure,and hole were huge, then I noticed the other trees around it had branches but more like tentacles reaching down from them cradling the biggest fallen tree. By far one of the coolest things I've ever seen in NATURE!!!

    • @collinmc90
      @collinmc90 Рік тому +1

      Whats really cool too is that now that the big tree has fallen, it allows a ton of light back into the woods and helps all the young trees that may have been sitting dormant for decades start to grow. this is why sometimes after an area is logged, with out seeding an area it can regenerate back into an albeit less healthy forest but a forest none the less.

    there's some kind of electrochemical communication between the roots of the trees. Like the synapses between neurons. Each tree has ten to the fourth connections to the trees around it, and there are ten to the twelfth trees on Pandora...That's more connections than the human brain. You get it? It's a network - a global network. And the Na'vi can access it - they can upload and download data - memories - at sites like the one you just destroyed.

      RTStx1 I think you might have misunderstood the explanation. Speaking, aka communication, is any form of exchanging information. Just because they don't use human language doesn't mean they are not speaking to each other.

    • @SPACEMONKEY288
      @SPACEMONKEY288 5 років тому +2

      yeah there's plenty of experiments that show this, like with corn, they can hear or pick up vibrations. when a Caterpillar is eating its leaves it starts releasing a chemical that attracts bees and other insects that will protect it. and even when you play this noise from you're phone or whatever the plant will react and start releasing it also, as in it can hear the noise and recognizes the threat.
      there are other studies too were they will take 3 tree's put two bags over 2 of them and leave one exposed and spray it with harsh chemicals and the other two tree's will start sending it nutrients through the roots to try and help it.
      pines do this in the winter also they provide nutrients for the tree's that lose there leaves and when they bloom in summer and shade out the pines they return the favor and help the pines.
      plants are alot more interesting that you think.

    • @pineapplefriedrice9598
      @pineapplefriedrice9598 5 років тому +2

      mbogucki1 do vegans eat trees? U realize more plants are killed in animal ag bc of the exessive amounts of crops/feed that they must be fed+ the need of space to grow the hundreds and thousands of pounds of soy, wheat, corn, alfalfa, and oats specifically for the animals that we eat and use? This is why it is not uncommon for acres of forest to be chopped Down to make more room for the new crops. Over 75-80% of the Amazon rainforest is specifically for cattle ranching! Watch cowsparisy on Netflix or on UA-cam for free:)

      james dean the plants don’t feel pain. They are intelligent, react to stimuli, and they are aware just like your phone. Plus they have not central nervous system/brain and not nerves.
      Anyways, more plants and trees are killed in animal ag due to the huge amounts of feed that is fed to the animals+deforestation!
      Have a nice day:)
