It’s already bad enough that a county sheriff knows about them, let alone said sheriff be the acting President!” - McArmor replies.
“About that… I am pretty sure we, Federal Police officers, both outrank him. Why aren’t YOU the Acting President?”
“Because it’s better for us to have him sit there and get busy with some duties instead of getting here. We need to get the actual President back ASAP, though, or the letter agencies will be very upset… ad you know they are the ones truly running the show in Uncanny Valley.”
“Then what do we do?”
“Let’s just watch. That Head Deputy is not bad at his work, no wonder that Dummieson likes him very much. I will ask for reinforcements while they wear out the baddies as well as Genghis.”
