The worst part of caldera was there were thousands of spots of rocks that you couldn’t mantle. Like 10 percent of the map you couldn’t even walk on. It wasn’t til warzone 2 that they started making it a point to be able to do that. But by then everyone already hated the game

The reusing of maps is a strat they used often early in warzone and it worked. You can also demo maps as POI's and place loot on them to try get players to engage on it the way you would want. Make it makes sense in how you insert it into the map and boom, you have a couple of really fun and engaging POI's that make for good end games, and prevent the BR feel like a props were dropped from a helicopter.

8:31 I completely agree. Started to fall out of love with the game at this point. Playing began to feel like a chore done solely to socialize with friends.
This is why Blackout was way ahead of its time. Their POIs were amazing with old kicks like Raid, nuke town and even zombie maps.
M13 with the MP5 in your pocket. M13 was just a lazer and the MP5 hipfire with that speed was so fun.
Nick right about the caldera map potential if hey added poi's blackout was amazing partly because the map it was perfect size bright and colorful with a bunch of great multiplier maps all thrown on a huge map as poi's with little tweaks to them
I agree with you Vanguard when it went down hill. But my favorite meta was the Cold War guns MG82 my personal favorite, AK47, FFAR,Fara 83, OTS9,Mac 10,Diamatti pistol my personal favorite. Ony Resurgence guy tho. Rebirth Island baby!!
FFAR and the kar 98 was my favorite loadout I’ve ever played with. But I came in late and never got the amax unlocked
thats why cold war was such a good time for warzone there were so much options to use unlike now there's like 4 guns that are good in warzone 3

“Jungle” could’ve been incorporated in Caldera easily imo
My two favorite metas ever were Kilo/MP5, and the M16/FFAR.
Also yeah once Vanguard came in… 🥴 F Caldera but at that point I was all in on Rebirth, my favorite guns there were the STG, MP40 and PPSH.
Kilo mp5 was fire 🔥

Warzone Verdansk, quite possibly the best time for gaming for me. Been playing games since 1985! Started on the Atari 2600. The new one is an abomination.
The best was the DMR I dropped a 16 piece on solo trio while my friends were watching and got the DUB‼️ great times‼️

I honestly feel like they should just bring the Warzone 1 servers back online and bring back Verdansk. Apart from Vanguard & Caldera, WZ1 was a lot more enjoyable than this version plus the guns like the Kar98 were sooo much better and it looked more aestheticly pleasing. All they had to do was keep adding and improving on top of what they had done
They are probably using those servers for warzone mobile now. Saves them a lot of money instead of allocating more server space
