It totally caught me by surprise when I first watched it in 2007. I later found out Chris didn't want to continue, he had other projects (and stunning projects they were!) - but he wasn't sulky and was totally game for a proper exit so came back for the exit - what an exit! Has any comedy ever topped this? [if they have, I can't wait to see it!]
Well, they did nail the IRL version: "It has not been easy for me. And you know I started off in Brooklyn, my father gave me a small loan of a million dollars."
They must have neglected the fact that the show Seinfeld had already provided a sort of ready stock of potential cast members to draw from, for example (depending on flexibility WRT age range, of course). I'm particularly reminded of the Steinbrenner caricature voiced by Larry David. In a way, it's even funnier in my mind to imagine, say, Michael Richards portraying the "physical form" of Denholm with Larry David providing the voice. Might even help ratchet up the lunacy another notch. 😄
I laugh every time he names the A Team. And at pretty much every other scene he’s in. God, I wish we could have another dozen or so seasons of the IT Crowd
@Zedrik Allen Morris landed the role and starred in the first series and one episode of the second series, in which the character had to be killed off due to Morris' unavailability because of his work on other shows.
Freaking love this show and especially Denholm! Favorite character aside from Moss! I think the "Jen is dead" speech and his video eulogy are tied for my favorite Denholm moments of all 🤣🤣 Chris Morris is fantastic.
I doubt they "got rid" of Chris Morris. He's an absolute legend in British comedy and pretty much never appears in shows that he didn't have a hand in writing. He probably just agreed to do a certain number of episodes.
First time I heard "The Jewlery Man" for B.A. Baracus I almost dropped from my chair and it cracks me up every single time since. The timing of Morris is divine.
Denholm talking to his computer. Remember Star Trek movie where Scotty goes back to our time earth and tries to talk to computer and someone hands him a mouse and he says a keyboard? How quaint,,!
He probably had the greatest character exit in narrative history.
Agree

The Young Ones, Summer Holiday, final episode: hold my beer…
“So, first day... scary!”
“Yes.”
“Don’t be scared.”
“I’m not really scared.”
“YOU SHOULD BE!”
“I am a little bit scared.”
“WELL DON’T BE!!!”
make up your mind...
HAHAHA
so here we are
Roy: I'm stealing food from this machine.
Denholm: AHAHAHAHAH, YOU KNOW I DO
Super glad the American version never got green-lit, they absolutely ruined his character by not making him a lunatic.
Well, they did nail the IRL version: "It has not been easy for me. And you know I started off in Brooklyn, my father gave me a small loan of a million dollars."
The American version was absolute trash...
Im glad i didnt even know there was american version
@@mattfield3371Jordan Shanks thinks otherwise

never before have I laughed so hard at suicide- that's the genius of Chris Morris at work
heavily inspired by The Hudsucker Proxy scene.
Chris Morris single-handedly upgraded British comedy in the early 90s. Genius.
maybe not single handedly, but yes, indeed he must have
Well, ok, he has two hands, but the point remains@@muhammadsaadmansoor7777
From 3:47 Katherine Parkinson's acting was fabulous. Those facial expressions 😂 and that balloon 🤣
I laugh every time he names the A Team. And at pretty much every other scene he’s in. God, I wish we could have another dozen or so seasons of the IT Crowd
Love the reference to the Professionals there in particular.
The jewelry man!
FOUR DEAD CYCLISTS, ALL MY FAULT!
videogamenostalgia hahahaha
"Hello, Hello, Hello Computer."
Vegetarian Soylent-Green HELLO, HELLO!
Somewhere in a laft, in Scotlund.
Elevun. Ulavun! Uhlaven! ALEVEN!
FREEDOM!!
why did they kill him off ?? He was one of the best characters ahaha
Definitely
you have to admit they kill him in the best comedian way and it was on point. the trama was good.
@Podcast - SørenCast Z Matt Berry is also a comedic genius though
@Zedrik Allen Morris landed the role and starred in the first series and one episode of the second series, in which the character had to be killed off due to Morris' unavailability because of his work on other shows.
@Zedrik Allen what happened
The stress episode was genius
sheiladmj definitely one of my faves
Thats stress episode is the definition of zero tolerance school policy and helicopter parenting
The Jewelry Man is my favorite
Bodie,Doyle,tiger,the jewelry man so funny
During the time it has taken me to type out this comment, 80 million people have died of stress.
STRESS!!
"The jewelry man" maybe my favourite line from him
It's not that he jumps out the window, it's that he manages to do it in a matter of fact way😄
'You delicious bastard' is a phrase I often use now!
Missing the scene when woke up with Richmond after the party.
ARE YOU SURE?!!! ARE YOU SURE?!!! ARE YOU SURE?!!! ARE YOU SURE?!!! ARE YOU SURE?!!! ARE YOU SURE?!!!
Denholm was the best character, and they kill him off right at the beginning of the second season.
agree!
But it made the best meme in the history of memes!
They just had to replace him with that other guy who is always trying to hit on girls and he is not funny!
No way, Renholm is way funnier
It was so sudden and random, I was wondering if it was real. I liked Denhold a lot better than Douglas.
Why did they kill off Denhold though...
There is absolutely no one who could play denholm as well as him
He should have been the CEO of every season.
Chris Morris is a god-given blessing! He’s wonderful.
You forgot when he woke up with Richmond
Can't believe you've cut "I'm late for golf!"
Freaking love this show and especially Denholm! Favorite character aside from Moss!
I think the "Jen is dead" speech and his video eulogy are tied for my favorite Denholm moments of all 🤣🤣
Chris Morris is fantastic.
For a company that makes 1200000000000000000000 pounds, they sure do party at a tiny establishment.
Saving money is how they make so much.
Lol. Ever worked for a big company? ;)
This Dude was THE funniest part of this show i was so pissed when They got rid of him after just the first few episodes.
Agree!
He didn't make the show... you're exaggerating a tad... his nephew's a twat, but more entertaining.
That Random Guyーさん yeah he didn't make the show but he's better than Douglas
Moss made the show, how dare you
I doubt they "got rid" of Chris Morris. He's an absolute legend in British comedy and pretty much never appears in shows that he didn't have a hand in writing. He probably just agreed to do a certain number of episodes.
Bodie, Doyle, Tiger, The Jewellery Man...
«YOU LYING COW!»
Chris Morris is a genius
Do you feel stress now , Jen?, Jen?, JEN!, JEN!, JEN!
What about Douglas meeting Denholm in "heaven" with Hitler?
I love how he uses his whole face to ask "Are you sure?"
First time I heard "The Jewlery Man" for B.A. Baracus I almost dropped from my chair and it cracks me up every single time since. The timing of Morris is divine.
If I was an actor I would die to play that role!!!
This is my favourite comedy show of all time.... LOVE IT!
RIP Mr Reynholm
The funniest program I've ever seen wish that there was more
He was ahead of his time, shoud've patented it. Woud be funny, "hello" instead of "ok google" or "Alexa", a slight chaos...
In fact I changed my mind about the whole thing!
When he slaps Roy's face running round the staff so funny
Season 1 was the greatest. Broke the wall of cowardice. Sweet... Sweet smokey.. Air as we make no noises.
Damn He was my favorite character.... never knew why He went out....
One of the greatest comedy series ever. In particular that first series with Chris Morris was golden.
Great compilation man, really funny and well put together 👍🏻
The moment he jumped out that window I knew I'm gonna miss him.
That Doc Martens scene is priceless!! 😂😂
Team, team, team!
Denholm talking to his computer. Remember Star Trek movie where Scotty goes back to our time earth and tries to talk to computer and someone hands him a mouse and he says a keyboard? How quaint,,!
Hello, computer!
Denholm was better than doublas but they were both great imo
I see. Team works is very important.
0:18 such an lovely ZAZ/Airplane tribute
I still don't know how a hilarious character like him go away too soon from this serie
My American ass is so glad they put this fantastic show on our Netflix lmao.
Denholm is funnier than Douglas.
Autobot Commander Ironhide and better looking
@urgiduurrgghh You do not ever get to call Ayoade annoying ever.
@urgiduurrgghh you are wrong on the most basic level
Nice screensaver!
Chris Morris is a fucking treasure
The second part where he yells at the computer and points 😂😂😂😂
ah ah a stress machine !!?
The original, the father (literally) what a legendary character, shame he had to die from “smoking” 😔
Bodie, Doyle, Tiger, the jewellery man 😂😂😂
Like they killed my father, my father's father, my mother's father, my mother, AND her father.
7:11 🤣🤣
and leave me alone ya goblin!
He's fucking amazing
I always found him wierdly attractive :)
His whole screen time 😂
HA HA! YOU KNOW I DO!
RIP Denholm :)
“4 dead cyclists, all my fault!” 😅😂😂
His company make billion billion but still messing with pension fund
"...but as you know, in the end, I jumped out of a window."
I never noticed the Mondrian in Denholm's office, he's was loaded.
this character? Brilliant!
Just need the apple video and this is a masterpiece
40 people will get fired at the end of this video.
Bodie Doyal the professionals 😅
Nice screensaver lol
I'm disabled, leg disabled
What song was Denholm singing at 7:07?
DID YOU SERIOUSLY CUT BEFORE "I'M LATE FOR GOLF"?
one of thge greatest fictional characters of all time IMO
The problems are always on Floor 4. As in Channel 4. Brilliant.
Denholm and Phil Ken sebben from Harvey Birdman attorney at law would make the most chaotic multi trillion dollar corporation.
0:33 make up your mind 😂
Leave me alone, you goblin!
So he was basically live action phil ken sabbin😂
Something tells me Denholm didn't actually fire anyone, and there was just a bunch of confused people on the other end of the phone
What's the song @ 6:54?
The tune is "Fantasy Island" by Tight Fit. It sounds like a muzak version of it...
I think it’s Disco Revue by The Kosinus Disco Gang…
@@markgoodell3815 That’s it! Thanks man! 👍
@@donkhorse I’m glad to help! …Sorry it took 5 years to get back to you!!
Being caught for irregularities in your pension fund is indeed stressful...
The jewellery man pmsl
7:08 What did Denholm say?
BEST EXIT EVER
I don't remember this character 🤔 Guess he must've been in it before Matt Berry 😂
Clap him, man! 👏 🎌
Now leave me alone you goblin 💀💀💀💀💀💀🐐🐐🐐🐐
1:43 Is this a Star Trek reference?
YOU CUT BEFORE "I'M LATE FOR GOLF?!"
7:50 the best portrait of elon musk before he was even known
Just posted a similar thought, had to delete when I saw yours.
