I love your video style just exactly how it is: some candle making, some packing, some talking and some music with no talking. It's the perfect combo IMO! I'm in the process of testing to open my own skin care and candle business and you are such an inspiration ❤ I'm so glad I found your channel 🥰
I love how you showed how to do a candle business from your small apartment that shows it is possible no matter what space you have. I love your new candle studio. I like your videos would like to see how you started your business and why and tips or things you learned along the process
Honestly, I agree with you. The silent videos with voice over is preferable for me because it decreases any need to edit or reshoot any mistakes. It’s probably easier for you also because While you’re watching the video you can do the voice over. But whatever makes you comfortable, I’m just so thankful & grateful for the info that you pass along to us.
Good Morning, I’ve always wanted to open a candle /soap business. I have watched a few of your videos. If you are open to suggestions?? I’m all about saving time lol. I’m a nurse and it’s all about time management isn’t it. There seems to be many steps to preparing the jars before pouring. I have a suggestion that would save you some time when it comes to labeling the bottom of your jars/tins, ready ?? Lol. Open the box from the bottom, you can label all the jars and tins while they are in the box, so you are touching them one less time ?? I hope it helps you. I do like the silent videos. Good luck with your business, it looks like you are there. Scott
We are such kindred spirits. Our work ethic is solid, our motivation is on point. I had to start taking an hour lunch or a literal 15 minute timed break. Love, A Candle and Soap Maker in Texas
Hi I know this an older video but you asked .. I like ASMR ones.. where you just work and we hear the natural noises from doing your job... I’d have to say yours is my favorite studio blog and videos in general re: candle making. Do you buy all your packaging (wrapping paper) from uline? Where do you buy your 4 oz jars?
SO happy to have discovered your channel recently! Would love to see a video learning more about the wholesale process - like do you need to have specific licensing or insurance? For video style I loved the mix of just music sections watching your process & a lil bit of you talking 😊.
@@felisadurr8952 Appreciate your feedback! If something isnt selling well then i discontinue after a a while.
Hi there, loving your content and how you go through the entire process including when you stop for breaks, etc. Would be great to hear which label printer you use and hot that's working out? Many thanks 🙏🏻
@@UrbanWanderlustStudios I'm also very interested in the label printer info. I noticed the one you link to isn't the one you use here, and I'm wondering of there's a big difference in quality between the two, because the labels in your vid look amazing!
@@ElectroAnnie I think they might be sold out of the one I use. The difference between the LX500c (the one I have) and the lx500 is that the “c” means it has a cutter that cuts the paper for you. That’s all. Otherwise you’d have to rip it yourself using the metal teeth on the printer
@@UrbanWanderlustStudios Oh! Ok, I guess I was confused. When I looked up the name of the one you showed, it came up as being over $1k more than the linked one.
Hi Great video! Thanks for sharing. Can you share what vendors you purchase the candle jars from? I would like to keep my inventory stocked, which has been challenging just starting out.
New to your channel and think that you're very comfortable on camera 😊. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your content. The products look great! Greetings from Buffalo NY ❤️!!!
Ma'am can you make a video on how to measure candle wax, how to add the fragrance oils, like wat type of wax do you use, wat all things needed to start candle business... Please 🙌❤️
Love your videos thank u I’m struggling with wick testing! I used eco 16 for my tins and the melt pull wasn’t there and neither was the smell any suggestions?
I love you video's so much. It gives me a good insight of how you run a candle business. I have a question; can you show us how you clean your station (after all the dried up wax)? It becomes a mess in my studio and i dont know what the best way is... Thank you and love from The Netherlands! ♥
I use soy wax which takes 1 week to cure (you can cure for longer if you like). This video was taped over a few days + time it takes to ship to it's destination = 1 week. I time everything out. But to each their own, some makers only cure for a few days others a few weeks. See what works for you and your wax type.
Pretty hair...Anywho i just found you as I'm going to start making candles and try to sell to local stores as my town has many mom n pop shops that would love it..Anywaysmay i ask how you go about getting wholesale orders/ and what do u find is the best advertising method.Keep up the great content
I am happy I found you! Watching thru all of your vids. I think you mentioned working w/ soy. That is what I am currently doing and I have added 2% beeswax to help. I still have issues w/ cooling and sink holes some. I like the idea of the heat gun but the darkening of the wicks and the swirl that's left behind drives me nuts. Did you have those same issues? Any suggestions? Thanks so much!
Keep the heat gun away from the wick. Only point towards the edge and it will slowly melt the entire top. Or you can try holding g the heat gun further away from the top at a lower level- takes longer to heat/smooth tops, but helps keep your wick intact.
@@UrbanWanderlustStudios Thank you! I will try that! Did you have issues with the heat gun leaving the shiny swirl in the wax? I might be overthinking it. I’m sure customers won’t even notice. I’m trying not to baby them too much because I feel like it’s impractical as I grow.
Yes I’ve had those shiny swirls too. People won’t notice but we do. Annoying lol. You can either heat it up one more time and they will most likely go away or leave it as is.
Love this!! For the printer- do you have to buy labels in the various sizes you need separately and change out the paper each time you print different labels for the candles and the lip balm? How cost effective is the lx500- really considering purchasing one. Thanks for any insight!
That’s years of testing the right formulas and pouring temperatures. It’s different for everyone depending on type of wax, the climate where you’re pouring and curing.
Yep I have a whole system! I clean every single jar the moment I receive them at the same time I'm checking for damages (broken jars/cracks). I forget which video I mentioned that in...
Thanks for watching! Definitely take you time in testing your candle line. Don’t try to add too much so quickly. I did that when I first started and had to refocus myself cuz it was a lot to handle at once. Hope that helps. Good luck!!
