    I’m curious if it’s really the toes or like the ball of the foot. I’d be scared to break a toe

    You'll need to condition your toes for this, or else you'll run the risk of breaking your toes.

  • @Shahablo

    wouldn't someone be at risk for breaking their toe?

      I broke my toe once in sparring throwing a teep. Partner blocked with sharpest point of ellbow in a double guard.
      It might happen yes.

      dont do this with ur fingers. its too risky
      do it with ur foot

    • @redsnflr
      @redsnflr Рік тому +3

      yeah thats why when you do land with your toe you should flex your foot down like Jean shows to make it a solid weapon in case you do hit a bone on your opponent, but of course even then you can still injure your toe.
      Landing with the heel or balls is much less risky and you can throw it anywhere(especially the big & dense -boned heel), but you don't get the stabbing precision shown here.

    Looks more like a karate front kick rather than hip dominant teep

      The mechanics look like a push kick to me. A karate kick is more of a knee extension flick. Leon Edwards and Conor McGregor do it a lot.

      I started training Muay Thai in '92 and I can tell you with all accuracy that there is no such thing as a teep with your toes.

    • @d.k.c3489
      @d.k.c3489 6 місяців тому

      The teeps are with just the balls of the feet.
