At this far into the game, Iridium is the least of your concerns. Qi Gems are worth 100x more than any Iridium Node you find, and you can always trigger the switch at the entrance to activate the Dangerous enemies afterwards.
I'm proud to say that last Monday I made it to level 100 of the Skull Cavern only using three staircases! Granted I was on year 4 and had a lot of stuff lol but combat isnt my forte and I'm still proud of myself

Listen, I did this too to get to level 100, but I didn’t pass nearly this much iridium. When I was doing it though I didn’t have the galaxy sword and could barely survive there. Now that I’ve got it I’m definitely going back to get all the resources.
You don't even need stone anymore to get loads of staircases. You can trade in 1 Jade for 1 staircase every Sunday at the desert trader. You'll be golden if you just set up a whole bunch of jade crystallariums.
Gotta love the only time you stop is to finish the monster slayer.

I must have been on a lucky day 😂 luckily I already had lots back at the farm, I think I was doing a QI quest and it took priority lol

Sometimes you can be really unlucky. Keep going, the further down you go the more you’ll find.
