The Jewish people had two objections about God and their relationship with Him: (1) It’s not my fault, and (2) God is not fair. How similar to our own day! Many people have a low view of personal responsibility and a high view of God being at fault for their circumstances. God addresses these two issues in Ezekiel 18, and we come to the clear conclusion that God is better than fair and that we must take responsibility for our own sins in order to experience the mercies of God.

Yes! I have been having major issues with the story of Christ after studying the Old Testament. I'm afraid Jesus deceived everyone to place himself on the throne of God. God forgive me if I'm wrong, but when I read the Old Testament, that is what I see. The New Testament is blasphemy

@@amyrenee1361 I have read and the way I understand it is that God is talking about physical death here, not eternal death because this was under the Mosaic covenant with laws. The old testament makes references to Jesus, the Messiah, thousands of years before, and it all happened just exactly as it was told that it would, even in Genesis. Hope this helps you. Have you accepted Jesus as your savior? Ask God for wisdom, to help you with understanding where you're troubled. I believe he will.

@@melodysanders4503 yes. As you mentioned, these are prophesies from the old testament. We study it amd we find revelations after revelations about Jesus. Jesus is everywhere in the old testament, starting from the 1st book and the very 1st verse itself. We see it when we rise above the 3 physical dimensions.

Ezekiel 36 is a prophecy, but about a time before jesus, when they rebuilt Israel after coming back from Babylon exile.
After the time of jesus Israel is destroyed, as such it does not fit.
