Clearly, the Gold Dynamo was the best kit! I love having booyah bomb and Burst bomb on it, it helps mobility and survivability so much! I don't play any other rollers, but ever since they added this kit I've done nothing but play it with all my friends! Right guys? ...

Its kinda interesting how the reception towards these weapons changed. Initially, fans were calling the devs crazy for the kits and points the weapons got. Now, everyone is like "wait......they were actually cooking something here???"
Most fans just repeat what competitive players post on twitter
There's genuinely some combos of kits that no one would think of because all the fanmade kits are 90% focused on “lethal bomb + displacement/aggressive special”. Rapid Pro Deco is one of my new favourite kits from just how unique and fun it is, and NO ONE saw that coming, literally no one. The dev team aren’t perfect with kit design, but generally when they give something a utility sub, they KNOW what they're doing with the utility sub (outliers do obviously exist though, but generally it's combos carried over from previous games, like wall rollers, sploosh beacons, undercover mines, etc.).
Yeah im just disappointed in h3s kit. Big bubbler is no good and its old kit is just much better for team pushes and locating ppl.
I think its mostly bc they led with the worst kit by far

While the new Nova isn’t the greatest weapon, I can say that I find it super fun - way more so than the old nova. The combo of long distance paint, aggressive mine placement, and jet for poking make it one of my favorites from this season.
in solo queue i sometimes run an annaki nova set with a bunch of sub saver and ink recovery and just spam mines in people's faces and it's very silly and fun

I have been loving the new Nova so far. I like to either run a bunch of Special Saver and Special Charge-Up and spam Inkjet, or use a bunch of Sub Saver, Quick Respawn and Quick Super-Jump to rush in and get kills by using Ink Mine to combo
For the short amount of time I was raising the weapon’s freshness, I had a very fun time. Spamming ink mines with almost no concern of how many you already have out it fun.
Kits have been looking up honestly. With the last two seasons kits have either been strong or otherwise really really weak, so to see more weapons come out that people actually want to play and can use in the comp scene is great. I’m not even a tetras user, but the kit seemed fun enough and as a result i’ve picked up a new main.

Playing wiper deco i see the main weakness other than comp dependence is that it gets walled out really quick if your team doesnt have bombs to push. Seeing how most top tiers have bombs anyways its not gonna be seen as much but having nothing to poke with really made playing it in stuff like tc and zones significantly harder than vanilla
I've definitely noticed it's super team reliant as well. I can get some pretty good kills with it myself and it's nice for control, but it cannot do everything on its own and certainly isn't capable of picking up the slack everywhere.

In my time playing splatoon I’ve died by sprinklers, angle shooters, and even walls. But I still have yet to get splatted by a super chump.
Why did I just realise that at the start, when the weapons were going across the top, paintbrush was called the annaki paintbrush and it had torpedo ink storm and the vanilla heavy kit is there instead if deco
I think the quality of these kits is actually really nice especially with no bombs (other than curling but we don't count that) and with the lowest weapon being a mid tier is nice

As a splat brella main, i might switch to tent because 1. Tent has a really good kit and 2. Brella somehow feels more inconsistent than before.
Same, but i prolly wont go to tent. Tents start up is really annoying and weird to aim with.
@@vincentngo3409 yeah true I always thought aiming with shooters was difficult because you usually need perfect aim but with weapons with super slow shots (a lot of non bullet shooting type weapons, especially blasters and tent) it's much harder
Rapid Pro Deco turned a weapon I cared absolutely nothing for into a chip damage combo machine that's insanely fun, and I think it speaks volumes to how much these kits were thought through, even without bombs. S-Blast aside, all of these kits give the weapons tools they can use pretty well, and it definitely gives me high hopes for the next round of kits!
Sure yes Tent’s kit is absolutely amazing and I love that aspect of it, but Tent does still struggle with consistency from time to time, such as having it’s shield out just a bit faster and having either a damage buff or less pellet spread could help the main weapon a ton.
yeah, they sorta buffed brellas by fixing shield bugs, but we need the damage back T__T

I'm so happy blasters finally have weapon with a reliable jump shot now! Makes me want to play the others but Its gonna be hard to get used to the rng.
I play rapid deco with two mains of intensify and I honestly think it's viable, jump shots always fly true and it works really well

As a Wiper main since Drizzle season, I'm very glad to see that not only did I get an alternate kit and playstyle, but both of them are really good.
Good breakdown! Thanks for making the vid! Before I give my opinion, I'm mostly a roller main, but I dabble in Sploosh and paintbrush. I tried the Swig Express and had a lot of fun with it, especially on Barnacle. After a week or so, I wanted to try other kits - I played the Splatana Wiper when the game first dropped, I liked the concept but never mastered it. I moved onto the Deco wiper to give it a try, and I haven't changed weapons since. I mostly do Turf War and play mid-rear with it, and I'm having a LOT of fun! It''s a chicken-egg kind of thing; wiper is hard to play because I don't know and have the skill for it, but I can't gather those without playing with it. Just need to refine my technique.

As a splatana main and also tetra dualies main, Im impressive with this two weapons because they have so much potential and incredible power.

I'm pretty sold on the Big Swig now. I said I'd give it a shot if it got a new kit and it did. Results have been mixed, but I'm having a good time. I still wish it had a better kit, but the main weapon is good enough now, in my opinion. I'm not sure what I'd want for its third kit though.

I really like the new Rapid Blaster Pro Deco, it’s really fun to play and leans into the chip damage play style I like to use with blasters.
I have been carving peeps up with the splatana deco. Never thought I could love the wiper more than stamper but it happened. Combined with sub PU and special charge with flexibility of having either run speed or special PU, I feel so versatile despite definitely needing support where necessary considering it struggles to solo kill unlike stamper imo
Honestly the Annaki Nova (i've dubbed it the Novaki) is one of the most fun weapons I've played in a while, to the point where I've used it almost exclusively since it came out. Idk what it is but it is just so much fun
Quick tip for Squecon Super Chump: You can place a Beacon use the ability ant if you have camo jump, even better!
I've really been enjoying the S-Blast, I love its playstyle and using the fact that it's got 2 firing modes
I absolutely love the new big swig kit. Ive been a fan of the weapon before but now it's so much better. Ink storm is perfect for it and Marker actually is better than most people think.
BSE is a weapon I really wanna push for, it has its uses and comboing with the main weapon is amazing with rain, angle shooter is just fun, but just doesn’t synergize as much as I hope for, although shooting DOWN towards players on a flat surface can work well to combo with it! Since shooting towards the ground with angle will not make it bounce directly up, but skim across the ground, niche but still kinda helps, (I love BSE)

the other issue i have about the Line Marker is, that every person i encounter with a weapon that has the sub, dont ever go out of their comfort zone and do nothing but throw their sub at everything that moves. So they're not much than a annoying dmg poker with point sensor spam.
Well on higher ranks it's most likely not a big problem, but we always have to think less experience players too that might struggle on that.
I 1-star every weapon in Splatoon 3 and this is the first season where there isn't a single weapon I'm dreading. In fact I keep switching between them all because they're so fun, even the ones I'm awful with feel fresh and new.
Funnily enough, my two favorite weapons from this update are annaki nova and Painbrush. Call me skill-less cause I am, but actually having ink jet on a shooter is really fun. I’m not much of a Splatling user so ballpoint doesn’t usually go well. I’ve been excited about Painbrush since it got revealed, so my lack of mechanical skill can finally be utilized
It's interesting to see just how different solo queue meta is from competitive meta.
As an S-rank (formerly S+) player, I've been seeing hardly any wiper decos or light tetras, but as soon as the modes change to Clam Blitz, I get served a lobby full of Painbrushes that, while beatable, are very stressful to fight, especially in a mode like clams

ik big swig is okay but i feel like the angle shooter can work if you know how to use it well atleast for me but maybe if angle had a bit more of a buff and a tweak it can be very useful
While I’m sad you ranked my main (H-3 D) at the bottom, thank you for giving RPD some appreciation (as its my second main), especially for Angle Shooter being good on RPD

Line Marker has always been my dream sub for the Rapid Pro, and I’ve been having so much fun with it!

I agree with everything but the big swig, the angle shooter helps a lot with damage and gives a super big one shot area. Me personally using it a lot, it can get a fast kill at around eliter range.

I kinda prefer the base splattling for aggressive plays cause I use the wave breaker as a meat shield and quick ink reset and since I’m always getting it fast with the sprinkler
as an ink brush main, i was so hyped for a new brush weapon, however im quite disappointed as the painbrush kind of mid imo, so here's some buff ideas i'd like to see (not all of them at once ofc):
- better ink efficiency, ofc
- idk if it's just me, but the hit box when you're close, even right on top of an enemy, seems to be janky and not hit, so a fix would be great
- would love to see the dmg when you poke an enemy while rolling be upped, so you can combo, even if it wouldn't really get that much use
- slightly higher jumps? so you can ink above walls more easily, like sloshers
- PLS make it paint your feet more reliably, it's the worst thing having to recharge ink and you're stuck, can't even flick once bc of the recharge cooldown, and with the ink efficiency it basically happens all the time
- and if none of these make it to the buffs, maybe better strafing speed? just a slight more speed to make its movement a bit better, not splatana level of strafing speed tho ofc
I had a lot of fun playing around with wiper deco in clam blitz. The movement on it as well as beakons is so much fun, being able to run around the map and place jump points wherever you like is hilarious. I'm not good at it, and I'm sure I was basically just throwing, but there were so many moments in those games where I found myself behind their back line with a charged slash ready to go to pave the way for the clam holders to get in
Love that weapon and people 💩 on beckon and want a bomb
@@maplemiles3381 I do personally prefer having a bomb, especially in lower ranks where no one uses my beacons, even when I have one near me and the clam basket and someone has a ready power clam on the other side of the map. But when they're used they can be really good.

I love painbrush, it’s fun to play, and I enjoy being up front! Though it’s hard to countinue up front even when I use ink saver because the ink tank still empties so fast. It definitely is fun to play, but it’s not that great

I'm so happy S'Blast feels so good to play, even without the Reefslider it's good for taking out objects compared to other offerings! Another solid "adaptable weapon" to my roster with Flingza and Squeezer.
As a tetra dualie main from splatoon 2, i am very glad we finally got a special on my weapon
they need to just MAKE CURLING BOMB 50% ALREADY. It is absolutely mind boggling how fizzy bomb, a superior sub weapon that also gives you an ink trail for movement is cheaper than curling bomb
I love the annaki splatershot I been having trouble fighting the painbrush but when I pick up the sorella brella it ain’t a problem 😎 (so glad they brought it back)
Annaki nova might not fight very well, but I personally find it fun as hell to use, inkjet on it is really fun
Is there a weapon level or a games played limit that you complete before you fully know how you rank the weapons? I never know if I’m going to like a weapon or not for a while, was wondering if you have a standard?

They increased inkjet's damage radius by like 50% so it went from a meme to one of the best specials in the game
Would the top 3 weapons change in the case sprinkler gets a hard buff? Something like reverting it back to S1 sprinkler or if it unlikely gets reworked into something that can do damage, like a turret mode that tracks enemies in radius.
You know I think the game is going into a good spot (ignoring the stamper nerf which was a bit over kill)
I've always wanted burst bomb and ink storm on big swig to make it more threatening but I can take ink strom
I really like the new H-3 it just needs better base object damage in my opinion

I havn't really played splatlings since deco in splatoon1 and with it being added this update in 3 I was actually so happy I never really played splatlings since it was either a bad sub, special or just played too slow to my liking like Hydra.
This update just made me realise how good I am with splatlings so now I might need to learn how to llay the others

I've been playing Splatana Wiper since I picked up Splatoon 3 for Christmas. I wasn't sure about the new kit. I hardly ever get hit by the missiles so I assumed I wouldn't get many hits. For the most part, I was correct. I can usually take out more players with the stamper, especially if clustered together. With missiles, I might get 1-2 every other match. The beacon is the best part for the team over all and I focus more on using that than splatting. In Ink war, I get low kills, deaths slightly below that, but I get a lot more wins and by a larger amount of inked turf...but...the people that I'm playing with has to be on board. When I play with my daughter, both in the same room, we frequently get fist bumps.
As a Anaki Splatershot Nova main (I probably misspelled that) I see this as an absolute win. I will say it does have its weaknesses and I forget the sub weapon exists but I do like how it can be used. I have had moments where I got kills with it and others were just to mark someone but I use it as a somewhat bait to bring them to the mine and scaring them with it. The damage is low, only have a 5 shot kill and I really wished it was stronger but that doesn’t stop me from getting 5-7 kills with no deaths (sometimes)
How strong do you think is Wiper Deco in comparison to other high/top tier weapons and vWiper? Because in my opinion is the kit weaker on it's own, but the game is a 4v4 and aggressive weapons like Beacons, Missiles and a main weapon that can follow them (kinda like cds).

Wait Flingza is a Zones niche? I've been using it on Clams as a Brush counter and a defense breaker with missiles. Is it just a solo queue thing?

They’re fun weapon’s honestly, made me get out my comfort zone and try all of these just for fun. Still I believe that they should’ve gave the dapples the zip caster 😢
If the main issue with Painbrush is ink efficiency, could running a decent amount of MSU push it up a lot?

I have been messing around with the annaki nova for a few days now and WOW this weapon is so fun. The combination of mines and inkjet makes it feel really strong in clams. My only complaint is for the love of god why is this thing not a 4 shot?

The way I play annaki nova is: I chip damage the opponent enough to scare them away then chase them with inkjet or force them into ink mines
I love how hes implying to us that were allowed to question his choices at the start of the video, a lot of us probably arent THAT eductaed on the comp scene so its comforting
i kinda want tenta missles on that custom dualies ngl..... man ima probs get splatoon 3 again just cause custom is here again (not sure how much ima be using those beacons but.... guess they can be handy depending on scenerio)

I’ve been using swig a fair bit and I’ve gotten about 4 kills with line marker and it’s so funny every time
i sure love it when they bring back my favorite splatoon 1 weapon to 3 and dont even give it the MPU buff that they gave nautilus
Did anyone else forget toxic mist existed? It's on so little weapons and it's so bad noone uses it anyway. Just one of the like 30 things in the game that need a rework!
