So here’s my concern, rhino rack offers a couple of options for us Jeep two door owners, one is the racks that attach to the rain gutters OR the one that attach to the hard top behind the doors,, either way only provides a closely spaced arrangement that is not very good for carrying longer kayaks or canoes , (ie 12-14’). As you know the hard top doesn’t have rain gutters so what rhino kits (if any) are available so that I can increase the spread to accommodate longer kayaks.? Hope to hear from you.......thanks
These videos are great. Really like the ones where you compare products like 3 different front bumpers. Like to see more like that. Maybe like all the places and mounts for hi jacks. Just a idea
I bought this roof rack and it’s awesome! I put a basket on it and carried my camping gear and my kayak on it. The only probably is that I bought a soft top and I can’t use this on the Bestop soft top. 😒
I just read these have a rating of only 88lbs. Curious, since I just ordered these bad boys for two 12 ft kayaks (65lbs each). In your opinion, what would be the failure point? The center of the bar or the attaching brackets / rain gutters? Love how these attach and they’re modularity with different attachments for bikes, baskets, etc. So if its just a matter of bracing the center while hauling the yaks...not a deal breaker. I know I should’ve checked first but Ryan said “kayaks” and I said “click” lol
Matthew, how has this worked with your 2 - 12' kayaks? Thinking about the same thing, but concerned about the integrity of the rain gutters with 150lbs of kayaks at highway speed.
So far, so good man. We’re not getting on the highway with em as we live pretty close the the lake. Been up to 60 and no problems. The polymer footings are the weakness point rather then the gutters. Was thinking about fabbing some little reinforcement brackets. The unknown is UV degradation. We shall see. And also the 88lbs is per rack so... we should be good as the weight is distributed. I made sure not to put the rear rack too far back( 3-4 inches from end) to avoid putting all the stress on the end of the gutter. Hope this helps
This is designated 2 door and 4 door. But where do we install the rear rack on the 2dr? and whats the point of the rubber strip install? Why wouldn't they just add it on there in advance
Why aren't the rubber pieces pre-cut to fit the exact length of the cross bars? Seems a little silly that I have to cut it myself. Almost seems like a manufacturing oversight where they just said screw it 🙄 because of this, I'm not convinced this is a good product.

I read a review that the front bar has to go inline with the freedom panels as it’s not long enough to go further back? Is this true? I would still want to be able to pop out the panels so will that front bar accommodate the width of the back doors?
Rhino Rack's fitment states factory hard top. This will work on most tops with protruding side gutters, however we have not tested on a Sky One Touch top.

Thanks - allot cheaper but same quality as a Thule ($400.00)
No mention of the Jeep roof being wider in the back than the front. This causes a fitment issue.
This is disignated 2 door and 4 door. But where do we install the rear rack on the 2dr?

How much weight can the roof rack handle?
80 pounds
I'm concerned if they would leave a mark on a white hard top.
$455 is a criminal price
Will this hold my 100lb kayak?

I wanna attach roof lights to these. Any objections?
Will this hold a RTT?
Can this roof racks support Rooftop tent
We would recommend a roof rack that is a bit larger for a roof top tent. Check out Rhino Rack's platform racks!
It´s possible to add a james baroud hardshell tent on top of these bars?
Can we use this on the sky one touch ?

Ear rings really !!
Can this hold roof top tent?

@@9929kingfish It cannot. The maximum weight is 88 lbs. I have these for my kayak.
