Silver Scammer Tries to Target ME! Gold and Silver Scam EXPOSED
Вставка
- Опубліковано 27 вер 2024
- In this video I expose a silver scam that has been going on for a long time. This particular silver scam takes place when a company tries to sell silver and gold numismatics at massive markups while pretending they are a great deal. Most people who fall victim to these silver and gold scams lose money on them. There is a small market for these gold and silver collectibles, however I believe that purchasing silver or gold numismatics at these incredible markups is never a good idea. The scammer tried to sell me an overpriced slabbed silver coin and an overpriced slabbed gold coin. I showed them that the coins were overpriced and they actually agreed with me. The scammer did say that they would purchase the coins for the suggested price although I highly doubt they would have done so. I hope that you can help spread the word about these silver coin scams and gold coin scams so that others don't fall victim.

I get tired of Telemarketers and scammers
My brother always goes off on them. Cracks me up!
That dude was really pushy. These scammers are scum. Thanks for exposing these bums.
I love playing with these scammers on the phone. Longer I can keep them on the line, the fewer people they can scam.
“This doesn’t dictate the market, you know…”
Sold listings with bids of what people are willing to pay, literally showing what the market is.😒
As a certified appraiser....I approved your comment.
"That's like trading $100 for $50" was a Freudian slip 😂
Bottom line, don’t buy anything from a cold call. This guy was bad at his job, he should have hung up and called the next person as soon as SD asked a question.
That brotha was starving kek
Maybe after a couple of objections… gotta try!
It seemed he knew he was being recorded, so if he just hung up it would confirm the scam.
This is awesome. I am so glad you did this. Well done.
Building wealth involves developing good habits like regularly putting money away in intervals for solid investments. Instead of trying to predict and prognosticate the stability of the market and precisely when the change is going to happen, a better strategy is simply having a portfolio that’s well prepared for any eventually, that’s how some folks' been averaging 150K every 7week these past 4months according to Bloomberg.
That’s crazy, I’m just doing everything wrong with my portfolio.
The US-Stock Mrkt had been on it’s longest bull-run in history, so the mass hysteria and panic is relatable considering we’re not accustomed to such troubled mrkts, but there are avenues lurking around if you know where to look. My husband and I are retiring this year with over $7,000,000 in tax deferred investments. up until 3 years ago we were 100% in the S&P. During bear markets we had a perfect plan. We got an investment manager in our corner and didn’t look at our portfolio for nearly a year.
Same here, 75% of my portfolio is in the red and I really don’t know how long I can stomach the losses. I’m beginning to reach a breaking point.
Patience patience patience. It's a cycle.... a sucky point in the cycle, but a cycle nonetheless.
Wow, that’s stirring! Do you mind connecting me to your advisor please. I desperately need one to diversified my portfolio.
He was persistent!! I wish I was quick/smart enough to call them out like you did. That's why I have only bought from SD, Apmex (for specialty items SD doesn't carry), and a local coin guy so far. Thank you for all you do!!
Hero bullion is another good company with lower prices I’ve used them for few years
For me it's simple. If number is not programmed in my phone I don't answer it. However if I'm in the right mood I answer just to mess with them. Esp on marketplace I know a scammer with their first message. Great video Dragons!
Same here!
I made a purchase on ebay last week. I noticed a guy in Chuna with no history selling maples for $34 cdn. At the time my bullion dealer was selling them for about $41. So watch out, if the price is too good to be true it probably is.
I don't mess with any Coin sellers from China. Anytime I'm buying on ebay I limit the Search filter to only include North America. Or you can just uncheck CHINA.
II only buy from Canada. I got a great deal 2 ten oz bars for $670
If you find a free lunch, you're the product.
So, I agree. Too good to be true.
That guy was ridiculous!
Liar liar pants on fire 😂 thanks for the heads up SD 👍
Three hundred dollars for a graded eagle😂😂
Well that was entertaining 🤣. Great video. What a joke, I like how you called him out on it in this one
Thanks for the heads up. Keep exposing the scammers!
Great job exposing this scam. Yep, when we participate in the spot deals, then these calls come in. I have gotten these calls too. Most signature label graded coins are a scam in and of themselves. lol I have a few but I didn't pay a premium for them. Thanks for sharing sir. Hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving!
Get'em, Dragon! He was working the "logic" ... but at the end of the day, he knows, you know, and the chat knows, it's a hustle.
The launch of Amazons AMS79X is like the opening act of a grand opera, setting the stage for a performance thatll be talked about for ages.
Very sad. One of my friends, a senior citizen, buys from these scammers on a regular basis. They spend a lot of time with him on the phone and take advantage.
So did you tell him lol
@@goose33 Yes, in a gentle way.
These folks do not stop.
My phone automatically blocks telemarketers and scammers. The odd one slips through. I hate them eo much.
Hold up, y’all answering calls from unknown numbers? 🤣🤣🤣
I say that I have a full metals position. Then I ask them what do they have that they are selling at spot. That usually is enough to stop the conversation.
I have heard these phone calls before and bought some. Sorry I did not hear this before. Thanks for the help. JH
I feel the same way when I look at the listings on the US Mints website for 2023 Morgan’s and Peace Silver Dollars. I would never get my money back on those 😂
You can easily get your money back on the morgan and peace dollars but I would wait. The 2021 have doubled in price and I think the 2023 will do the same but if your really wanted to you could sell your reverse proof right now for a little bit of a profit
I just wish someone else sold proofs.
Dead right! I bought one of each, proof Morgan dollar and proof Peace dollar. I decided I don't like them and I have been trying to sell them online. I will be lucky to make my money back.
@@mathematician1234 might as well hold on for a few years
thanks for posting this. phone scammers stink.
I also live in Oregon. I have been called twice by people trying to sell me silver at crazy prices. Both times 1982 washington halfs for 40 dollars plus shipping. I have 2 tubes (40 coins) and I did not pay over 15 dollars each, delivered.
Thank goodness you are so smart!!
You are truly an expert.
I've made some purchases from Westminster mint. On two occasions I got MS 70 first strike gold eagles for $50 under spot. But listening to the sales pitch for over priced fancy labeled slabs was extremely annoying! I'm glad it's not my first rodeo. They definitely target the uneducated stacker/collector.
So cringy to listen to the scammer get called out and stumble all over himself...lol
On the other hand, I got a proof gold buffalo for under spot by asking what else they had from one of these guys. They later called back a couple other times and I talked to them for 5 minutes telling them what the real prices of what they were trying to sell. They stopped calling.
I would never buy precious metals from a cold call. I'm new at this, so I made my first purchase from a reputable bullion dealer. That way I know that what showed up at my door was the real thing. Now I watch the spot prices at a website listing them and compare prices at the dealers before buying.
Why would a company be selling a graded coin for $7500 when its worth $10k 🙄🤔
Lol the guy had no idea who he called. He had no idea whatsoever. It was silver dragons
My sister-in-law was scammed by a company selling 1/10 ounce Remember 9/11 gold coins. They lathered on the "Collectible Bull'. She ended up buying 24 coins, a total of 3 ounces of gold. The total cost was 12,989$, Gold at the time was 1784.40$ per ounce spot. I called Harry from Harry's coin shop and he said this was a Price scam and he had not even heard of this coin. 3 ounces of Gold from a reputable dealer would have cost less than 6K including premium. She forked over 12,989$. How can these scammers sleep well at night?
eBay doesn't dictate the market. Lol okay!
Dang scammers Baggins!
A cold call. Whenever someone calls and I don't recognize the number I say nothing. They usually hang up and then I block them
Wow what a great deal by the scammer.. I'll take as many as you have..🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for a good video. I've been trying to educate my parents so they can also avoid this type of thing, or the even worse, "highly collectable UNC old coin with real 24k gold gilding!"
people who scam the elderly are the worst of the worst
Those pesky car troubles.
On Ebay, I see alot of Sterling Silver coins that are bullion replications... and they are priced just below the silver spot price.
To each his own, what a clown. I bet he wasn't ready for your call, hahaaa. Nice to give him a taste of his own medicine.
Yeah, the guy was talking total BS. I would never buy anything from random call, just too many scammers.
My phone is set up to only ring if your number is in my contacts list. Thanks for the video, SD.
But then he wouldn't have a video.
I used to get a lot of calls like you do on scam high priced coins. Almost every single call was from the 612 area code or Long Island NY. I blocked the entire code and rarely get any scam phone calls for coins. Somehow I got on a list of coin buyers. That's good advice to not buy anything from a cold caller on the phone. You don't make money on collectibles. It's not considered an investment. Gold and silver are a non collectible asset.
Good for you on calling them out.
I get calls from government mint scarce and unique department with some crazy deals
SilverDragon I buy silver coins off of eBay but I buy it from a shop I trust and will still buy from them there :)
I just block these types of calls
Saw a tv show selling pre 1933 5.00$ gold coins,suposedly ms61/2 for 18,000$ a piece.🙄
Yeah, he’s not too bright...
These predatory coin selling companies should just go to a Loot Box model. Who wants a business with under 10% margins? Add a gambling aspect to the product and screw your desperate customers out of some of their money with dreams of hitting it big! Gambling is where the money is to be made..... and Souls to be lost.
Or better yet buy the Gambling product, and resell it to an even more desperate person that will gamble 2x $$ the originally intended retail price.
If he would buy them all day for $7.5k and resell them for $10-15k if only he didn't work for the company so they would sell them to him you should ask "then why don't you quit your job there, and buy up all they have?" "How much could they possibly be paying you that it's not more profitable to just quit and buy+resell these amazing deals making $2.5-7.5k profit from each coin?"
So. The worst experience I've had so far was Littleton coin company sending me bags of numismatic coins (half dollars and 1 dollar gold coins and the like) and telling me to pick what I want and to sent the rest back. Then they'll charge me for the coins that I kept. The kicker for me was that one of them was a 2021 silver eagle that they claimed was "uncirculated" and they wanted 70 dollars for it. I made the mistake of buying from them once. I won't do it again.
I DO NOT answer the phone to numbers that I don't know......if they don't leave a voice mail = BLOCKED
Thank you
After talking to professional dealers. Why doesn't he buy it.. lol such full of crap salesman.
I got 10 eagles for 300.00. Last week. Hmmm
Odd. He didn't sound like he was from India. They are getting sneaky these days.
Yeh, in my early days of collecting and stacking I got phone calls. Not sure how they got my number. And I went for a couple of the deals...Morgan BUC rolls, slabbed ASEs, etc. I've got some ill probably never get my money back on. I may just try and shuck them in a group I'll liquidate to convert some Silver to gold and forget about it. Now if silver took a wild turn to the upside I'd really gather them all up and sell them. Watch out folks, be smart, be safe. Thx SD !!
Rick Tomaska’s show is way overpriced. And he referenced him in his pitch! That made me laugh!
Please show more scam calls to Educate new stackers.
then tell him to quite his job and use the number and start buying for himself .. and be rich
Let’s go….
I buy local.
I’ll never buy off of a website. Only deal with SDB. Good informative video. Waiting on a Harry and the crew video. Thank you Silver Dragons
Hey! Right now ebay is selling. However, I can't go off of ebay.
I think this is the first time we have actually heard SD legitimately agitated. Also just because he couldn’t buy them why doesn’t one of his friends or his family? Because he knows he‘s selling snake oil.
He’s very glib, but completely unconvincing. He’s looking for uneducated patsy’s.
Great video brother thanks for the info
This guy should go work for Mike mezak and hsn. He was just on there selling 10oz coca cola bars for 449 and literally claiming your getting them at melt.
You are very patient.
He said the company wouldn't let him buy them and resell, if he could make $2,500 from each, why not quit the company?
Still better prices that what I've seen on Home Shopping Network!
If they were just so great of a deal, they will go to family first.
I don’t buy anything on EBay.
If you didn't contact the dealer don't buy!
Great video. Very informative. Let’s see more of these and less of the conspiracy theories.
Good job calling him out.
This is great!
I’m surprise he stayed on the phone as long as he did he Usually they would’ve said OK I understand you’re leery about these higher prices in that case. Have a good day.
Here early! Love the silver vids.
At least he didn’t try an sell you a beautiful topanzanite ring for $899
Why is the dude even bothering? He met his match. Move on to the next sucker.
I recently found your UA-cam channel, been watching for about a week and finally made the plunge into a new prep, silver coins/rounds! Thanks for ALL the information I have gathered
You should reach out to Canadian Prepper and do a video with him on some Silver/Gold preps
All I would say is why don’t they just sell them for all that money themselves lol
not Swiss America - Craig Smith was the CEO - goes back to Swissies having the gold
I got a silver dragon coin for 10 cents! No lie!
Also, If there is any modern political figure on the coin, its a scam.
This guy is full of it
So with the AMS79X obviously 40k 50k all of that is in range and the ages of 15 or 20k are done. There have been rumors about what caused all of this to spike up but truth is it is more
Dude, I could care less if the Pope himself signed the slab.
Buy the coin, not the packaging.
They were probably fake stuff anyway.
I only buy from sd bullion or Tim from Manchester new hampshire
Great education for the views, never buy over the phone. 💩 Poor scammer.😂😜🤪
I never give my phone number nor do i use my real name.
Must have been his first day. An experienced telemarketer would have hung up right away once you challenged him with facts and figures.
why did he talk to you for so long?
