Thanks for this episode, Jack! You brushed up my vocabulary in terms of living etc. because I had forgotten several words. My brain seems to be like a sieve.🙄 Anyway, I live in a flat too. It’s in a very nice green environment and a house would be far too expensive in my town anyway.
@@learning_being Yes, I imagine houses would be incredibly expensive! How tall are flats in your area? The flats in Seoul are often 40 floors or more, but they are much smaller in England
@@JacksEnglish Hi Jack! Unlike me, for the most Austrians status is a very important thing so they usually prefer to live in a ‘ Einfamilienhaus’ with a garden. That’s literally ‘one family house' 🏡 . The highest building in Innsbruck has approximately 20 floors, I think. There are higher ones in Vienna but not as high as in big cities like Seoul etc. Have a nice evening! 🙋🏻♀️
I spent most of my life at my parents' terraced house in Monterrey Mexico, this video has brought me some pleasant memories of my childhood, when this type of dwelling was very common. Now I happily live with my partner in a stand alone two story house, but your video has reminded me how special my life was then.
@@Hectord-se9zp Ah, I guess it's happening to most cities in the world. I have also moved to the outskirts of Seoul but even the outskirts seem like downtown!
l live in a flat 😂❤ . Thankyou so much sir for your consant efforts for the person like me who use to hesitate a lot speaking in English but now it has vanished into thin air by watching your videos 🎉🎉
I live in a small house, made out of blocks, surrounded by trees, because of the blocks and the trees, the house is always cool in summer. If I could change something in my house will be adding another bathroom, we are two people in the household. I want to make the comment of having barking dogs around the neighborhood, all our neighbors have dogs, and they are like part of their family. I don't like barking dogs, specially when I am sleeping. I would like to live close to the beach, not too close, but at least not more than one hour driving, I love listening and watching the ocean.
Hi Gladys! Thanks for sharing your ideal home. I feel the same as you about the ocean. I grew up next to the sea so I miss it a lot. By the way, by 'blocks' do you mean 'bricks'? I know different countries have different building materials so blocks may be correct!
Hi Jack! I think I live in Semi-detached house, but I think the types of houses here in Saudi Arabia is a little different from what you pointed out. As for me, I prefer to live in a house with a bigger yard because I would like to have a garden. My neighborhood hasn't trees. Thanks for bringing this topic.
Hi Layla! Yes, I think other countries have houses that are very different to the ones I presented. Anyway, I just Googled houses in Saudi Arabia and I see what you are talking about!😀
Thanks a lot. I really enjoy this one cause of the nice pictures you chose and how great you described them. I think you have a good taste in motivating your students thruogh describing things.. 🙏🌹
👏👏👏👏👏 A goooorgeous lesson ! Well done, Jack ! When I was young I lived in Midhurst for 2 years. I looked after my uncle's ponies at Cowdray Park Polo Club, and all my friends there spoke lovely English, just like you...without an accent, if you know what I mean😀😆😄Felicitaciones ! from Olivos, Buenos Aires, Argentina🇦🇷🇬🇧🇦🇷🇬🇧🇦🇷🇬🇧
Hi Jack!!! I especially like to listen your pronunciation. I am trying to immitate you, and i really want to have the same acsent as yours. But no matter how hard I do my best my speach is still soundig as Uzbek English. By the way I am 48, and I guess my tongue is not flexible for tuning.
That’s great to hear you’re working so hard! If you are having trouble with the mouth or tongue, try really exaggerating the movements when you practice. This will develop the muscles required for English. I’ll discuss this more on one of the upcoming podcast episodes!👍
