- Little things are starting to happen that require attention. One of those were the windscreen wipers needed replacement (which was literally a 5 minute job). The other is the leaking washer bottle.
It's been happening more frequently lately where mid-drive my windscreen washer level warning would pop up. So i'd fill up to find that the next day there's a big puddle of water under the right hand sidfe of the car and the washer bottle low warning came back on along with the annoying beep warning.
Replacing the gaskets is relatively simple but be prepared to fork out much more than you think these things would be. Especially the larger gasket - which was a big difference price compared to the smaller two.
Part numbers are:
7M0 919 382 - water level sensor gasket
443 955 465 - xenon washer motor gasket
431 955 465A - windscreen washer motor gasket

Nicely done. I've got the same problem in the same place so I'm assuming it's the 431 955 465a which is the very bottom gasket. Lets see if it's an easy fix when the part arrives.
Yeah it's relatively easy. Take the wheel off (don't be lazy like me) and it'll be a breeze. 👌
Quick update, my problem turned out to be the pump not the gasket. I proved this out with some carefully placed PTFE tape around the end of the pump nozzle. It still leaked and seemed to be from slightly higher than the connection. New pump, no problem. A quick and easy fix
@@WhatsWithIn oh ok. So the actual pump had a leak ? And not sure to the gasket it sits in?
Thanks for the video. Do you think it's possible to access the screen wash reserviour just by locking out the wheel or is jacking the car up a must?
Hey Tommy. Definitely want to jack the car up. You will make the job 20x harder without doing so.
Do you know if the washers have a relay,my pump stopped working so I changed it for a new one,now the new one he's stopped working and blows the fuse every time I press for the washer to spray
😱 that sucks. I'd have to check the WD to know if there's a relay but I'm thinking it'd be content lled through the central elextric control module/body control module.
