    Afremov's artwork is simply beautiful. I love the combination of colors he uses in all of his paintings. He's definitely one of my favorite artists!

    I love Leonid Afremov's painting style, the colours are amazing. I also love his taste in music, so electic, so me! How sad that he died.

    Love your paintings, Mr. Afremov. And your music as well. It's a mix of R&B, Blues, Country and Jazz - aka Reggae - exactly like your paintings and its colours. It goes perfectly well with them, don't worry what anybody else says. It's awesome, too. ;)

      Soy Víctor de Argentina, Adriana, nunca te cansarás de ver las pinturas de Afremov, son increiblemente bellas, llenas de color y movimiento, la espátula en su mano cobra vida, se extiende plasmando todo su talento en el lienzo, yo también lo admiro y de hecho luego de ver sus obras comencé a pintar como autodidacta inspirándome en sus coloridos cuadros.

    No one else sees the face? around 40-59 seconds in...right side of the canvas, where the orange melts with the black, just above is a giant face...Like a spirit was on the otherside of the canvas or something...I wonder if the artist who is painting, recoginzes em....even looks like you can see his ear, and maybe wore glasses...

    is this possible with acrylic paint? i believe you're using oil...but acrylic dries faster so i wonder if i'll get the same effect if i use acrylic. Thanks.

    • @tempsfuit
      @tempsfuit 10 років тому +3

      Perhaps try a slow drying medium..

    • @fullsunsqtpinky9926
      @fullsunsqtpinky9926 9 років тому +3

      You can try making your own version of his work with the use of acrylic. It may not be the same but it has the resemblance. You get me? I tried copying one of his work with the use of oil but i used a paint brush instead of a pallet knife. It turned out fine but not the same as his. We all have different interpretations of things. Don't expect it to turn out exactly the same as what you've copied.

    It is possible, but quite difficult for the finished result to resemble Leonid Afremov's paintings, because acrylics are thinner and dry faster, so you wouldn't have such a smooth application of paint with a palette knife as oil paint.

    which medium you are using to dilute oil paint.

    • @clydejohn5642
      @clydejohn5642 7 років тому

      Santhosh George. He uses thick oil paint. I've seen him paint before and he will actually put a strand of of oil paint on a cardboard scrap to absorb excess liquid. Thin paint he said will be to runny. I think the Bob Ross oil paint will be ideal. The wet on wet method is what is required, a thick paint is what he teaches. watch Leonid Afremov class. He explained why the paint must be thick and not liquidy like so of the inexpensive paints have more filler like Saflower oil or linseed oil.

    I’m a bit confused.
    His recreations are started by his studio artists.
    He only finishes them, so this is not the usual way he do recreations.
    Would love to see what it means in practice that basic coloring done by someone else.

      They scammed me and the scam was obvious. purchased original one off paintings for thousands of pounds but the original one off was nothing like the one on the picture. the so called certificates were wrong as well and most of the paintings were sold as his work but the 'artist" only signed the canvas. When I gave them all the evidence and told them that I will send them to the media, the family gave me full refund not to do so.

    • @jadedelarge8929
      @jadedelarge8929 2 роки тому

      @@forestsprite5914 His son explained in an interview how recreations are made.
      This one in the video was a copy of the original, but still an original because it was painted all by the artist and worth many thousands of dollars. The recreations made by the studio and finished by him and signed are worth a few hundred dollars. This is the way I understand it.
      I was lucky to find one at a thrift shop for less than $20. It could be an original. I do not know. It's beautiful and on my hallway wall.
