Thank you so much for reacting to this song. I am Paul’s daughter, Rhiannon Autumn, and yes you were right that is my name! I thought it was funny watching this video, I am amazed by the many many things that you had guessed correctly about my life growing up just through this short piece of art. But I am now 16 years old, living with my dad full time, and happier than i’ve ever been. Thank you for the wonderful feedback, we all appreciate it so much.
I've been in love with ND for a long time. Your father's voice and lyrics are incredible, and they has a permanent spot on many of my more personal, alone-time playlists. The Pale Haunt Departure is one of my favorite albums of all time and to me, an expression of pure genius. Thank you for inspiring him into being such a great artist! 🤝
Hey, thanks so much for doing a reaction video to one of our songs and your kind words! My buddy Jose sent me a link to this tonight and Larry and I just watched it. We both play guitar in Novembers Doom. We're happy you two liked the song and had some great observations about the themes in the video. I'll send this to the other band members. Thanks again!
Hell yeah he kept requesting and never gave up. He picked a song that i covered a lot back in the day with 1 of my old bands. Another 1 i covered is Twilight Innocence. Both songs were written for Paul Kuhr's daughter Rhiannon.
Thanks so much for this, glad you enjoyed it and took the time to listen and share your thoughts. It's really interesting hearing your impressions of the song and the video! And no worries, both Paul (vocals) and his daughter Rhiannon are doing very well! Cheers to you both.
Glad you liked it! The good news is the last I've read about it the daughter who he wrote the song for is alive and doing well. Her middle name is Autumn. The part with him dying must related to some health problems he has which don't have any known cure and he's reflecting upon his own mortality and what it would mean to leave his child behind. It is a big part of why it is such a special song for me as well.
Oh there you are man. I just saw your comment down at the bottom of my list.... way to keep the request going. Good on you man!! Hopefully they will react to some more of their music.
So I have a confession.... I had never listened to this song. I just saw that you always wanted them to listen to this one song. So I knew it had to be something special. I got to say this is a very touching song. Also, the lead singer, Paul Kuhr, has a daughter named Rhiannon Autumn, so yes the song title is named after her. As far as I can tell, she's very much alive and has even done some guest vocals on a few songs.
Agreed. Though being a *Katatonia* fan since their debut in 1993 (Novembers [sic] Doom got their debut out in 1995), _they_ have always been my favourite "Melancholic" band. Funny thing, Jonas of Katatonia and Paul of Novembers Doom have similar (but not the same) voices... Coincidence... OR DARK FORCES??? ;)
Novembers Doom is a very solid band. They’ve been at it for a long time. Paul’s a really good vocalist. Sings really well and his harsh vocals are really good. They’re brutal sounding but he enunciates really clearly. Check out the song, “Buried”, for a very inspired vocal performance.
Wow! I can’t thank you enough @vinandsori Desiccant is going to be SOOO HAPPY you reacted to this! You’re good people for making this happen for him, thanks guys ❤️
Well Vin, I have some news that might warm your heart to know. This song is about Paul's (the vocalist) daughter, you got that much right. Autumn is her middle name, her first name is Rhiannon. As far as I know she is doing well, and if you want to hear her sing with her dad she did vocals on their last album. Check out the song Zephyr. #WebbWeek
17:05 this reminds me sooo much about my own daughter... everytime i came home from work and pull up on the parking lot when she was little, the front door would swoop open and she was running towards me shouting "daddy i missed you so much" and jump into my arms.... to me thats the best thing in life and nothing can top the feeling you get from that :)

Paul Kuhr, the vocalist for this band, wrote this song for his daughter Rhiannon Autumn (so yes, Autumn is her middle name). Rhiannon has since gone on to start singing herself, including a couple guest vocal tracks on later Novembers Doom albums. I only recently got into this band, so I don't know their whole story but the little that I have read about them has been interesting. Also, the band is freaking awesome. You should definitely check out more Doom metal. My favorite are the more melancholic ones like this band, Swallow the Sun, and My Dying Bride (who you have already kinda touched months ago). Well worth checking them out, at the very least. Other forms of Doom range from grandiose (Candlemass) to almost oppressively nihilistic (Electric Wizard) so it's definitely not the easiest sub-genre to get into, but it is one of the most often overlooked.
You guys are Great! I'm so glad you got to hear him. November's Doom. I'm glad Paul Kuhr is making music. I have a family friend with a very similar cripplingly spinal problem and I see their pain and forced way of life.

Like Green Carnation-Light of Day, Day of Darkness this song has alot of weight behind it. Especially as it pertains to a father and their relationship to their child. Chris Cornell - Seasons
I like that you at least recognize and admit that it is an emotionally compromised 10 :>
Type O Negative - Bloody Kisses!
Alcest- Ecailles de Lune part 1&2
Whitechapel has some new tracks about Phils life with his mother at a young age very moving and brave for this guy suggest Hickory Creek or When A Demon Defiles A Witch.🤘
Wither - The human condition
Noice!!! Truly underground band...PS: They can get REALLY death metal.
Now do “Winter” by Oceans of Slumber!! Hopefully someone on Patreon can advocate for this! Or Entheos!
Helloween ☆ Keeper of the seven keys 🎃
When we getting more Draconian? :) Pale Tortured Blue would be great :) it's been long enough.
Next doom reaction should be Trees Of Eternity - Eye of Night. Or maybe Saturnus - Christ Goodbye.

Idk how you feel about them, but would really like you to react to Deftones!! Preferably My Own Summer, Headup, or Be Quiet and Drive (Far Away). Thank you!!
