So grateful to have such a great educator who does not withhold anything ❤❤❤❤❤ I have the new leafgel supreme gel. I’m going to give it a try. I love the look of chrome but I’m always worry about the longevity of it. Would you recommend a base gel before the leafgel supreme for better adhesion?

I have been successful with chrome on my own nails thanks to your suggestions and tips. However I have a client who always files her nails down 2 weeks in before coming to see me and she complains that chrome or even glitter chips. I explained her that by filing it down herself she breaks the seal I created and then chipping happens. However if you have any tips to apply to such a client who files down her nails by herself mid service I would greatly appreciate it
You are on target with the explanation you give her. I have no further suggestions unfortunately, that will happen. Maybe she can wait to do that the week she’s coming to see you, so that she doesn’t have a chipped many for too long.
My clients that I use a soft builder gel as the chrome works great on. But clients who just wear their natural nails with chrome over gel polish seem to shatter over a few weeks. Has anyone else experienced this?
Yes because gel polish is a hybrid product of polish ingredients and gel making it thinner in viscosity and also not very shock absorbent like a “rubber base”

How do you know if the base gel you’ve used is ready for the chrome powder? Should it be a bit sticky still?

Have you used chrome after mega stick and excel builder? Or do you always use NTB (talking about Kokoist)??
Do you still finish file with your old and newest chrome techniques?
Once the chrome goes on I would only loosen up the sides of my finished manicure w a thin emery board.

Every time I seal with a base coat, it takes away from the mirror look. This is every time I add basecoat to seal.
It shouldn’t. Something is up with the burnishing gel you use or your cure, or both :(
