DJI RC Pro: Screencast versus Screen Recording Conflict

  • The standard way to connect to a monitor is to use the mini HDMI from the RC Pro to the HDMI connection on the monitor or tv. Some RC Pro users have found this to result in damage to the HDMI port requiring the RC Pro to be sent in for repairs.
Using a wireless method like screen casting prevents wear and tear and damage to the RC Pro HDMI port. I prefer the wireless casting method as described here but identified(after losing some really good screen recording video) that there seems to be a conflict preventing the RC Pro system from screen recording and screencasting at the same time.
This video has been sent to DJI for clarification and resolution. Comment if you have already found a legitimate fix or if I'm doing something wrong.

While this video was made for DJI specifically to share the details of this problem, hopefully it helps you guys as well. Unfortunately, DJI has responded that this cannot be helped and is a limit of the processing power...there is only enough to manage one video feed at a time...screen record OR wireless casting.

Thank you very much, this is also a major problem I have been trying to fix. I'm the one that sent you the comment from another device last night on your vid Calhoun County. Not being as tech savvy as you has made it extra difficult, as you are the only one with with a RC pro Enterprise controller and a 3T drone doing this, please make another complete vid when or if you find a solution. It appears TV makes and models play a huge role also, thank you again.
