Hi ! We also had this concern with our wedding. Fortunately there are plenty of kid friendly resorts nearby , but wedding guests from outside the resort have to pay some sort of day pass fee per person to get into the excellence for the wedding day.

Hi. Thanks for this video.. My fiancé and I are still deciding if we really wanted to go with destination wedding which is our dream wedding and looking at finest playa mujeres resort. Your video really helps!! Just quick question, not sure if you mentioned it lol. How is the customs and the immigration line in Mexico? Did your guest had long lines and had issues in customs? And you also mentioned the promo codes in booking for the guests room. Did your guest mostly book thru third party site like expedia and use the promo code or did your guests book directly thru the resort’s website?? Sorry for all the questions. We are still debating if we should go destination wedding or not, and really desperate now to message you lol. Also now another concern is that my uncle said that cancun may not be safe like he heard this “cartel” news from mexico and they are like afraid to go to mexico. So now I’m hesitant to do destination wedding 😫😔😞
Hi! Great question because customs was something I was worried about as well. However, none of my guests (I had over 60) had any problems with customs or immigration. My cousin had a slight problem because she didn't get her passport renewed in time but that has nothing to do with Mexico haha. I guess it depends on what time you arrive at the airport and if you get lucky but we got there around 11am and maybe waited 40 minutes to clear customs and get our bags. It was super easy. No one was hassled or anything like that in the Cancun airport. I live in Japan and have had WAY more issues getting in and out of the Tokyo airport haha! As far as safety, it is very safe at the resorts. They have gates and keep really tight security. My guests and I felt safe the entire time. I went out of the resort for my bachelorette (a private catamaran) and also felt safe. We just did day drinking and made sure to be back at the resort by 5 pm before the sun went down. I think you are taking a risk if you leave the resort at night and go to clubs just like it's a risk to do that in the states. However, my husband went to clubs at night in downtown Cancun for his bachelor party and was totally fine. Just be observant. The resorts however are super safe! I also had the same problem with some people (my grandma and grandpa) not coming to my wedding because of how "scary" Mexico is. At the end of the day it's your wedding. Do what you want and if someone doesn't want to come it is there loss on a good time! Destination wedding is the way to go!!
