Hello Fr. Joseph... I have actually been doing this for years... I also write letters to the Lord and to our Lady on my journals and then I just stay in silence, waiting for them to respond... sometimes the response is silence which I think is what my heart needs at that moment... but journaling, being able to "talk" to the Lord through the written word stops my mind from wandering and it really keeps me focused on Him... I am grateful to the Lord for everything and also for having pen and paper :)
