I'm back from travelling today and have lots of parts stacked up for the bike! The aim is to ride it in April sometime if everything goes well :) Excuse the ads, I just spotted that there are more than usual, that was UA-cam not me. I'll fix it as soon as I'm home on a laptop. You can't delete mid roll ads on the phone.
Good vid again. My "go to" is the workshop manual, but it's always useful to see a job being undertaken along with tips and potential pitfalls. So your vids really help to give the extra confidence when undertaking more complex jobs. Plus, it's interesting to see work done on different bikes. Nice to know I'm helping to keep your brain parts happy 😂😂 Cheers, Andy.
Thank you good sir. I always try buy service manuals, I'm finding it hard to find one for the Valkyrie which isn't ideal, I need to find it to do the valves etc. Happy to be of service :) The comments help the brain parts want to make more videos :) Hope yer well!
Another great one! One day I'll get to do this Valkyrie rebuild, always wanted a new set with ss braided lines. I think she stops great oem. DId 115 chilly miles yesterday, when the forecast said 3inches of snow & 4 fell today. Just holed up waiting for some more clear days. Thanks for the inspiration. 03 Valkyrie Deluxe since Apr '21.
Thanks! The stainless lines are pretty affordable and incredibly easy to fit on non abs bikes :) So I've heard! Jaysus I don't know would I be mad to ride in the snow now 😂 Thanks for watching and commenting!
Strange but true this video only just appeared on my feed.21:00. Saturday.Jakarta time. Small point to mention when you take controls off handlebars. If they are where you like them to be put a dot on the bar where the clamp joins so you can put it back as it was. Your brakes should be better anyway as you are putting braded hoses, modern brake pads, and new tyres. It is a fascinating thing how fluids and pistons just get ignored. People will spend so much time and money on geegaws but overlook the basics. Another solid video. Thank you. 👍
Yeah UA-cam doesn't seem to like me these days. Every Tuesday and Friday though generally is when I try to release them :) That's a good point, I didn't bother marking them as I didn't like the stock position anyway. Too high or something. I have bigger hands than most I suppose. The tyres are already pretty new so just brakes and lines :) which should improve things immensely. It really is, and general important stuff gets ignored in favor of a a new exhaust etc. Thanks!
Nice one good sir. I still havent done my clutch master cylinder but I have confirmed it is the large diaphram on the lid and not the seals on the piston that are gone. I even got a set of JIS screwdrives from the wife for valentines day so hopefully get that job done over the weekend. Just need a bit of hose for the bleed nipple. Looking forward to the next one
Gracias. Oh really? Well that is much easier solve once you can find one at least eh :) Oh nice! I only have one JIS 😂 Ah yeah grab anything, usually Halfords have the little mini bleeder for less than a tenner too.

Farewell, skull levers. We hardly knew ye. 😂
Thanks the gods for that eh 😂
Great video! Can I ask where you picked up your snap ring pliers?
Thanks! One set from harbor freight, but the good one I got in lowes. It has interchangeable hole sizes etc.
@@TheGorillaBiker Thank you sir! Greatly appreciated!
