Loved this episode 🧡✨ I feel the same, and it took me a long time to stop feeling guilty about it and just embrace it! Wanting to be a wife and a mother IS a noble aspiration, it’s all I’ve ever wanted and knowing that that’s okay has helped me feel so content in my life 🥰
@Vanille des orient not completely though.. see if a person chooses to be a housewife then they would be doing atleast the cooking part of the household chores which means no cook for the house which is equivalent to a paid cook so it's technically a job but being paid in kind.likewise a mother is both a nanny and a cook cause if she is working she will be employing both these people. But yes if someone just wants to sit back and do nothing that is wrong.
Wow! First person I’ve seen on UA-cam talking about this. And I agree with you 1000%. I am the same I hated school and dropped out of college. I hate till this day anyone dominating me in a work place so I don’t work for anyone. And my life is soo peaceful no depression no stress no anxiety. I am living my best life. I also enjoy being around the house and doing “housewife” things. I’m soo happy you spoke about this! And I’m from a western country. So it’s like a taboo subject here to not work and be a family women as a female. More power to you 🙌🏻
9:34 I completely understand what you are saying Purvi. But as a Feminist I want to say that Feminism is all about having the right to choose what YOU want regardless of your gender. Idk 🤷♀️ who came up with this toxic side of feminism or woke culture but if a male/female/anyone wants to choose what they want to be in their life, they should have every damn right to do so without any judgment. I feel like that is the real feminism. I too chose not to blindly follow the toxic work culture and now want to pursue something that makes me feel ALIVE, gives me serotonin and not a headache.
Sooo true. I stopped caring after I found my husband. He encouraged me to do whatever I like but he said personally he thinks being a housewife is one of the most noble 'professions'. And I was like thank god.
First, I want to acknowledge that making this video and sharing something personal must be scary, and that takes courage. I do want to emphasize a few things. First, feminism is not about having a job or a career. Feminism is about *having the CHOICE to do that*. It's not having to be a housewife by default. It should empower women to CHOOSE what they want for their lives. Not every woman needs to be a CEO, but those who want to do it, should be able to do it and not be hindered by the boxes or constraints society puts women in. So, if you're going to be a housewife by CHOICE, I say congratulations and all the power to you. Because you can choose what you want for your life. Just like no one should shame women for wanting careers, they shouldn't shame women for wanting to be a housewife. Second, I think implying that being a housewife or a mother is part of a woman's innate biology/purpose is wrong and untrue. Not every woman desires to bear children, and that's okay. More importantly, some women *cannot get pregnant and struggle with fertility issues*. Does that make them less of a woman? It does not. Third, don't bring yourself down and say you aren't intelligent just because you didn't do well in school or want a career. There are many kinds of intelligence; school/memorization is just one of them. Last but not least, just like it is wrong to shame you or any woman for wanting to be a housewife, I think it's wrong to say that those who want a career or go to university are basically obedient robots to be used. If you want to do well in whatever it is you decide to do, even the simplest of jobs have rules and regulations that need to be followed in order to be succesful
Omg Purvi.. you are soo brave.. soo brave for accepting your femininity.. deciding your own journey.. in a society where people looks down upon homemakers is soo toxic and disturbing.. i wish people understand that a woman being a homemaker is as empowering as a woman persuing her dream outside the house.. and there is nothing wrong with either of them..
Hey this was a really really great video and I really respect your opinions and infact I totally agree with that. But I don't know where you live but I live in a very rural area and feminism for me is not about being a hero or conquering the entire world. It just helps me to atleast have the basic rights that the males over here enjoy like studying ( I like it not to get a job but I genuinely enjoy studying genetics and biotechnology), wearing what you want, getting to have an opinion in important matters. I've seen that many people in the big cities say that feminism is trash because y'all from good educated societies but nobody thinks about girls like me who are not even given the right to have an opinion on anything and who are forcefully married off to a totally random stranger and when they are in a toxic relationship in which the husband beats the wife... she's not even allowed to speak and get a divorce. (You may think that this doesn't happen nowadays but trust me it happens and some part of it is my mom's story.)
I do understand what you're talking about and that's why I don't promote inequality. The problem is, most feminists on social media are living in first world countries with a privileged background & are using "feminism" for their personal benefit rather than the benefit of a society. The war between the two genders has been going on for a long time & the war will keep going on if both the genders keep trying to overpower each other. The only way out is to understand the importance of both the genders together... in harmony with one another. The feminine doesn't have to become masculine.. the masculine doesn't have to become feminine. Like fire & water.. both are different but both have absolute power. It may sound idealistic.. but I genuinely don't see any other way to deal with this gender problem.
Please dont cry!! U always amaze me with ur perceptions towards everything on earth. I watch ur videos esp chai talks when I feel low/de motivated/depressed.... U r like a breath of fresh air ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Baby I relate to this so much. We are animals and the purpose of our lives is to survive, procreate and carry on the evolution. People who are blinded by the social conditioning spend their whole lives trying to figure out the purpose of their lives as if they are something higher than what they actually are. I am so proud of you that you came out like this. It is so sad that embracing what we actually are is looked down upon but some of us who has seen the bigger picture knows that it is impossible to go back to the blindness once you have seen the light. I wish you all the best and thank you for this empowering video.
"the females in the animal kingdom are doing exactly what their biology is telling them to do" (7:04) What are you trying to imply with this statement? That women are biologically hardwired to only do one single thing? and what might this "thing" be? It seems like you are hinting at the fact that being a housewife is coded into women's DNA rather than simply a personal choice. I really don't like the implications of that statement. Being a housewife is a choice not a biological mandate. You have a right to do what makes you happy, but don't try to use "biology" as justification for what is simply a preference. It puts other woman down by insinuating that woman in the workplace is somehow "unnatural"
it really annoys me when anybody uses the biology argument. the whole reason humans have advanced so much, the reason we haven't died out thousands of years ago, the reason we live past 30 etc is LITERALLY because we WENT AGAINST biology. thats like the whole point of "advancement"
@@thiswillnotdo6027 Exactly. We are not wild animals anymore, we have advanced and have the agency to make decisions that are not based purely on instinct. Women are not "biologically hardwired" to be housewives, and its a bit sexist to even imply such and absurd thing which is what annoyed me about this video
I was born in a traditional Bengali Muslim parents who had migrated in England. But I never really understood Islam. Especially because it contradicted with the society I grew up. Married and two kids later, the past couple of years I have become what I like to call a “philosophical Muslim”. Philosophy engages me. And I found everything islam teaches, resonates with my philosophical being. I then started getting into perfumes and came across you. I was disappointed when you stopped the fragrance videos. And now I wish you had more of THESE videos. Every single video you have done resonates with my philosophical being, my ‘natural disposition’ you might say. And actually, it’s been enlightenments facilitated, for myself, by Islam. Watching these videos of you returning to your own innate nature is inspiring and moving. I relate to every word you say. You are blessed ❤️
Let me share my experiences of how I enlightened myself lol, it was after learning about birth chart, I've learnt everyone is different even the twins. Every damn sec is important as it make differences yet we are trying to live in specific way, how most of the people follows. That's what's went wrong from the moment we are born because what I think and my parents think is different obviously but we are forced to think like our parents, our friends, the society and what more? whole world? And this is the reason I don't want to be a mother, I don't want to force my idea to anyone. Even if we decide to have a kid and believe that we will just make them do whatever and however they want and have them their own ideas, unknowingly we are putting our own ideas into our child with our decisions.
I love you girl! if you don’t know Teal Swan you sould look her up she talks about this too... ‘the modern world promisses women EVERYTHING but it doesn’t tell you it will be you doing it all’...

You can be whatever you want to be unless you're not hurting anybody, okay? @@semzip8558 yeah, having a conversation is fine but when you're claiming something to be your value system and core beliefs those have to be justified. She is young, she'll learn soon enough that Peterson caters to incels.
@@semzip8558 worse, Peterson tries to pass as a scholar and political thinker without having critical thought about any subject. Isn't it interesting that in Islam men are responsible for providing for their families, and women do not have to work...
Same in the other two abrahamic faiths (Christianity and Judaism) 👍🏽
