It will be a week or so until I upload part 2. I realized today the show started late and it didn't record the end. The next replay on TV is in 8 days. I'll record that and try to upload shortly after.

Thanks for the upload. I just wanted to comment on what Randy said about how our legs go first when we get older. The problem with most bowlers is that they don't look at it as a sport where they have to stay in shape. Most bowlers are obese, especially in the men's division. Take advantage while you're young and you won't have to worry about it as you get older.
No Kim Pressler, but way less Gong Show when CBS produces it. So that’s a consolation.

Dang Simonsen struggled the last game with 2 2-8-10 splits. Also Kent towards the end. Those right lanes were wayyyyy tight down lane for Kent and Anderson
I noticed a few of the bowlers including Kent, Simonsen and Belmo had approach issues the entire time.
Kris has a negative attitude about his bowling and this reflects with the other bowlers!

I understand Kris frustration because to leave several 10 pins then a pocket 9 and you bowl for a living and love the game that could be irritating at times

If a curve isn't symmetrical and turns sharply towards the end, it's a hook. There used to be bowlers who rolled a curve ball, a symmetrical arc trajectory.

the reason Pederson says "curve" not hook is because the only thing he knows about hooking a ball is he can't do it. hehehe...

@@coopergates9680 you do know that pro motion is the newest ball right? A ball Jason Belmonte worked on with Storm. It is no wonder he threw it in this tournament. However, i feel he is going to change balls in the stepladder finals based off of how the Pro Motion was reacting.
@@DeanMcCain It uses the same cover stock as the Crux Prime, and the Prime is a very well received ball. As you said, the Pro Motion seems to be doing OK but not great.
@@coopergates9680 Yes, but I believe there is something about the weight block or something that makes it react differently to all of Storm's other balls. But yeah, if I was Belmo, I wouldnt use the Pro Motion in the stepladder finals. I dont know what pattern it would work on but i would like tp get it.
@@DeanMcCain Crux Prime should still be used due to low oil absorption rate. The beefy balls these days otherwise result in people lofting the gutter after only a couple games. I've had to move so far in only a few frames even with a reactive ball from the 90s.

Rewatching this, and I noticed the players really bothered by the in game interviews. Belmo and E.J had a little talk about it in there and O'Neil wasn't phased much, but he waited.

Kris Prather is such a great talent but he needs to be more humble and get back to enjoying the bowling and not try to be so perfect with it!
Probably is being harder on himself now that he has won such a big event. Easily my favorite bowler right now, its not fun to see him struggle.

Hi, is there anybody who would be kind enough to understand the “Lane Level” with EJ at 1:30:00.
Chris and EJ use lots of terminology I’m not familiar with such as :
“Bigger ball”
“Stay close to the hook”
“Ball goes forward”
“Come off of it”
“Go around it”...
What are they referring to? Agressive ball? Breakpoint?
-I thought to stay close to the hook one must use less agressive balls which hooks like a polo stick instead of agressive ball which curve like banana’s?-
It’s confusing for me

Aggressive ball as in how mush the ball hooks
Breakpoint is how far the ball is when it hooks and what board on the lane it hooks

Didn’t shock me. He did that all year in 2016 but the people forget to tell you that because he needs to be perfect. Yet they don’t seem to forget when anyone else does bad. Hmmmmm I think I see some bias.

I believe when he knows he has 3 or 4 more games to bowl, he just uses the first game as a warm up to figure out what needs to be done for the next game.
I guess even the best there is can have an off day, just means there's hope for the rest of us.

Who can tell me how this video is captured? Would you have to stream the show to a computer and then use some kind of rendering software to edit it for UA-cam upload?
I record the show on my TiVo and then use a software on the computer called Archivo. It connects to the TiVo, downloads the show to the computer, then uses Handbrake to encode the video to mp4. Before encoding it also attempts to remove commercials using ad-cut. Doesn't always work, it's mostly good with shows on Fox, terrible with CBS shows, not sure why. When it fails to remove commercials I have to manually do it (time consuming) because if I upload with commercials YT likes to block my videos.

Have nothing against Belmonte, but every time I watch him play. I hope he loses, cause I cannot stand his knee up set up. He didn't do it earlier in his career.
