The statistic about the Yungas road is out of date. It was correct prior to the construction of Route 3. The Yungas road is now a cycling path for tour groups. I biked down it 3 years ago!
I'm an Argentinian, raised in Bolivia living in Texas and cannot wait to be back to Tarija. I've been all over South America, the US, Europe, little bit of Central America, Asia and the middle East and Bolivia will always be my favorite place in the whole world.
Every country has great places, people, food etc. However, in my opinion, the country that offers the most to any tourist is COLOMBIA! All are great do not get me wrong. But Colombia has a little of everything it seems?😊
@@Jack51971 my problem with most of South America is insecurity, hence why I keep choosing Bolivia. Colombia is a beautiful country but dangerous, same goes to Brazil or Perú. Bolivia, Uruguay and Paraguay personally are my favorite tourist destinations: they mix authenticity, adventure, gastronomy, access to a few first world commodities and stunning views with safety.
I’m raised and born in Sweden 🇸🇪 but my parents are from Bolivia Cochabamba 🇧🇴. They came to Sweden for university studies .. my mother for medical studies and my father for engineering physics. I’m so proud over my origines.
I am the daughter of a Brazilian (mom) and Bolivian (dad) who lives in America. I can confirm that many people don’t really know much about Bolivia. To the point they don’t know what continent is from. I visit Bolivia couple times and it is great. One of my favorite things I have from Bolivia is two little alpaca toys made from real alpaca fur. With yarn attach to their chest that represents the Bolivia flag. Including a poncho that has little llama stitch into it.
I've heard a different origin story of the bowler hat worn by the women. They were intended for the British railroad workers, but they were too small. So instead of throwing them away, they convinced the women that they were very fashionable among the women in Europe. On another note, back in the mid 70s when I was quite young, my dad's job took us to La Paz for 2 years. It is a beautiful and diverse country. I am excited to finally be returning to visit in the near future.
This video was very informative, thank you! I was heading to bolivia today but had a hiccup with my PCR test, hopefully ill get that sorted and reschedlude the flight as soon as possible.
Mac Donald’s was not exiled from Bolivia. They left on their own. We have other American junk food chains like Burger King, KFC, etc. Also the indigenous percentage dropped to around 40% in the latest 2012 census. The 2001 census indigenous % was really high around 60%. Being indigenous in Bolivia is still hard to measure, because of discrimination and outdated colonial ideas such as that moving to the cities makes indigenous people not indigenous anymore. Great job on the video!
Si así hay mucha ambre mucha gente mala es feo no venga no lo queremos con esas críticas quedense en el primer mundo Olvídense que existe se lo agradecemos
Nope. Not interested in the least. They want to charge me to enter the country rather than pay me to go there ? -- Fat chance ! -- I'll go where I'm treated best - thank you very much. It's no wonder fewer visitors go there ? Welcome them instead w/o charging just to go !
Que bueno que no venga entre menos mejor ,porque Extranjeros los BOLIVIANOS también pasamos requisitos y se paga sólo a paices limitrofes tal ves no ,si tiene mala vibra quedense se lo agradeceremos que no venga
Please note, La Paz is 3,640m above sea level, not 6,649 as the video says.
Also the mistake that Santa Cruz (the city) has 2 millions inhabitants, not 3 millions, the department (or state) of Santa Cruz has 3 millions.
@@sczrass 2.3 actually, so you're not correct either. 🤔😂
@@ollielevido7407 around 2.2 - 2.3 millions, I was not being exact haha
@@sczrass let's hope a few more people move there hahaha! Thanks for watching anyways
