So they tried to say Xehanort was the child of destiny by sending him to destiny islands, because the child of destiny would come from there, so they kinda tried to cheat the system, but it's actually gonna be Sora, isn't it
Most likely
And inadvertently caused the war they were trying to prevent happen.
good comment i didn’t think of that. it’s definitely sora who is the real child of destiny
Riku is the chosen one and Sora is the chosen one’s chosen one. So both.
I didn't watch the video, who is "they"?
The livestream was amazing, thank you again for that Damo! Man, your reading of the Hooded figure and child Xeha on Destiny Island almost made me tear up. We know this man for so long but as everyone we started as small innocent children. That really hit different. I look at Xeha as a completely different person now. In a positive way. Union X and Dark Road are truely special.
This has to solidify that Riku is related to Xehanort and Ephemer. That silver hair has to be genetic! Meaning Riku is the true child of destiny.
In Baldr's flashback, he's on the Darkness after 7 days. That's similar to when Sephiroth learn about his mother in Nibelheim's underground mansion.
Cloud and Sephiroth. They're the only [belch] friends they've got, Morty. It's just Cloud and Sephiroth. Cloooud and Sephiroth and their adventures, Morty. Cloud and Sephiroth, forever and forever, a hundred years Cloud and Sephiroth, st... things. Me and Cloud and Sephiroth runnin' around and Cloud and Sephiroth time. Aaall day long forever. All, a hundred days Cloud and Sephiroth forever a hundred times. Over and over Cloud and Sephiroth adventures dot com W W W dot Cloud and Sephiroth dot com W W W Cloud and Sephiroth adventures all hundred years. Every minute Cloud and Sephiroth dot com W W W hundred times Cloud and Sephiroth dot com.
why is 7 the only one anyone has ever played. It's not even that good.
No one seems to have noticed but at the end of Xehanort and MoM scene, when the MoM said "May your heart be your guiding key" to Xehanort while leaving, we see that the moment he left "the screen" he just "disappeared" from sight.
That might be nothing at first sight but it could be very important regarding to the MoM's nature.
I noticed, I just didn't think much of it. It's the old, look away for a second and Batman has disappeared trick 🤷♀️
@@HarryTenders True but it might hold a clue more important that we'd think at first, especially after the MoM's quote "The truth is what you see with your eyes not what you hear."
@@Nhoadkoko maybe. I just took that line to mean that anyone can lie to you, so you can't rely on what people tell you (what he learned in his schooling) So Xehanort needs to figure it out on his own through his own experiences (what he sees). All this in the context of a conversation about light vs darkness, what is good or bad, or moral.
What are you trying to say? What does "leaving the screen" have to do with anything?
@@christopherneff6104 When he left the screen, the scenery zooms out and he already left the place, as if he wasn't even there in the first place.
It's kinda weird to see the MoM calmly walk away and suddenly disappear from sight.
As a Kingdom Hearts historian, I really appreciate all you do for this community! 🙏
The way Xehanort had so many people rooting for him and still turned out the way he did…it’s tragic, man.
Odin put him in a situation where he is forced to kill his friend. Any of us would never turn out okay without serious therapy. Tell me which person could turn out triumphant after that?
I can't believe they came up with all these amazing characterdesigns just to kill them off...
1:48:00 Forget the rules! I'm not going to lose my friends!
sora confirmed
this is literally what every real friend would say xD
Hey man are u gona be doing a full recap of the finale like a summary explained in full detail like u did in the past? Those are my fav videos. Thank u for all ur hard work bro 🙏🏼 we really appreciate it ❤️
Thank you Damo for all you do for this community and I eagerly await your analysis of all this downright heartbreaking lore.
Cool to see a few of my theories about Xehanort confirmed. Like Ephemer being his ancestor, and Luxu hopping multiple different bodies throughout the years. Wonder how many he’s been through, exactly….
Luxu said he hopped many bodies already lol
The final cut seemed just blew my mind!🤯 This means we were wrong. The player didn't get reincarnated as Xehanort but was reincarnated Into the man that would raise Xehanort!
I had a feeling when he mentioned the powerful light in vor that they were looking for the princesses of heart/seven pure lights. Let’s see where else this goes..
Thank you for this! 🙏🏼
The grind today has been unreal dude. Thanks for the content
we'll eventually get 3D full fledged games of this and MAAAYBE UnionX, right? Right?
actually, I'd prefer for this to be a movie, or two.
I hope we get movies of KHUX and KHDR tbh. If KH4’s a while away, nothing says they can’t give us a collection with KH3, MoM and a movie 🤷🏾♂️
dark road could make a great one season tv show tbh
Right, I don't wanna hear this "Nobody stays dead in Kingdom Hearts crap" after everything that happens in this game. it might be the darkest game in the franchise.
well, it is called *dark* road 😆
This just ended, give it time lol. All of Organization 13 died and came back well after 2006, and 09 in Xion’s case. I’m kidding, but won’t be shocked if papa Nomura’s planning something for em
@@Mikeywf No Ill will intend but Still did you not see how many of them got killed? Even if some come back I doubt all of them are gonna come back[Though if they are going to come back I wouldn't be shocked if they ended up in Quadratum somehow] Plus Organization 13 were Nobodies and at the time before Dream Drop Distance we all thought they "did not exist" so they were not real people at the time per se all these characters that died were Teens Plus Plus Eriques is still dead after BBS as well as the Player Character at the very end. I know the meme "Nobody stays dead in Kingdom Hearts " but while a lot and I know a lot of characters come back to life there are others who stay dead and from a recent interview Namura did say he does not have plans for the new characters in this game in future games maybe in other media like Mangas.
Right sorry for going into a rant here I do get what your saying not saying your right or wrong but I still think this beats 0.2 as the Darkest Kingdom Hearts game [reason is because in that game Aqua is suffering from Depression and PTSD from the first Birth By Sleep Game] I just really love this Franchise and can't help express my opinion
@@ultiementgmr6029 no need to apologize, I totally get it! I’m just memeing 😄. I agree with you, I don’t see these guys coming back, nor do I want them to. I’d rather the series focuses on moving forward instead of showing us the past and pulling from it
@@Mikeywf tbf the whole _"Nobodies dont die, they vanish and wait to get recompleted"_ thing is as old as 2FM (the first mention of it is in director's secret report xiii)
You are the BEST! Truly my favorite KHTuber!
1:52:00 Confirms Vanitas = Darkness. Sadden by that and that I was wrong. Boo.
2:27:25 ...OK. Gotta admit, that was an unexpected twist.
so our oc from union x isnt actually xehanort but his master from the island?
Correct! The reason xehanort has those memories of the players friends is because he connects his heart with the masters in the blue cloaks and see their memories of their past life
@@abidance6444 ahhh thx now i understand that a lot better
@@tarikemundts9634 I'm so glad! Another thing to note is the new game: missing link, will bridge the gap between Ux and DR. It will follow the blue cloak master as the protagonist again in their second life before they take xehanort to the island
@@abidance6444 oh, so the new plaer we will control will be the reincarnation of out older player. smart.
I just realized that Eraqus is the anagram for Square. Like Quadratum everything’s a nod to Square Enix (nice little detail).
Anyone else found the Discord notification beep sounds annoying? I kept checking my own Discord to see if I was getting messages
gonna wait for the full chronological video~
Is the old guy that takes care of Xehanort supposed to be Player?????
You know, I’m really surprised we didn’t see anything involving Xehanort’s time travel. Why didn’t we?
Also, his eyes are still silver when he’s got No Name. When exactly did his eyes turn yellow and why are they yellow in DDD and 3, if they take place before he’s given No Name?
Because Young Xehanort Returns to his time without memories. Hes in a closed loop
Ive been waiting for Master of Master's Face/name reveal and black box reveal for way too long
“His plan is to settle down in some cozy little world.” So does that make Odin Yen Sid or Merlin? Or is he someone else that we may or may not meet in present day? He’s old enough that he could’ve died of old age…
This is highly possible. Merlin taught Kairi and Lea, while Yen Sid taught Mickey.
So the Union X main character isnt Reincarnated as Xehanort.. He or She timetraveled to be Xehanort Stepdad/mom ?
KHUX's Player didn't time-traveled, they've been reborn as Missing Link's Player (and became Xehanort's tutor).
The one in the end, the old man with thr stick is Brain. He was a friend of Ephemer and we know that landed ib the city where Xehanort is born at the end of Union X. So it seems likely
'could that old man be... the player from UX? The player was supposed to be reincarnated, and everyone assumed he became xehanort. But, that old man talks about having living two lifetimes, and he mentions that xehanort can see the hearts of people and he has seen his memories of his heart. The dreams of xehanort about UX are not xehanortñs past memories, but the old man memories that xehanort has seen in the old man heart. could that be?
Its the player. Nomora has confirmed it in the QandA
I’m here for the Master of Masters. Always
Baby Xehanort is so fu**** cute
My boy Damo!!
This add a whole new thing to the cesspool of randomness that is kingdom hearts
They had all that extra time and still did the visual novel slideshow thing for some scenes? Jesus
THE ABSOLUTE PRO GAMER MOVE FROM MOM TALKING XEHANORTS FUCKING KEYBLADE OUT OF HIS HANDS. MY GOD IMAGINE IF HE CAN DO THAT TO ANYONE. SORA WILL NOT EVEN BE ABLE TO HIT HIM
Don't mind me, just here to rewatch 57:11 as part of my new daily routine
This moment became popular 😂
I'm so glad I was right about Bragi!!
The name pretty much gave it away from the beginning, but still...
This was awesome. I definitely have a new appreciation for Xehanort.
He is the type of person who is aware of the reality of things where no one else does. The type of person that lives in perpetual torture because they're the only ones who truly understand the world. They are internally lonely.
Yes, he did despicable things for which he cannot be forgiven, but now we know where he was coming for.
The child of destiny. I suppose that's Sora?
It's 100% sora, since xehanort fell to darkness, or was never truly the child of destiny
@@danielisidoro1599 I suppose that, as it happens in a lot of settings, the prophecy was misinterpreted. Maybe Xehanort wasn't the child of destiny, but the one who would guide the child of destiny. He did perform the inheritance ritual and bequeathed his Keyblade to Sora at the end of KH3.
Additionally, I'm intrigued by the significance of Destiny Islands. I've always known this place is important, but now more than ever I'm having this feeling that there's definitely more to this place than "just another world out there".
I recently replayed Kingdom Hearts 1, and I noticed that even back then Nomura was already highlighting the importance of this place. Destiny Islands is at the core of the end of the world, it's at the innermost section, right before the door to darkness. And it wasn't because it was the first world to be consumed, far from it. By the time the destiny Islands fell to darkness, countless worlds had already been consumed. And then there's BBS, where the destiny Islands are initially inaccessible. They are protected by a light barrier. Aqua, Ventus, and Terra can only access them when they finally find and accept their resolve. It's like this place must deem you worthy first.
I know I got sidetracked, but I'm really intrigued.
First in, Last standing! So awesome to get this juicy DR lore! Thanks for all you do 🙏🏾
That's Eraqus. Walking like a carpet.
Dude Square needs to make a real cgi movie out of this like Back Cover style asap
thank you so much for this
Are you gonna do a full recap? I love those!
47:10 I have a feeling that the master might be a Yozora level boss
Also, I guess the theory that Sora is the Master is seemingly debunked due to him never knowing about the mark of mastery 48:19 - 48:21
i cry on last cutscene
1:06:20 typo, “darkess”
Correct me if I'm wrong but did the final epilogue confirm that Ephemer is related to Xehanort?
Yes it did.
And I guess also to Riku.
So maybe Sora is related to Brain/Eraqus
The silver hair makes sense.
@@sasukaa9171 no he's not related to riku
Yes he's a descendant
2:29:00 is that luxu? “As if” ?

Working on it literally right now :)
man hope u do a explain vid my monkey brain is going crazy with all this.
47:11 BROOOOOO

We are back again!
Oh cool, I was actually right about the possibility that Player was actually the old man. I wonder if we’ll ever see him again… or if we already have. Chances that Player Character was reborn as Sigurd?
Maybe, I think they'll be reborn as the protagonist in Missing Link. It could be about you recovering your memories of your previous life, meeting Brain again, and learning what you have to do to protect the child of destiny, waiting for one to be born so you can take them to Destiny Islands. Makes me hope there will be voice acting in it.
More likely that the Player is reborn as Sora.
@@Vigriff That could explain why Ephemer shows up in KH3... but if the cloaked figure retained his memories of his time in Ux, why wouldn't they do so as Sora? Chances are he reincarnated as Demyx or Luxford probably Demyx since Luxford isn't from the central reality.
@@Vigriff I think you misunderstood what I meant. Missing-Link takes place before Dark Road, and I think Player was reborn as Sigurd and that at the end of Missing-Link, we’ll find out that Sigurd then went on to become the Blue Cloaked Man.
I also think Player/BCM goes on to be reborn Sora
Im confused...did Baldr witness his sister die and that's what drove him to succumb to darkness, or was he already succumbed and he killed his own sister? We see him perhaps accidentally(?) strike the finishing blow but it's a bit confusing. And the whole bit about darkness slowly growing in xehanort and the others but manifesting in him?
I'll wait for the explanation video!
WE LOVE YOU FOR THIS. 🏆🥲❤️
So vanitas IS the darkness that went into Him and that returned to him at the end of bbs ( it Was send to the future befor the final battle wich is how its in ventus heart in kh 3 remind)
I appreciate they make Hoder visibly upset. She knows she unwillingly played a part in her brother’s downfall and is willing to strike him down to stop him from killing more people. It's a level of depth I wish Kairi had in KH3 or MoM.
I don’t quite get Baldur. I think he's trying to say when children of destiny "find the strength to pursue their goals", they'll be cast out or executed under the assumption they're using the darkness. However, we don't really know what "goals" Baldr is talking about within the story of Dark Road. Baldr's closest thing to a goal is him making a proto-organization 13 and eventually summon Kingdom Hearts. But in the context of the story, he's partially possessed by a Darkness, so you can argue this isn't *his* goal. Plus, he's killing people which isn't even close to being morally ambiguous. Normal people won't just roll over and die for you just so that you can erase the world. More importantly, he IS using the power of darkness! This even applies to Xehanort in the mainline games. Both he and Baldr proudly claim they're strong from using the darkness as they plan to commit worldswide genocide! So Baldr's line about condemnation, in the sense that its a misunderstanding where people like Eraqus see new forms of strength as a form of sin and darkness, doesn't make sense unless its a slight translating error.
"So Baldr's line about condemnation, in the sense that its a misunderstanding where people like Eraqus see new forms of strength as a form of sin and darkness, doesn't make sense unless its a slight translating error."
Or that's just the lines of a truly broken, sick and twisted person. Or even "poetic excuses" that the Darkness is using to try and get Xehanort on their side.
@@christopherneff6104 I don't think this series wants to paint characters like that. I think what the writers wanted to say was children of destiny are destined to fall into darkness trying to save those closest to them. Baldr went crazy after he failed trying to save his sister (that was probably the goal he was talking about). And If fan theories are right about Riku being a child of destiny, it would make sense why he succumbed to the darkness because he thought it was the only way to save Kairi.
Do u know when the next recap or explanation is coming? I can't sit through hours of stuff. More less understand as easily as u explain stuff mate
OH MAH FUCCIN GAWD! BEAST IS SO CUUUUUUUUUUTE IN UNION CROSS! OH MAH GOD I COULD JUST CUDDLE HIM!
So xehanort is literally the pseudo child of ephemer and the player.
He is a reincarnation of the player and a descendent to ephemer
No, the reincarnation of the Player is the person in the blue hood, who raised Xehanort.
@@bensherlock1328 I realized
Bravo my friend
There is something i really don't understand, until now we have only seen heartless and the "original" darknesses of union x as emanetions of the darkness (the unverse are the only one coming from the emotions of someone). But this is the first time we see not an heartless but a darkness come to life from people's heart, so is this something new that we need to focus on for the lore or just something used for the purpose of dark road?
Moreover we have only seen people "possessed" by the original darknesses, in this case baldr is actually possessed by this darkness or is this situation more similar to xehanort, who follows the darkness but is not completely controlled by it?
'Cause we se that baldr is speaking in third person referring to himself while he uses the first one while speaking as darkness... and that's something new, this never happened with xehanort.
This whole situation is making me pretty confused on the actual meaning of what we have seen.
I think the idea is Baldr's darkness is the same type as the 13 Darknesses, but the 13 are the first to ever appear, making them the strongest. Btw, they may not have been sentient, but you have seen characters emit their own darkness, Hans in Frozen, Frollo in 3DS, Scar (I think?), and I'm sure there are others.
I knew it
Bragi is my new man !!
It didn't blindside me. I didn't think Luxu was THAT lazy coming up with names for new vessels. Where does he get them anyway? You'd think he's taking the bodies of strong-hearted individuals he finds off the street, so why wouldn't he take their names too?
@@chrisdaughen5257 Who says he ISN'T taking their names too? Maybe that's just their names!
Just summarize it for me I promise I won't be mad.
So the Player reincarnated to Xehanort but also "way point time traveled" to Scala ad caelum to take care of Xehanort???
Wait what???
What's going on???
Player didn't reincarnate into Xehanort, we were bamboozled
@@damo Maybe the Player was reincarnated in to the blue hooded figure? He/she did admit that they lived two lives. Then there's toddler Xehanort's dream depicting the Union Leaders and a 6th person that has similarities to the blue hooded figure. Finally, there's a flashback of the Player's final moments during Keyblade War before moving to the Data World. The blue hooded figure said that Ephemer was a good friend.
But if the blue hooded figure was formerly the Player, how were the memories retained?
@@Rey1290 We don't know how reincarnation really works, so perhaps memories are retained between reincarnations. Or the Player's unique circumstances made them remember. But I have my own theory.
Chirithy during the whole deciding to go to sleep or not cutscene in Union Cross said something along the lines of "Your heart will simply melt into a new one if you choose not to sleep" which doesn't make much sense on its own. So perhaps the Blue Hood isn't our Player, but rather just has aspects of the Player's heart inside of them. Somehow they are able to awaken those memories.
Or, Luxu did something considering he knows about the existence of all the Union Leaders + Player and needs them for something. So it may be possible to see the Player in the modern era.
Link is not in the description?

@@christopherneff6104 Thanks!
Is Skuld Xehanort's mother?
Nope
@@damo How do you know? That woman who gives baby Xehanort over to old man Player sure looks a Hell of a lot like Skuld to me!
No, but I think both Xehanort’s mother and Subject X are descendants of Skuld.
So the ansem to YX timeloop paradox is still unexplained then… you can’t go back in time to set yourself on the path when you need to be on the path to go back in time. If this can be dismissed as “oh paradox it’s fine” then we can only expect more Bs for kh4 and beyond. Who’s to say future sora comes from beyond to save the day and it just works because “paradox” even the sora hasn’t gotten there yet. Trust I’ve been following from the beginning but hell do I hate time travel like this…
Eh, the timeloop was never really neccesary to explain why YX went down the path he did. Sure, it eventually happens and reinforces that path through the weird "I forgot but my heart remembers" thing, but there is more than enough that happens in this game to show YX could have originally done what he did completely of his own volition.
I thought the blue hood being the player explains away the need for at least some of the time travel
@@sNazzy_nazzy “enough happens in this game”, but think about what you just said, he only goes through this game because ansem sends him there, otherwise he woulda still just been chilling on DI after blue hood passes.
@@_kuae_ oh yah forgot abt that, ig maybe he just uhh became a heartless at some point and time traveled lol
Either way, I like paradoxes like these cuz they don't make themselves impossible, but I respect the difference in opinion
@@_kuae_ future xehanort tells ansem to go back in time to send yx on his destined path. It wasn’t talked about because it’s pretty simple. After the events of scala Yx went on his path from what his heart told him to go on from the time travel. It’s not a paradox at all. Remember ansem is terra/xehanort’s darkness not just xehanorts. So basically it’s not xehanort but is
So the dude with a similar name of another dude is actually the same dude. WHATATWIST!
Also, confirmed that Skuld and Ephemer are Xehanort's parents... but, i smell some cheating from Skuld if that's the case. I mean, cmon, if that's really Ephemer's child, how did he end up looking like that, Skuld must had met Tyrone while Ephemer was working in town.
I hate this i hate this fucking story i hate this fucking game series WHY WAS I ON THE EDGE OF MY SEAT FOR EVERY SINGLE SECOND OF THIS STUPID STORY WHY DOES KH HOLD ME HOSTAGE LIKE THIS
What's wrong with it? It was great!!!
Story was kind of trash. Barely remembered any of the characters names. Hardly any development. Secret ending was the only thing cool but made me question (SPOILERS!!) how did Baldr expect to accomplish his goals if he didn’t actually kill 13 people. I guess Odin would’ve been next. Idk. 5/10
Thank you tho Damo. You always come through
Eraqus and Xehanort would have been the 12 and 13.
This was... Kinda bad ngl
How so?
Thanks. I can’t wait to see a full chronological composition of all the cutscenes. As well as your full explanation of the story.
kingdom hearts is a silly kids game:
real kingdom hearts lore: child genocide to feed a heart shaped moon to open up to make a big bang happen
Few things I didn't notice the first time:
1. When Hermond and Urd die, there was a personified Darkness (Baldr) stalking them. The same goes for Eraqus and Xehanort right before Odin saves them.
2. During Baldr's flashback, Bragi is the only one who doesn't start to vanish, kinda like how Xigbar was the only one to not vanish after he was beaten in KH3.
Bragi and Braig are almost the same name too. Both can be anagrams for xigbar with the x added.
@@samoth5161 is turned out to be luxu . Maybe that’s a younger braig?
@@vegapreferred9344 Braig has dark hair and was in his late 20s when he met xehanort. Bragi was just another vessel before Braig.
@@mookiedt you’re right it seems braig And xehanort are the same age maybe braigi being older by a bit. Seems the story is focused on it being luxu story since we are slowly seeing him through his different forms
Unless Luxu-Bragi used an arc to go forward in the future that may sound like a stretch, but be crazy Braig/Braig/Xigbars body is the same vessel for Luxu currently and we know when a third party heart fully overwhelms someone's heart from within their body the possessed body takes on the traits of the current host like how Terra's body took on the traits of Xehanort
2:37:57 - 2:38:05 This Child of Destiny sounds like Sora.
2:40:03 So Ephemer is Xehanort's ancestor. They do have similar hair colors.
I love those small details with Baldr's heartless named "Hringhorn". In Norse mythology, "Hringhorni" is the name of the ship of the god Baldr, said to be the "greatest of all ships". Dark Road pays some heavy tributes to Norse mythology.
57:11 bro this is peak comedy
for real who the fuck wrote that, need them on the mainline titles right now
Glad I'm not the only one who found that funny 😂
Thank you for being the only reason I have any idea what the heck is going on in this crazy franchise.
Does anyone know if he’s gonna do a voice over summary over these episodes like the others?
Okay so there wasn’t much planting for the future but here are some things I think I caught, yet could totally be wrong abt
1. The dead upper class men saying there’s not much distinction between light and dark. Yeah we kinda knew that’s where the series was going, with the light master becoming this saga’s main antagonist. Might even tie into Riku being the original child of destiny, since he fights with light and darkness
2. Odin could totally be out there in some world in present day. May even be Yen Sid since Eraqus said he was retiring from the keyblade 👀. Would also explains how the three of them know each other, which I totally thought would be explained in this game but wasn’t
I thought it was revealed that (you/player) was reincarnated into Xehanort, but then this game reveals that (you) were also the caretaker of young Xehanort?!
I totally see it as you/player Is the caretaker and xehanort is reading his heart and dreaming of it. If you believe cehanort can do that at all.
My only disappointment is not learning why Xehanort went bald.
He shaved it off. Nomura interview
Apparently Xehanort causally mentions that he shaved it off out of respect for his dead comrades during a conversation with the Magic Mirror lol
Hope to see the explanation for this, theories,& such soon
48:49 onward I need animated in the main games style I swear!
I don't fully understand the implications from 1:43:41 to 1:45:12. Are they explaining a huge lore revelation, only for Eraqus & Xehanort to shrug it off/misunderstand/ignore it? Or is Xehanort just telling them that their observation is not correct, and that there really is an objective existence of darkness that is separate from conflicting beliefs?
Eraqus doesn't like the idea that people can grow Darkness to add to the ranks of True Darkness, and that Darkness can use people's Hearts as human shields. It is too messy for him. Eventually it will break him. (See Eraqus attacking Ventus).
Xehanort is similar because at this point he can sense the Darkness in the culprit of this Game, but doesn't want to believe it. Because if he did, He would have to End Them., which he does end up doing.
Is where sora met yozora not “ other world” alternative but the “corridors of darkness” the place seems to match
Thank you for this, the story blew my mind. Can't wait to see the theory craft from this.
46:05 - M.o.M is Theodore to me now and forever and nobody can prove to me otherwise... not even Theodore himself!!! >__
20:46 bruh I was about to say, wtf is that reasoning lmao but then eraqus calls him out
Definitely the saddest kingdom hearts game ever
why? Even the previous mobile one was sadder and far more plot-twisty
@@turbotrup96 it's my opinion and I respect yours but plot twists don't do everything in a game. Plus, Baldr has gone completely crazy because of the death of his sister and she was killed by his own darkness which ended up killing everyone, even his precious friends. They were fourteen before, but two remained and we know what happened to those two (Eraqus being killed by Xehanort and Xehanort ended up being the "bad guy"). Xehanort had to kill his friend to get rid of his darkness. They lost everyone.
I'm not saying that Union Cross is not sad. It is really sad. But for the main characters, I think Dark Road is a little bit sadder.
@@manonloulergue7951 The problem with Dark Road is that its main characters just aren't doing this for me-- they're not very interesting so their deaths don't mean much to me, especially when you expect them to die.
Plus, there is not that much time to give them better exposition, I think; Dark Road feels, or simply, IS the shortest of all KH games.
@@turbotrup96 Personally I think the problem is that they are not that developed, and this is because Nomura didn't have the possibility to do all that he wanted because of the storage capacity. So it's true that their deaths are less impactful. It's also true that this game is pretty short. I really hope they will do at least something like Back Cover to make all of this in cutscenes.
@@manonloulergue7951 Yes, Nomura's approach to making such important to the plot games be on phones with chibi aesthetics, with limited animations, and with a very slowly released content - is quite something else.
In a way, though, I find these games pleasing, because of how calming the cutscenes are with nothing but music playing in the background; giving it some nostalgic vibe.
Thank you for your hard work! 🙂
Is Riku the child of destiny? That seems to fit him since the games keep implying something is special with him and that Sora's an ordinary boy .... hmmm
I kinda hope so because I really want Sora to be that amazing but not related to anything ''ordinary'' boy who just ends up getting involved and fixing stuff by chance. I love Sora and Riku and hope of them, not just Sora, will be relevant for the next arc because any arc about darkness and light and questioning their relationship and status quo SHOULD include Riku who already went trough that plot in a smaller more personal way. If they make Sora the child of destiny, there is a chance they will sideline Riku despite his relevance in the darkness topic. At this point I would love a Xehanort Riku spin off game because these 2 do have a lot in commen. if they met under different sircumstances they could have been friends I think. I mean Ansem's odd relationship with Riku already kind of shows this by the end. Anyway, it could be Sora or Riku at this point, they both hail from destiny islands and both have been very unique individuals with a lot of amazing feats under their belts. I could see it being either of them, but hope it's Riku and asume it's Sora.
What a jip, the Master of Masters name redacted again.....
Thanks for making this, was wondering if you still plan on doing a full dark road all cutscenes in order video or if I should just watch these 2 instead. Thanks!
Can't wait for your TL:DW! Even if it takes longer than this :)
God this was an emotional roller coaster
