We'll do lots of practice problems so that scientific notation becomes really easy. In scientific notation, you express a number with exponents on ten. As you move the decimal point, the exponent on 10 changes. Scientific notation is sometimes called exponential notation.
Why would anyone dislike this video 😭😭
Thank you. Please upload videos based on topics like electro, magnetic radiation , black body radiation and similar topics. 😊

Hi sir..... your video of scientific notation was very helpful. But I have some difficulty to understand this question. (If there are 0.000000000000000000000000000911grams electrons in one atom. How many would be in one million atoms. Please explain. My email address is shehnazrafique0@gmail.com. Thanks
Shehnaz Rafique so what's the answer?
Sirrr u are the best amongst everyone 😍
I absolutely love you!! I have no idea what I would do without your videos!! well, probably cry
ANYWAYS, teachers just HAVE to watch your videos so they can learn how to teach. Again, I love you and you're amazing!!
Your videos are a life saver for me right now. I am taking Chemistry for the first time and I am horrible with math. Your videos give me hope that I will survive the class. You make it so clear! Keep up the videos. You are a great teacher! :)
You are so helpful Tyler! Even though I'm in Chemistry 221 (Gen. Chem) in the university, I still need this refresher to get through it. It's amazing how these videos of yours can help people in college as well as kids in maybe middle school or high school. You're making a big difference for many people, so thank you!
Kellie Krueger I can’t agree more. My picky Chemistry teacher in High School is ridiculous but watching these after-school videos really hits the spot.
Thank you so much!!!!!! You actually make chemistry look easy. Do not stop teaching. You sure have a gift.
I just got into honors class, and I was lost. You are better than any teacher I have encountered! Thanks!
You are right. He did a great job.
Literally have never learned things in minutes like I have with your videos. I take my science ged test tomorrow and just wanna say I have confidence in it because of you. Your videos are more useful than any videos I’ve watched or classes I’ve taken. All my life I just needed someone to teach me like this, slow down and explain. Amazing teacher!
Love this guy!
You are incredible & make it sooooo easy to understand - thank you
I can't thank you enough. I was struggling some of my homework and thhis really made me understood. Thanks again
Finally this makes sense! Thank you so much. One quick tip/request. For those having a go without the explanation it would be good if there was a short amount of time to pause or screenshot your video where your hands arent over the problems. Not a criticism, just something i personally would have found helpful so i dont need to pause and play as much. Thank you! :)
These videos have been excellent for review and self-study. Thank you Tyler.
I cried over the material my Uni gave me because I felt so lost. I watched 2 of your videos and I get it and can do these with ease. THANK YOU!
Best explanation of scientific notation I’ve ever heard, thank you!
You explain everything so effortless. Thank you!
Your an absolute life saver I have been browsing trying to find a video and you just immediately got it in my head thank you so much
You're awesome dude I wish you could teach Chemistry at my school
When you do this, you're really interesting, it draws my attention which is really good. You also take your time so we don't have to pause to copy stuff down, you really dumb it down so everyone understands instead of trying to look impressive, it's really good work. Thanks Tyler, I appreciate it, and it looks like I'm not the only one either. :)
These videos make studying so much easier! Thank you for helping me with my chemistry!
thanks for your teaching and for giving us time to learn from you chemistry
My math teacher suggested this video on Google Classroom for my class to watch. For a math test. Thanks for the help!
thank you so much
ive been struggling in math lately a lot and his helps!
Thank you so much for making these videos I now have confidence in doing scientific notation and I am ready for my test tomorrow THANK YOU!!!
You are the best at explaining scientific notation I was able to understand my cookbook better.
thank you for posting this tyler its so understandable and educational keep up the good work and thanks for teaching us these scientific notations
thank you for posting this Tyler its so understandable and educational keep up the good work and thanks for teaching us these scientific notations
I agree with you Peter it makes our math homework a lot easier to understand, and it did help me figure stuff out I didnt know before. Thanks Tyler.
You're a great teacher 👍❤️
I love ur way of explaining everything thing in the most simple way - complete on doing this
This guy might have accually helped me not get a super bad grade on my test
Ditto to Jessagrl89's post. Very thankful for these intro videos. Well done! Many of us have not had scientific notation broken down to the most basic, simple concept....ever. After several years of college, heading towards horticulture and taking my first chemistry class. Yup, there is hope.
I watched 50 videos before this but I could not understand anything u litterly saved my life thank you
You're so good at teaching👏👏
I'm starting to get it a little bit thank you so much!!!
I like it that you put so much sense into your equations thank you very much.
Tyler Thank you so much! u are by far the greatest person who has explained this.
u r js awesome...teacher ..uh made things crystal clear..nw I dnt have any doubts..thnku..its bcz f u ppl DT learning becomes so easier!!!keep it up!!

Thank you. I stumbled on your videos.. I'm going to be taking my test on this. :)
thanks Tyler, you rock. This helped a great deal.
Please help, do you have a video with scientific notation and combined/multiple operation?
Great instructions! They do help a lot!
Thank you so much. Teachers take too much for granted, as if we should already know things.
Thank you you make it easier and I have a test tomorrow! Thank God for you.
Is it possible to link the Understanding scientific notation video you reference at the end?
Thank you for your help!! I'm ready to ace my test today!!
my teacher wants 2.359x10^-6 to be worked out to 1 Significant Figure. would this then equal
0.2x10^-6?
This helped me even more!
What program did you use to make this?
Thank you for making these awesome videos!
Thanks soooooo much you helped me a lot friend .keep up the great work
Hi
U r videos are so useful and make interesting in chemistry.
Thank u
A million thanks to you Sir,
I m in your debt.
where can I find the video you recommended for completely understanding scientific notation and not just being able to do it
Life save. Would of failed my test if it weren't because of you
Thank you Tyler. This is a great apprauch.
wow bro.your a good teacher, thamk you so much man I highly appreciate this knowledge....
Thanks alot. Your videos help
2020 and still helpful !!
Thank you, Tyler for this great video and the amazing explanation you give. I was helping one of my tutees with Scientific Notation when I realized that I can find something else online. I used different teaching strategies on my channel. However, I like your teaching strategies too. We never stop learning and I think we can support each other on UA-cam regardless of the content.
thanks a lot for your passion in teaching God bless 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂
Thanks for the video it was really easy for me to understand
I'm wondering what whould be scientific notiation with a lot of decimals an integers, example: 1234567890.1234567890
why can't you be my chemistry teacher ? :(
ugh yes!!
Thnx for the helpful review I actual get now than in my classes:)
I get it finally!! Studying for me cset
Fabulous teaching! Where is the recommended video "Understanding Scientific Notation"?
Thanks we learned a lot from your video.
Thanks :D you've been a biiiiiig help in my exams ..
You ROCK! Thank you!🤩
Thank you so much! VERY HELPFUL!!!
I'm totally gonna pass my test. Thank you!
On the third example! If you count the numbers from 0 after the decimal point to number 2, that gives you 7. Since you went up to the right, it's negative. Isn't it easier to just count the numbers or does it have a negative effect in a particular example? Thanks for sharing, very helpful. Tyler DeWitt
you are truly amazing!!!!
Thank you ! very helpful
Thanks for that most useful information
This is easy! thanks for making it clear lol I wish you were my 8th grade math teacher (we didn't learn this in science and I don't take Chemistry because I'm not in high school yet)
This helps a lot !
Thank you! You are soooo helpful! 😘
i swear u the best
it's now clear for me.. thank God
Hi! May I ask if the no. is 0.7, 26, and 3.70 how can I derive it in scientific notation? Thank You! Btw I like your Videos!!
Thanks for the help man.
Very,good easy to understand
Great job

thank you you helped me a lot
Thank you !
(9:40) -1.002000 has 7 significant digits but -1.002*10^6 has only 4 significant digits. Is it no problem?
