I love Middle Earth - But much of the barrel escape sequence was terrible... Bombur's silly barrel moment was just too much and the splitting of the log crossing the river looked very fake and cartoonish. Even some of the waterfalls looked really bad. I was okay with the Legolas scene here for the most part - But certainly not the one where he climbed the falling rocks in the last movie. Anyhow, The Hobbit was good overall and gets too much hate - But it needs an edit and more time spent on it - And Beorn should have killed Bolg in the third movie of which the previz exists for.
Some of the shots in this sequence were really bad, even to the untrained eye. But then the Smaug VFX was amazing. A bit in consistent in terms of quality.
❤❤ I watched again this movie yesterday and i love this scene and all around the movie!! We have tô see that the Peoples tried tô make the better to this movie. To see LEGOLAS again was amazing tô me, note : 8,0.
ça me fait rires quand je voit ce genres de making-off les pro dc comic, les pro seigneur des anneaux et marvel de dires que leur films sont fades et blindés de fond verts bah eux aussi hein ^^' tous les film a gros budgets utilises des fonds vert x) ça en devient ridicules
Sorry but Practital effect are over CGI the all scene looks unrealistic the light and shadows does not match perfectly and there is a sort of bloom/blur effect the whole scene that makes it even less realistic...

The awful CGI was one of the worst aspects of this trilogy.
Really bad film, you was must to make 100% anímated.
Shame none of them realised that the movie was absolute shite before releasing
