We live in Brooklyn and have them in our windows. It works great been using it for over two years and have no complaints. We are fortunate enough to have the TV on the wall by the window.
We used it for about 8 years in Orlando, Florida. It worked so so. We just wanted it to watch the news. We hate cable bills, so this thing served its' purpose.
The biggest key on that antenna working is to be in or very close to the city that has the broadcast tower. It won't work over great distances and many people forget that antennas are directional. I'm using the GE Pro outdoor 70 mile antenna right now and it works great. Of course, it's 24 feet up and aimed in the right direction. Just putting them outside and in the air is not good enough. You have to know what you are doing.
I agree. But I do have to add Ive seen this advertised on tv and they make it look so easy, like it will work anywhere. I was hoping it was more like that :D
I purchased one and it works very well. have tried more expensive ones and homemade ones with little to no results. To those of you out there, do not follow his bad advise. Try it! If it does not work return it.
For me it really didnt work, that was my honest review but I see for some people (perhaps people who live in a bigger city) it may work ok. If you buy it just save your receipt, perhaps you can return if it doesnt work for you.
I believe you! I am in Honolulu living in a bottom floor apartment. Am surrounded for miles by other buildings many of which are high-rises. We cannot just write something off for others because it does no work for you.
I have had no problems with mine. Purchased at Walgreen’s for $15 and change. Get lots of channels including network. It is mounted in a window to a 10 year old tv.
Our towers are about 20 miles away, in the Orlando area. You will see at 3.35 that it recommends being within 25 to 30 miles of the towers. This antenna works just fine for us and is not even near a window. It pulls in about 45 channels just fine, and even some from Melbourne, FL! Better picture than cable even. We will get an amplified antenna to pull in the Melbourne channels better, and maybe even the Tampa and Miami ones. For a cheap antenna this rocks!!
I live in a small town, about 30 miles from the local networks, have no problem getting all the channels with clear. Actually does better than my amplified antenna with less wires and no extra energy cost.
Most people dont know that antennas dont pick up tv signals. The tv itself is the receiver, Rabbit ears are the same as this antenna. You can use two pieces of wire to form a dipole that will work just as good or better. You have to be in the general area, or use a long range directional antenna like the person commenting below.
I purchased the same one and it works ok. We live about 40 to 50 miles from the tower and I only get 4 channels with it. Better than nothing, but I will still look at other options.
@@TUXXREVIEWS The picture quality is very good so far for only using it 10 days. For some reason it seems to work the best on the ceiling. I agree only four channels isn't good and the next tower is about 80 miles from us. That tower only has three channels.
Love the camera angle! I'd have fun trying that with my tremors! The ClearTV has a Facebook advertised range of 50 miles, w/ optional boosters for greater distance. I tried the TVScout, with a dismal zero channels. A couple of weeks ago, while fiddling with the cable to the outside that I used for a previous TV antenna, I connected the cable to my new TV. No antenna. Just a 5' length of coax. And I got 4 channels, not counting the French one. Amazing! Anyway, love your review! Keep it up!!
I bought it and was ok with it until the channels scrambled quite a bit some were ok. I bought a new antenna and all my channels are perfect picture now. I think the signal is to weak.
I tried it and got 3 local PBS educational channels about 10 moles away. But my sister lives near a large city and she got 14 channels. Distance is everything
I live in a small city, less than 20,000 people and approximately 30 miles from the area where the broadcast towers are and using this indoors get plenty of channels...20 to 30 depending on which room we are in.
My brother in law gave me this product yesterday. He tried using this and couldn't pick up any channels. He lives about 55 miles away from Atlanta. I live 38 miles from Atlanta so I tried it. I placed the product on my upstairs window (the window facing Atlanta) and connected it to my bed room TV. It picked up 24 channels. Of the 24 channels, I would say that 14 are very strong signals. I will buy a better antenna soon and see how it works. I'm guessing a better quality antenna will have great results.
I hooked it up to my converter box and it worked I was getting channels until the Clear TV antenna dropped now somehow my converter box doesn't work anymore
I have satellite TV and and an over-the-air antenna. I love both and not getting rid of either of them. But with OTA, get a large outdoor antenna (VHF/UHF) with a rotor. I live in an apartment, and my landlord let me have satellite TV, a large outdoor antenna, an outdoor AM/FM radio antenna, and a SiriusXM antenna all installed outside. I don't think any other landlord would allow that. I also have cable internet as well in which I also stream TV and radio.
I live in Havasu, AZ and am not near any major cities, bout 180 miles away from the nearest one. I tried about 3 dig. antennas with no luck before purchasing this one, needless to say I was very skeptical because of the past experiences but this one works great and I was able to get my major network channels which was my goal, plus a few more. So ide say I get about 12 channels total, I even bought another one for TV in another room. Seems that I get a few less channels on my older flatscreen, and on my newer flatscreen I get a few more. That may also have something to do with the amount of channels Im getting. I have it mounted on the window in both rooms, and its a bit sensitive, if I move it or tilt it away from its 'sweet spot' some channels wont come in. Also I noticed during a monsoon storm channels cut out a bit. So it does take a bit of experimenting to get some reception, but all in all for the price im very happy with it, 12 or so channels with the major networks for only $15 one time suits me just fine. Im ready for football season and have axed cable completely saving some good $$ per month.
i met someone on the net..he makes his own antenna's...i live in Canada..his works GREAT for me...on a bad day i get 23 channels on good day i can get 30...most are USA channels
Sometimes if you live far out enough it's best to just get the basic/cheapest cable package you can get because at least you'll get all the local channels properly with no BS.
I bought the previous version of your example above a couple of years ago, from the same company, and my purchase was completely 'worthless' as well. No frequencies were picked up; so after your review, I will stop watching the loudmouth pitchman for ClearTV. Thanks for your review! I'm still searching for a 'working over the air antenna'. And I live in a metro area.
All HD indoor antenna are the same and you MUST be within 100 Miles of a TV station to get a single. Some boosted outdoor antenna you can pull in stations 150 to 200 Miles.
OMG This Clear Tv work so dam good I had to ditch my cable service I'm tired of paying a cable bill...... For me this thing work soon as I screw it on... & I paid 14.99 at Walgreen & went back and got 4 more
This Antenna does not work. The directions say to "Point the antenna at the nearest satellite dish"? I don't have any neighbors with a satellite dish. I wonder if this is just a way to steal your neighbors signal? Now I am stuck with this antenna I purchased from a TV commercial for $59.00. The customer service number does not work; just tells me to contact the email address! :
Will try. I just purchased Trinity antenna that reaches 60 miles...I'm able to get 42 channels...edit but I do live near a major city about 20 miles south from Chicago
I tried it...it's works okay the same like a regular antenna it's best to get it in person than through the mail by the right price for non-cable and satellite viewers found it at the Dollar Store
I used radioshack rabbit ears antenna with booster,i lived on bottom floor of apartment building I could barely get 1 channel,my windows are on east side of building.
We constantly hav'g to do channel scans and get like 8 channels, then maybe 15.I *hate anything that has a wire(like cell phone chargers) attached to it.We need a Wireless Clear Tv Antenna.
I am totally satisfied with Clear TV I have four televisions in my house flat screens and I purchase Clear TV for all four I do have a larger screen in my den for for the main channels that I cannot pick up on Clear TV but I am totally satisfied with it... I was paying almost $200 a month for cable television now my bill for just one television in the large room is $76 a month whole lot better than 200 for me
Those anntennas dont pick up much but the bunny ears ones pick up a good 15-30 channels depending on your location. It also depends on mile ratios. A 40- 60 mile ratios anntenna i use can pick up channels from quad city to springfield illinois plus sometimes st louis mo. I live near peoria so i can get a good set of channels. I belief the one you use is only a window base antenna with a 10-20 mile ratios. Basicly pointless. Try one with bunny ears. Or a stick antenna
You should do more reviews on antenna's. I have been looking for a good antenna for my area.. and so far not very good luck. ( I get 2 out of 20 channels on my rabbit ear antenna), But i'm looking to get all 20. If you have any recommendations on antenna's you've already reviewed or can find a decent antenna keep in touch with me!
I was happy with the responses on this I will test some others in the future and try to find some good solutions. Cable costs so much! I have a video on "Rabbit tv" in my video list, you may want to try that as a cost effective tv idea too. Thanks for the feedback and checking the video out :D
Mines works fine.. I'm having no problems with it. I kinded like it almost better than that Roku! At least I know it won't be blinking out all the time. 👍
I just got clear tv and so far where l am.. l live near city like New York city.. l have locate tv station. Problem is power and booth. You have to buy extra..
Yes ditch cable TV but keep internet. Also try direct TV now I had that and it was grate. But you have to up your speed to stream 24 7. I think if not direct TV now sling you get ESPN for sports. Yes you have to be in s city to get it working but can get some stations off it outside city.
i have one in the living room and i need one in my bedroom but all the stores around dont sell it anymore :( and i hate ordering over the phone lol with the one i have i get 33 channels so it might be the area you are in . but if you dont want it ill take it off your hands :)
FYI you will NOT receive Cable premium channels. So if that is why you have cable then this product is not for you. You will NOT receive HBO, CINEMAX, or any of the other pay premium channels. Hope this helps. And if anyone knows any products that do please share the wealth. :) lol!
try mohu leaf antenna and see if you can get any channel with HDTV television tuxx do a review on that mohu l eaf antenna they have them at Walmart it a regular antenna not a as seen on. tv

Robert Helring Wow! Thats the best feedback! Help me out on this - do you live in a big city or small? Do you live on a first floor or several floors up? I want to learn from your success.
Help me on this, was it a fan sound or traffic or mic sound? If you can give me a example time where its at its worst please let me know. Lighting and sound is something Im always working on and I do value your opinion.
***** I could be the room I was recording in and its on the mic from the sony camera. Since then I have a new camera (Nice Sony 4K one) with 5.1 mic built in. That may be more to you liking. I'll work on this, Thanks!
try a better indoor antenna tuxx that would work in your area see if best buy or Walmart would have a antenna that would work in your area and HDTV okay tuxx
its junk on basic cable atm figured try it and only got 4 channels out of 70 none of which i watch vs at least 10 taking away all the old crap, not in english, soccer, government channels or tv guide

That is awesome! Thank you for reporting

Does this work on a Samsung Smart Tv ?
It can
Hmmmm. I put mine outside.I live in Vegas. Where I have it placed is a southern exposure. I get between 25 and 32 channels when I do a antennae scan.
That's really good! Time to cut the cable?
Oh I cancelled cable ages ago. Do not miss it at all.
+TUXX REVIEWS did you at least try to put it on a wall or something like it's supposed to be because laying it down obviously isn't going to work lol.

did not get one station ... in northern California, Sacramento area
Same here..I was hopeful it would rock!
Can anyone help me with this antenna? I get 67 channels but when I turn off my t.v I gotta do it all over again why?

they work pretty good if you tie two together with the amplifier
Good tip! I may test this
try to put the antenna at a higher elevation such as the roof mounted with a Stick
That may work.

+Jason Mcneely wow thats better than most! Do you live in a big city?
No I live 15miles from the closest big city
You don't have DTv tv ready ???? :/
you have to stick it up in the window facing SOUTH to SOUTH EAST... What did you expect with it just sitting flat on the table
how many stations sse?if no stations, flat on table just fine
hey is there anything That will work for free for TV or should I Just keep service electric? 140 bucks every month!
Thanks buddy. this helps me a lot. I was looking to buy one on line and you saved me $30
Thanks again.
your welcome

So true! Perhaps a wireless one will be next! :D
Works with 65 channels. Im 15 to 20 miles away from philly
That's the only reason this device works well for you. Thanks !
I am totally satisfied with Clear TV I have four televisions in my house flat screens and I purchase Clear TV for all four I do have a larger screen in my den for for the main channels that I cannot pick up on Clear TV but I am totally satisfied with it... I was paying almost $200 a month for cable television now my bill for just one television in the large room is $76 a month whole lot better than 200 for me
Most antenna products are pretty good at giving their optimal range. Was the range listed on yours?
Im sorry I dont see on box (see in video in case I missed)
i guess this only works in the USA?
no one does analog anymore a few where I live , maybe that's the you didn't pick up any channels. I think they still sell Dtv box
+ramcool2 same -- no signals. It may work good in a major city
Does it get premium channels?
Do you know anything about "TV Bandit" just saw that one and was wondering.
Mine works great I live in the balto/wash area gets 15 channels clear, great color I see a lot of money being saved..........
Maybe that's reason you didn't pick up any channels. I think they still sell Dbox. or buy new tv cx
+ramcool2 HI, I use comcast for tv, I just bought this to see if it worked. Atleast in my area it doesn't work.
+Tuxx Toys Haha , sorry I got carried away cx
Damn he talks too much. Get to the point.
I bought one today at Walgreen's. It does work
Thats awesome!
Well l am using the Clear TV X-71 antenna in New York City and receive 37 channels. It has to be your location.
Yea, like you have to be with-in a few miles of a TV tower. Thanks for your honesty.
You need a converter box
How do i get this on line
Buy yours here - amzn.to/2mnhvvH
Those anntennas dont pick up much but the bunny ears ones pick up a good 15-30 channels depending on your location. It also depends on mile ratios. A 40- 60 mile ratios anntenna i use can pick up channels from quad city to springfield illinois plus sometimes st louis mo.
I live near peoria so i can get a good set of channels. I belief the one you use is only a window base antenna with a 10-20 mile ratios. Basicly pointless. Try one with bunny ears. Or a stick antenna
I live in the city and it doesn't work does not to work at all
Thanks Laurel!
thx for the input, I not going to buy one..
I wish they make something like picking up all channels all over the U.S that's would cool. I heart tv cx haha !
+ramcool2 I agree!
Np problem, Thank you for the suggestion! I will check it out!
Mines works fine.. I'm having no problems with it. I kinded like it almost better than that Roku! At least I know it won't be blinking out all the time. 👍

Thats AWESOME! How many channels!
I DO HAVE IT , AND IT WORK PERFECT , WHERE I LIVE I GOT 42 CHANNELS. ALL FREE OF CHARGE. I CUT DOWN MY CABLE BILL.
Wow - Im happy it did work for me. I may retest this, perhaps I got a defective one?
FYI you will NOT receive Cable premium channels. So if that is why you have cable then this product is not for you. You will NOT receive HBO, CINEMAX, or any of the other pay premium channels. Hope this helps. And if anyone knows any products that do please share the wealth. :) lol!
Correct - this is for broadcast tv only.
I'm very rural and I got 7 stations. It tells you to move the antenna around and rescan.
wow, better than me. Nice!

eaf antenna they have them at Walmart it a regular antenna not a as seen on. tv
Rip man thanks for the review
You're welcome!
Thanks for saving me $15 dude.
Thks for sharing
It depends on where you live. It works better in downtown cities. It picks up more signal on windows. In a hilly area, you can try a Clear TV Amplifier.
Here's the link for Clear TV Parts.
