It’s not often that it does work! YT does its best to send us down the wrong rabbit holes. Take your time when working the bolt. Make sure that it stays square to the sides. And remember, when in doubt stop and go try it out! Good luck on the project!
Looks good. The best mod you did was square off the bolt face and set headspace at .044". You really need to glass bed that stock. The magpul X22 stock greatly benefits with a good bedding job. There's an easy way to do that too. You really need a new barrel though, as the chamber end, where the lands start, looks horrible!!! Also, do yourself a favor and buy a target hammer kit from Volquartsen. That will help immensely..
I am going to bed the stock. Probably in the spring. There have been several times that I've flexed the stock and missed the shot. With how ugly that chamber looks, it's surprisingly accurate with eley outlaw. So instead of replacing the barrel I'll try my hand at building a tac driver later this year.
25 ILB looks promising. Some of the new jacketed upper cut rounds may help with the burrs. Be worth a try anyway. The tapered jacket on those is fairly thick toward the rear so if it's a flake burr those should knock it off. Another enjoyable video.
I’ll have to track some down. I’ve tried cci, stingers and thunderbolts as well hoping the copper might peel them. It might take a little more dedication 😉

Having a much lighter trigger under 2 pounds and a quality bull barrel will do wonders for your set up.
