Wind definitely affects arrows. Depending on the fletch you use, arrow diameter, speed of bow and speed of wind will determine the affect you will see on the shot. I'll add that you will want to practice really short shots to see where to hold. In general 10-20 will hit the same or within a half inch in my practicing. Something sub 10 yards you will need to start holding high. For example shooting 5 yards I will hold for 38 yards to shoot tacks.
Logan, don't bow hunt until you are confident in your capabilities. Remember what's on the other side of that arrow. Strive to be quick and clean about it-No suffering!!! Praying for you.
To me time in the woods with your family is priceless. My daughter and I go to several 3D shoots a year. We really want to make it to Big Sky Montana for Ultimate archery challenge. Is Hushin going to be there?

I've been watching Hushin for at least 4 years and I've seen Casey make some pretty bad shots. I hope he is practicing his breathing and learning how to relax? Something these target ranges don't do is place the target where you can't get a good stance on the target. That seems to be were Casey fails, his stance and his breathing. I wonder if he is working to get the best shot?

Unless you are shooting 70 yards+ I haven’t noticed any appreciable wind drift even when shooting larger diameter aluminum arrows
