Look at this cast, they were assembled to make this a smash movie. Vic Morrow was great as ever. A. Martinez showed true promise and talent. But Billy Dee. He should have gone on to be a Denzel level star. Especially after lady sings the blues.
Excellent 70's action film 🎬 Billy D Williams looking cool as ever. Rip Vic Morrow. Another great 70's action flick with Billy D Williams is Hit 1973 with Richard Pryor
Galatians 6:7-8 (KJV) Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that he shall also reap. Here is the Bible way to Heaven. Dear Jesus I know that I am a Sinner, I deserve to go to HELL, please forgive me of all my SIN and give me ETERNAL LIFE. I'm not TRUSTING in my WORKS, I'm not TRUSTING in my RELIGION. I'm only TRUSTING in my FAITH and BELIEF in you JESUS CHRIST. Thank you for SAVING ME. Amen: Grace through Faith by Salvation it's the only way. ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED! No matter what!
51 minutes into the movie, and I still find it confusing to understand what it is all about. Is the good cop actually a bad cop or pretending to be a bad cop or a good cop with also a bad side etc etc. The 1970's cars alone are not enough to keep me concentrated, in that case I prefer to watch Streets of San Francisco with a good although predictable story and an excellent cast, or why not, the handsome Charlie's Angels, which even boasts a superb soundtrack. But here... Confusion, confusion, confusianism....
So it seems like the 1974 movie "The Take" has received mixed reviews over the years. Some critics have praised the film's unconventional approach to the crime genre and its exploration of corruption, while others have found it to be slow-paced and meandering. One review on Rotten Tomatoes describes it as "a movie of moments" with some memorable action scenes, but notes that the overall plot can be confusing and unsatisfying. Another review on Letterboxd highlights Billy Dee Williams' performance as the crooked cop Sneed, describing him as a "fashion icon" and praising his portrayal of the character. Overall, it seems like "The Take" has some interesting elements and standout performances, but may not be for everyone. Pi
It’s Times like watching this that I need to ask my mum ….I don’t get it?! And she will leave me saying “Ohhh now I get it” because right now I Don’t 😅
I am confused. I thought he was a good cop but after getting beaten up, then he starting taking mob bribes . Or a go-between just giving the bribes cash to that corrupted politician. No bad a movie. In this movie Billy Dee in 1974 reminded me of Michael Jackson before his surgeries. Very handsome!
By today’s standards or any others this is a bonafide classic. The authenticity can’t be duplicated.❤
The late Mr. Sorrell Booke, aka Boss Hogg in the house😅
🥰 Love those 70's real actors real machines no A I
I watched this being filmed on my lunch break downtown. It was pretty cool.
Long break you got

No, I came back late and got chewed out by the boss.... lol.
Tell us more. When and where exactly was it and what exactly happened?
God I do love to see these 1970s flicks in their proper HD movie quality, not just old TV / VHS rips
- This one feels VERY post *Bullitt (1968)*
They went in with earth tone colors as far as the fashion of the 70's clothes; Billy Dee Williams killed it.
Except that short sleeved denim leisure suit...😮 way beyond not cool
Billy de Williams was so cool looking 👍
I miss the pay phones.

Chose Lando Kalreisian instead. Made a few dollars off Star Wars.

And then the SF Police dept hired Harry Callahan...cool movie, love seeing all those cool 70s cars, and how many I can remember 😂😂😂
Any movie with Vic Morrow was cool 😎
Great movie to watch with an ice cold Colt 45..
there are enough stereotypes in the first 10 minutes of this masterpiece to fill 5 made-for-tv movies! 😄😄
The "scars of child hood trauma" the world was just finding out about was really over played.
Not too shabby. Pretty good plot line and the acting was good (well how can it be bad with the likes of Billy Dee Williams in it?).
John Davis Chandler the unsuspecting hitman! But, Vic Morrow is the ultimate in this movie 🎬
So much polyester - don’t light a match!

Maybe they weren't aware of shooting the tyres out.
During the first shootout i notice the cops didn't order everyone to "GET ON THE GROUND NOW"!
And what is is about?
I understand about monetizing your channel, but, dude, even YT free movies don't have that many ads...ruined a good movie
Gave it that 70's vibe.
11:05 Bill Dee. Wow.
What's the point?

I got in as far as 45 seconds. That whining 'music' is enough to turn me off right there. So long.
We do not miss you.
Diverse cast
Absolutely nothing about this movie makes any sense at all. Except that Billy Dee Williams is overrated and completely forgettable.
The Take should have been called The Crap
No taste for good "old" movies.
