Maybe, you should make your mummy proud of you, by going to school, and learning the difference, between band(brass or silver, and musical or metal) and banned(stopped from doing something), as well as the difference, between to(go to) and too(which means, as well), and generally round off your education……….
Because, you can make time for going fishing, through your whole life, but unless you’re intending to be a commercial fisherman, which takes a decent education, especially if you intend to be a skipper, otherwise you’ll need your education to earn the money to be able to go fishing for fun………..

Keep a notebook Nev, write down dates, moon phases and weather, including wind direction when you go fishing, after a while patterns will emerge as to when it's better to go fishing.... In saying that, any day fishing is better than most other things !!! 😁 Happy New Year mate...

Hey nev, can never go wrong with a full pilchard. Have caught sizable kings, mulloway, flatties up to 76, and bream on the bait. Sometimes they just want a simple snack rather than a livebait/soft plastic

Hey Nev, Happy New Year. Question: are those outrigger pods any good? You seem to have them mounted a little higher than the water line. A hardbody fishing kayak is pretty stable anyway. If you mount them lower to the water do they provide much extra stability?
Outriggers are great, have them thay high because it wasn’t too rough and when peddling they create drag

when you fish for snapper what is the ideal type of place like a hole or really deep down and do you know if you can find them in fnq
Mate, the snapper Nev is catching are a cold water fish, you won’t be finding them in northern Qld. Nev has a fish finder/plotter so he probably has a few favourite spots marked so he can return to them, each spot will have something special like some structure where the predatory fish can more easily find smaller fish to eat. These snapper do love to eat prawns and crabs too. As far as tips go I think you should always try to think like a fish, where is the most likely place a predator is going to ambush a smaller prey item.
