I don't care how good CS2 looks, CS 1.6, CSS and zero are simply the best childhood CS I've ever played.

Would be great if they could remaster the series from beginning.
It seems like games like MK1 and CS2 are suffering from misconception that realistic graphics = better. They lost the charm from the original games. Maybe the game was better with the "FIRE IN THE HOLE!" non-realistic lighting, green text, badass looking weapons, scary looking T-side characters, and fun maps. CS2 sucks ass.

I've been thinking about the whole "gaming era" and I've come to the comprehension that games that were fire in our times, wouldn't necessarily be struck as "fire" or lit in the eyes of the new generation, hence why imperfect games like CSS/CS1.6/CSZ wouldn't've been successful as much as they were in early 2000's, had those games came out in 2023. Though I might be wrong on this one.. though that's what I think.

In the c4 explosion you should have used Dust2 since in the 1.6 version the boxes actually explode unlike the sequels & other maps
Counter-Strike:Source has very detailed c4 explosions on maps like Inferno and Train

Those voices "Bomb has been planted" and more have been carried over years and give nostalgic vibe
I still prefer CS 1.6 to CS2

well, what did you expect from 2000?
earlier years of gaming, things should be good. Today it doesn't have to be good. it can just look cool and people are overwhelmed and sais it's good.
CS 1.6 beats cs2 at everything but graphics and cool effects. The hostages and that can save four and not just one, that they can be killed and not take unlimited damages was good.
The m4a1 looks much better in cs 1.6 and is way better than in cs:Go and cs2, the sounds of guns, and sound in general is much much better in cs 1.6.
So they still have room for more to improve, maybe unreal engine 5 CS remastered 1.6 will be the next big thing in esport. because from the videos iv'e seen looks much better than cs:go and CS2.
This is what people would really wanna see in the next gen CS.

Honestly, I don't care which CS to play, as a child I adored Sours and Condishion Zero, the first for a certain realism and I don't know, well, just some kind of love for this part, and Zero, for the plot, because already in the years of my childhood there were Call of Duty, Medal of Honor and Battlefield, and yet, comparing completely different games by engine and many mechanics is not very cool.
after 20 years they made a game that will be as good as 1.6 i belive (needs old movement tho)
